| Thursday, February 18, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only GONE IN 60 SECONDS! - At DiMera mansion, Rafe hands Sami a glass of water, then steps out to call forensics. Elvis praises her for her bravery. She cries she is not brave, as Syd's dress had ... Elvis assures her it might not be her dress so why did Rafe even tell them! He believes they will find her and she will be reunited with her parents. Sami sobs that she believes it too. Elvis consoles her with an embrace. Rafe comes back. Sami wishes to stay at the mansion, since that is where Syd lives. She asks EJ to tell her stories about her. He recounts how musical she is, how much she loved a British nursery rhyme. Sami smiles and sniffles. Rafe gets a call from forensics. The gang stop talking and wait for the news. Tis indeed Sydney's blood. Sami begins to weep. Rafe says he is so sorry and sits next to Sami. Elvis pretends to hope there is nothing definitive. Rafe admits there might not be, due to the current of the river. He vows he will find whoever is responsible. Sami cries out she does not care and only wants her little girl. "I just want her alive!" Elvis sits in silence. He flashes back to telling Syd he wanted her to have stability and to live with both her parents. Sami now begs him to tell her he thinks she could be alive.She laments Sydney was nearby and the woman had demanded money. She turns to Rafe and cries she told him the woman would throw away her little girl if they did not give her the ransom she demanded. She cries out in exasperation, her face red from crying. Rafe has no response. She wonders how she will be able to tell the twins and Will and everyone. EJ gently suggests they do it together. Rafe excuses himself to make some calls. Sami promises EJ they will talk soon and departs with him. Once alone, he flashes back to telling Johnny to remember that he will soon be hearing terrible things about his sister, but they will not be true.That will be daddy and Johnny's secret! - At the cabin, Anna happily talks to Sydney about the nice place she will be going for her brand new life with her daddy. Elvis arrives, picks up his little sweetheart, and informs Anna the stage is finally set.Sydney and her brotha will soon have a stable life in which they can thrive. Sydney pouts. - At the hospital, Vivian and Carly disagree about what happened on the rooftop. Viv claims she and Melanie were having a nice discussion when Carly shot her. She is a murderess! Arrest her at once! Bo tells Madame to put a lid on it and refuses to arrest Carly. Mayor Abe, however, points out if he does not, then he must find someone who will. Carly cares not what happens to her. She just wants to help in OR. Phillip says no way! Meanwhile, Daniel works hard to revive Melanie. Out walks Dr. Lexie wearing a long face. "Oh God no!" laments Carly. Dr. Lexie updates them that Melanie coded and Dan is trying to revive her. It is in her favor that she is a fighter and strong. Carly wants to donate blood as they are both type AB. Phillip reluctantly agrees. Bo takes Carly off to a room to give blood. Vivian insists to Phillip she would not harm his wife. Phil tells her to leave him alone. Viv quips surely he will not take that lunatic woman's word over hers. Kate waltzes in and declares he certainly will! Diva Kate approaches her son and states Carly would not kill her daughter in cold blood. Viv disagrees. Phil stops them and reminds them they should only think about Melanie. Lucas steps up and reassures him. Viv approaches Vic, who quietly reminds her if Phillip loses his bride on his wedding day because she disobeyed him, Vivian's life as she knows it will be over! Vivian looks like a scaredy cat. A few feet away, Kate tells Phillip she is praying for both him and Mel, his special girl. He is her precious son. They embrace. Back in OR, Daniel has repaired the vessels and Mel lies quietly, hooked up to a machine. He implores her to fight. - At the pub, Sami complains to Rafe that her family is not around. She would like to stay there for a little while. Rafe saunters off to make his calls. Sami places a call of her own, to Lucas. She sadly summons him to the pub, as something terrible has happened! Lucas shows up and consoles her as Rafe works the phone. Sami asks how do they tell Ally? Lucas assures her they can figure it out tomorrow. He is there for her. He hugs her and wonders who Rafe is calling. FBI stuff, says Sami. It never ends. Rafe is heard telling his contact to have the river dragged. Sami cannot bear to hear any more and walks out. Lucas follows. - In a private room, as Carly gives blood, she fills in baffled Bo on what happened. He will put out an APB on Gus. She thinks Vivian has won regardless. Bo explains he can have forensics examine the comb. Carly informs him Victor switched it. That was why Vivian lured Mel to the rooftop to push her off. Carly got to the roof in time and admits she took the gun from Hope. Bo sighs. She exclaims she should never have come back to Salem! She blames herself for what happened, given how she knew there would be danger. Bo insists she did the right thing and gives her a pep talk. When Melanie wakes up and finds out what Carly has done for her, he believes she will be grateful and happy her mother is in Salem. Carly begs God to make sure she does wake up and cries on Bo's shoulder. - In the OR, Mel receives Carly's blood. Daniel is surprised to hear from Lexie that Carly is her mother. His eyes flicker. Time to take the patient off bypass. "Now, we wait," he tells his colleague. The tension in the air is thick. Dan looks at sleeping Mel and purses is lips in thought. - Bo and Carly return to the hospital waiting area. Victor growls she should be taken away, has she not done enough to cause Phillip grief! Carly wishes to stay until Mel is stabilized. Bo asks Abe if it is is possible. Abe is sorry and alludes to the fact he can have another officer do it if he would rather not. Bo takes Carly aside. Abe now has a stunned Vivian cuffed as well, for she is a suspect! The Mayor reads a shaken Viv her rights. She asks Victor to do something. The Greek tycoon is silent. Bo cuffs Carly and also reads her her rights. He is sorry. She understands. Exit the arrested pair and the accompanying cops. Kate gives Victor a suspicious look. She places her hands on her hips and strolls toward him. She wants an answer. Was the plan for Viv to push Mel off the roof? He airily offers her a coffee. Kate is miffed he let his wish for revenge on Carly bring Vivian back into their lives. He coolly mentions what she did to Chloe, hands her a hot coffee, and retorts he wants to be alone. She claims he is responsible for all this and reminds him if their son's heart is broken, then he is to blame for bringing that b*tch back into their lives! Phillip walks toward Victor and asks if it is true. And did he know Carly was Melanie's mother? Vic assures him Vivian acted alone. He had grown fond of Melanie. Phil points out he loathes Carly, however. Vic earnestly says he has been praying for Mel and Phil to have a long and happy life together. Phillip believes him and the father and son hug. Kate is clearly doubtful. Dr. Dan and Dr. Lexie emerge with news. The Salem patient's heart is beating, but she is weak from losing blood. Phil is permitted to see her for 5 minutes. - At the station, Bo stares down Vivian, who has chosen to exercise her right to remain silent. Bo accuses her of doing it all for revenge. "Blah blah blah blah blah," replies Madame. Bo warns when Hope wakes up, she will corroborate Carly's story, so she had better pray that Melanie survives. Viv gleefully replies she will pray. Bo soon gets word there is nothing on the comb and no evidence in the basement. He must tell Viv she is free to go. She stands up and taunts him. He suggests she not get too comfortable. She makes a snide remark about him letting the black widow into his life, and exits. In another room, Carly is confronted by a vision of madman Lawrence, who sarcastically applauds and praises her for her good aim! She wants him to go away. He leers the next time she wants to help someone she loves, she should turn the gun on herself! - Back at the hospital, Victor gets a call and tells Kate that Viv has been released for lack of evidence. Kate accuses him of protecting her, though what the hell for? She stole their son, then almost ruined his life! - Vivian approaches a lavish table with champagne, surrounded by flowers, and dramatically raises her eyes to the heavens. "Lawrence, my darling, I did this all for you. May you rest in peace." - Bo finally joins Carly in his office, apologizes for the delay, and removes her cuffs. He laments he must take her down to her cell. Carly sadly states if Melanie dies, she would rather get a death sentence than live. He repeats all she has done was to protect her daughter. When she recovers, things will be better for Mel, as she will finally know a mother's love. - Phil sits at the bedside of his unconscious bride, places the ring back on her finger, and promises they will soon have their first dance together. He knows she is too feisty to let anyone take that away from them. He kisses her hand. Meanwhile, Carly prays for her sweet little girl. - Back at the cabin, Anna is appalled to hear Elvis let everyone think the baby was dead. Elvis quips Samantha did the same thing to him with Grace. Anna disagrees. Poor Sami, to lose another child! Elvis warns the two children will be better off with him and so they are going to disappear together ... IN LOVING MEMORY OF FRANCES REID. |
