How do you think Days did for the week of August 25-29? How were the characters, sets, storylines, pace, etc? From a viewer’s standpoint, what were the WINNERS and LOSERS this week …? You be the soap critic. All writers welcome.

    The DiMera storyline and John stuff was intreesting. I also liked the twist with Lucas demanding his chikd. No more wimpy Lucas! And Chelsea and Dan are no more. Yay!

  3. I had a spelling mistake. I meant Lucas demanding his CHILD. I should also add that EJ did get some decent airtime. It is good to see him as his own man, not just Sami’s emotional sidekick.

  4. The week was weak. John and Marlena were exciting – but it’s more than evident that the two need to get back together. Old John needs to come back – Drake’s acting is getting sour. Chelsea, Dan, and Kate…oh My!!!! Everything else was the pits.

  5. Any week that has EJ on it is a GREAT WEEK! Could that man be more gorgeous??? Love the Tony/EJ interaction. Love Anna. Stefano on the loose is exciting. Lucas and his custody threats was lame. How many times to they have to repeat the same old Lucas/Sami stuff? I truly can’t stand Lucas and Sami. The France stuff was boring, but I like that Nick had some screen time. I love Trent and Nicole. The Bo stuff is getting old too time to wrap it up. It’s about time Steve got a job. Daniel/Kate/Chelsea Ugh! I would be happy if Daniel was the one that was going to be murdered. But it looks like Trent is going to be the victim.
    Marlena and Jawn I just don’t care. Yawn!

  6. I don’t want John to revert 100% back to his old ways. I love his edge and I hope we can find a SL for Jarlena. I love Stefano being back cuz I love the interaction between the DiMera brothers – all of them. I’m happy to see Dansea winding up. UGH! I want EJAMI as a couple. We deserve it with no more interference. Let Lucas move on out or back to prison. Love EJ interacting with other cast members. James is a gold mine to the show.

  7. I loved the STAX storyline this week. I thought the banter between Stephanie and Max was hysteical! From who was more jealous in the jail cell to Max trying to explain Tiffany kissing him and Stephanie wiping the lipstick off, I could not stop laughing!! Darin Brooks and Shelley Hennig’s chemistry is amazing and they play off each other so well.

  8. The last time we saw Dansea was happy on the roof top of his apartment, then almost 3 weeks later Chelsea finds out about the fling gave no time for a real build-up for anyone to care about it. Also if Chelsea wants a man twenty years older she has got to realize his past relationships could always come out of nowhere and haunt her. In order for her to forgive him and move on, she will have to trust in him and believe that this latest fling is really over for him even though it may not be over emotionally for Kate!

I loved Stefano’s return although it isover the top I think they need him to be strong again like the old days… ALthough now everyone talks like they could take him down even whimpy Lucas… Love Ej & Sami… If thye dont put these 2 together I will stop watching the show, and I have been watching over 20years since I was 14. I get bored with Marlena and John and I fast forward over Steph & Max, I think they are trying to force something there. Chelsea and Dan Gross… she & Nick were so cute at first but days ruined them. As far as Lucas getting Custody.. What judge would give a man custody of his daughter after he just got out of prison for shooting his sisters father? Could Mickey have been any more stupid with the “I think he has a case” That is sooooo silly. finally I think they need to get kate a man hopefully Roman, I thought that really worked. but Kate and dan are better in my mind than chelsea and dan, I can’t even watch those two.

  10. I completely fast forwarded thru the John and Marlena stuff. Sooo boring! Love the Sami and EJ kiss and intimate moment-and how she is admitting her feelings for him. That is my favorite and keeps me watching. The whole Nicole liking EJ bit, needs to stop. I actually liked Max with that girl Tiffany in France. She was cute….maybe Days should bring her on full time and boot Mel. Found Mel very annoying. Also glad the whole Chelsea/Dan/Kate thing came to an end. Kate sleeping with Dan is just gross, and if she mentioned one more time about how they hooked up I was going to freak. She should of just announced it from the roof tops since she brought it up every 5 minutes. Can’t wait for next week. Lets get some more Sami and EJ and maybe Nicole and Dan. Like that Morgan is going to stop whining about her dad and be able to develop with Phil.

  11. Not enough Ejami!!!!! John & Marlena are getting old, reminds of the bad storyline of EJ/Sami/Lucas. I love you, no I don’t love you.
    I can’t beleive any judge would give a felon custody of a baby. Lucas needs to move on and stop causing trouble for Ej/Sami. Please get a man for Nicole other than EJ. Move on with the Max & sister story. Like Victor & Stefano thing. Did not like Bo hiding evidence, he’s not that kind of person. Move the story along with Phil & Morgan.

  13. Sami and EJ are felons as well! I think Lucas should have joint custody and move on without Sami. I was glad to see that he said he is through with her. Love EJ and Nicole! They look great together. I think the best man for Sami ever was Brandon. For me the highlight of the week would have to be the Friday episode, because we have some intrigue happening at the DiMera mansion. The low point of the week for me was the very idea that Chelsea’s grandmother slept with her boyfriend. Too Jerry Springer!

  14. Really liked Sami and EJ together. I am so frustrated with the whole Chelsea/Daniel/Kate thing. EWWW why would they work so hard to put Chelsea and Daniel together to have a Daniel and Kate thing it just makes me ill I won’t be able to watch anymore if they don’t at least try and I mean really try with Chelsea and Daniel. Tired of the whole Stefeno mess.

  15. Send Kate packing, she has made a job out of interfering with her children’s lives. Keep Bo off the force and let him join Steve in his private eye business. It is so more exciting when they don’t have to go by the rules when chasing Stefano. When Hope and Bo did it, it was exciting!!! Please keep the scenes a little less out of the hospital a while. I’m sick of hospitals, we see them enough in the real world.
    Bring Susan Banks back, and let E.J. contend with his mother along with Daddy. Bring Jack back, I don’t care if Melissa Reeves is with him. He can be editor of the paper, got sick of England, Melissa decided to stay, recast her. If you bring back EIleen Davidson she could also play the role where last we seen her she was locked away somewhere. Stefano’s card, lock away his children.

  16. Found the Max and Stephanie storyline boring as well as Philip and Morgan. Want Lucas with Sami, but am glad that he is taking a break from her antics and fighting for his daughter. Do not see any chemistry between Ejami. Was happy to see Bo and Hope – hope to see more of them. Not happy about Dan and Kate being together – that was a mistake. Want to see more Tony. My favorite part of the week – John and Marlena! Please don’t disappoint us Jarlena fans – bring the old John back and the super couple we know and love, back to fight Stefano!

I would like Johnand Malena together not her and Roman give him alove intrest,I don”t want to see EJ and Sami together because Lucas loves her and is good for her Iwould like to see that Will is the one who shoot EJ and Lucas took the rap for his son.Iwould like that it turn out that Jonny is Lucas not EJ let Steffano be gone for good it so boring to see he die and com back to life more times than i can count I have been watching the show for over 50years but if the couples that are
    inlove don’t get together and stay together i am going to stop watching it forever.

  18. WINNERS-love the Dan/Kate/Chelsea storyline…glad Chelsea found out about the tryst..although, the method used for discovery was weak-she should have caught them in a kiss/embrace.

    The Dimera Boys…always a big Plus!

    Phil not wanting Bo to take the heat-commendable.

    LOSERS-Roman and John fighting over Marlena, BORING…please change this storyline. Let Roman hook up with Kate or something. am I the only one who can see that John and Marlena look awkward in love scenes…please!

    Do you think Lexie could have a tryst with the ‘goodly’ Dr. Dan? they look good together and they are friends…might add some spice…

  20. I am so upset about Chelsea and Daniel not being together. I can’t understand why Chelsea can’t forgive Daniel. She forgave Nick for sleeping with her mom; however, she can’t forgive Daniel for sleeping with her grandmother. What is the difference? Besides, Daniel was not even with Chelsea at the time.

  21. The writing has gotten worse.
    Im finding Days is becoming the joke of the industry again. Its nothing but camp, some of the acting is getting worse and the stories are offering little hope of a return to what I knew as the program which once was a great romance, family adventure program.

    The greatest actors are sidelined for pure camp and its becoming an embarrassment.

    Ed Scott was right.
    Corday was wrong. He has really bad writing right now and the current producer does not seem to care.

  22. The reason the ratings went up was b/c Sami and EJ kissed on Friday and everyone watched hoping to see more in the week that followed. Instead we got some over the top stupid dream of Nicole. This week turned out to be boring. I can’t get into the Chelsea Dr. Dan stuff no matter how hard I try.

  24. Sorry to say, but Sami has never been good for ratings. She gets bad writing, bad direction, acts crazy and that is why we lost 30% of the viewers when she was put front and center.

  25. Breaking up Daniel and Chelsea was a huge mistake. There was such potential there and the writers blew it. There are a lot of unhappy fans out there right now. And in the process, they runied the character of Kate. For someone terrified of the affair getting out, she sure talked about it every second of every day. She sent a text to Daniel knowing that Chelsea was with him. Let’s get Kate out of the picture and get the writers to give us a romance for Daniel and Chelsea. Now that I would tune in for.

  26. Phillip/Morgan/Chloe/Lucas/Sami/E.J./Nicole: Loved Lucas finally doing something about ensuring his daughters safety, at least someone is. Sami is so blinded by E.J. as a martyr and putting it all on the line to retain the Dimera Empire but honestly, why does anyone even care about the Dimera Empire or the Dimera name, there’s not much you can do to clear permanent black marker. The Dimera men are all trying so hard to win the Empire, they’re gonna lose the people who accepted them for who they are, not for what they own. I like Phillip and Morgna together because 1) I prefer Chloe with Lucas but dn’t want Phill all alone because he’s a cutie, and 2) He and Morgan feel better together, Chloe and phil seemed like all they’d ever be to each other are bootycalls. Speaking of Chloe and Lucas, i love them, everything is so sweet and cute and new with them and I’m interested to see how Chloe will take on being with a man with a kid and interacting with the kid. I don’t see why Sami is so mad about Chloe and Lucas, she’s finally free to be with E.J. Despite what Lucas supposedly did (I’m still leaning toward Will being the culprit and hope he comes back soon, to clear his father and hopefully for a storyline), I guess I’m one of the few who believe Lucas has every right to see his daughter, have custody of his daughter, and be in her life, under the circumstances. N matter what he did, he is her father, he loves her, and E.J. really has no say in what happens in regards to her, he needs to focus on Johnny. I’m happy Lucas is going to spend some time with his daughter, and she’ll be away from the Dimera clutches, at least until Sami blows a jealousy gasket. I guess I’m one of the few who LIKE Nicole and E.J. as a couple. I think they’ve both come a long way from their past selves yet still retain the qualities that make them so darn lovable and awesome. Hopefully, E.J. would smarten up and get off the crazy train to hell that Sami’s track leads to. See, I see Nicole as fun crazy, Sami is just insane most of the time. I love her but she should really come with a warning label, though E.J. knew exatcly what he was getting into. I prefer the chase more myself, Ejami together bores me, at least Lumi was sweet.
    Dan/Chelsea/Kate: I could care less about the end of this couple because they never really began for me, I was always a Chick fan. I don’t think that Kate and Dan should be blamed for their tryst by Chelsea, only for not telling her. They were two grown, consenting adults and what they did was in the past. Chelsea needs to understand that a man Dan’s age is bound to have a past and she needs to ask about it. Someone should have told her though, no matter how much I despise her character now.
    John/Marlena: So glad those two have split for awhile. I like new John and determined Marlena, as a happy couple they sickened me.
    Stefano: So what, he’s not half of a quarter of what he used to be, his name brings more laughter than terror to me.

  27. Not a good week at all for Days :( Would Stefano use up his nine lives already! I am so bored with the same old storylines…..Dan and Chelsea were actually exciting and new. If you look at stars today, there are a lot of young and old couples. Look at Michael Douglas and Catherine Zeta or Calista Flockhart and Harrison Ford. It had a new twist, and having Grandma Kate jump in yet again-it was so Jerry Springer. I am a fan of the EJ and Sami chemistry. Nicole is hot and spunky, so lets give her a man that can handle that. EJ is too family oriented for a girl like that-and he really is cute with Sami. Lucas and Chole are cute-lets give them a shot. Maybe Will can return and join the opera with Chole. He should come out of the closet. No more of Nicole’s 40 style dreams….that was pure fast forwarding material. -and if John and Marlena make out one more time-might puke. Bring on more new and young actors/actresses-and stop repeating the old storylines!

  28. I agree with Lysa P. on that one. I am more disappointed with this show with each passing week.
    ANNOYING new characters are hogging the screen (Trent, Melanie). The storylines come out of nowhere and are not exciting or engaging (Trent as Max’s father, Kate and Dan having a tryst). The couplings are so random and unbelievable (Lucas & Chloe, Chelsea & Dan).
    Worst of all, this has been going on for so long that I doubt the people behind the show even care what the ratings, viewers, and people like Ed Scott have to say.
    I yearn for the days when Days didn’t stink.

  29. I am so sick of EJ and Sami stuff. I think Sami should end up by herself for a while. The John and Marlena stuff gets on my nerves too. You know they are going to end up together and I just see no entertainment value out of proloning it. Dan and Chelsea are over THANK GOODNESS!!! They got on my nerves.

  30. So tired of the Trent/Max/Mel saga! Would love to see someone get the best of Stefano for once! He is always to powerful which makes it unbelieveable! Give John his memory back!! Chelsea/Dan/Kate…hum…her Mom Billy, screwed Nick and now Kate screws Dan…what a family! Chelsea need to move on back to Nick! Sick of Choloe and Lucas! Make Lucas the son of Stefano and Kate and let him start working for Stefano and screw things up for Stefano! Sami needs to marry EJ again and the twins need to both be EJ’s! So tired of Alexie/Abe/Theo BORING!
    Bring back Belle and Shawn…I loved the last Belle, she was the best, even though her character was given a dumb role!
    So tired of trouble maker Nicole.
    So far with Stefano back the show is like a rerun…Stefano is plotting doom and everyone is running scared! Come on writers!

  31. Who is the little boy playing Theo? He is very talented to be able to play a child with and without autism and make it believeable. Why isn’t he on the cast list? Is he overlooked because of his age? I will keep my eyes open for him because I have a feeling he will go on to be a successful actor if being a child star doesn’t get him first.

  32. I am so SICK of Nicole and Trent – please put it to an end. I am also sick of all the love triangles. Can’t there just be a storyline? Let’s put some mystery into the mix, let’s add a little romance……(Nick and Mel?)…. People watch soaps to escape reality for a little while. Why can’t the writers take a break and go away – read a few romance novels and come back with some freaking ideas. Is it too much to ask? I have read some good novels in my time and they would make for some compelling drama……. Why must this show be all about things that really wouldn’t happen. Come on, what is Stefano – the Saddam Hussein of daytime. Really… let’s have some normal stuff like – I don’t know. I love the actors on this show and that’s why I’m loyal but I find myself recording the show and fast forwarding through most of it. I used to be GLUED to the set- what the hell happened? Why can’t the writers get the hint and write something more – real – more believable. Can’t wait to see more E.J. / Sami scenes – their chemistry is AMAZING. I also like the storyline with Mel/Nick. This show could be fantastic because of the cast:

    Kristian Alfonso, Shawn Christian, Bryan Dattilo, Deidre Hall, Jay Kenneth Johnson, Peter Reckell, James Scott, Allison Sweeny… really people as viewers can’t we ask for more? I feel as if the storyline insults my intelligence sometimes…….

  33. This has nothing to do with the blog question, but I really don’t want to see Morgan leave. I think her and Phillip could have some nice chemistry. I definitely don’t want to see him and Chloe together. Isn’t there some way we can save Morgan?
