THRILLER ...

Previously on SOAP SINS
- Dakota numbly turned off her phone. "We are all in great danger
and there is only one person who can help us ..."

The story now continues ...

- Madame Etelka the psychic had been summoned to soap star Dakota Diamonelle's house in the Hollywood Hills. That was why she was wearing a silk turban instead of the usual polyester one. Etelka was days away from having her acting debut on Dakota's sudser and felt lucky. That was why she was determined to crack the code of the mysterious music box that had been ominously left on the star's doorstep. Nick the husband and Brent the blond surfer dude waited with bated breath as Dakota handed it to the psychic, who examined it in her bony fingers for what felt like eternity. There was a full moon outside.
- Etelka sighed. "It is p ..."
- Brent the surfer dude's eyes widened. "Poison?"
- The psychic shook her head. "P ..."
- Nick the amnesiac prime time husband grinned. "Playboy!"
- Etelka shook her head again. "P ..."
- Dakota grimaced. "Paralyzing with fear?"
- "Pank?" the psychic said uncertainly.
- Nick poured himself another drink. "Panky, as in hanky panky?"
- Dakota snatched the scotch bottle from his hand and warned no more alcohol until his memory returned.
- Etelka put the music box back down on the expensive Italian glass table in front of the sofa. "Prank. This was only prank."
- "But the runes on the box," Dakota insisted.
- Etelka shrugged her shoulders and motioned for the hostess to fill her glass with another scotch. "They are decorative only. This was prank by someone wanting to spook you."
- They all agreed it had worked. Dakota admitted she had suspected Dragos but Etelka dismissed the notion with a wave of the hand."Dragos is good boy. There has been no vampirism in his family for over five generations." She paused while downing the scotch in her glass. "He is not active vampire."
- Dakota nodded and thanked her for coming but still had doubts. The doubts remained with her when she arrived at Chip the producer's office the next day for their meeting. Having just gotten back from a successful European trip, he was grinning from ear to ear. "Dragos and his family history are all over the entertainment news. I'm trying to decide which character his character gets to bite first on our illustrious soap, which
will soon be broadcast to ten countries in six different languages."
- Dakota demurely crossed her legs and pursed her red lips in thought. "Do you ever mix up fantasy with reality?"
- Chip proceeded to rummage through his desk drawers. "Welcome to
the wonderful world of being a co-executive producer. Damn, where are those tear inducing drops! I am gonna have to fire that lecherous director of ours and crying always makes it easier. They cry, I cry, I say I wish I didn't have to."
- Dakota smiled, pulled a small bottle from her Prada handbag, and handed it to him. "Don't leave home without it!" She spent the rest of
the day watching the scenes that were filmed at another restaurant with Dragos and the cast. He played the mysterious tall dark and handsome man from abroad to perfection and charmed them all. The director then got called to Chip's new office, where he was about to be fired. Dakota decided it was time to go home to her amnesiac husband. With any luck, he would start to remember her ... When she reached her car, a familiar man was waiting next to it. It was the Beverly Hills cop who had taken her statement about the dead limo driver, the one whose neck she had suspected Dragos of biting. "I called the station and they told me you don't even exist!" she exclaimed. "What is going on?"
- "We need to talk privately. Characters have been escaping into the real world and we need them to come back  ..." His voice trailed off and he held up an unusual badge - one which was covered in the same runes as her mysterious box. "I should know. You see, I am one of them!"
