| Friday, February 19, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only SLEEPING BEAUTY! - Justin is at Hope's bedside. She whispers for Bo. She now comes to and groans her head hurts. Where is Bo? Justin knows not. She has been there since yesterday. Did Carly find Melanie? Where is Vivian? What happened? Justin sighs Melanie was shot - by Carly. He insists Hope remain in bed but she insists she wants to find Bo. She appears too weak to do that. Hope now talks about the comb and how Victor must have switched it. So Vivian really did plan to kill Melanie to avenge Lawrence's death, Justin concludes. Indeed. Hope vows she will not get away with it! She finds the strength to get up and get dressed. Afterwards, the friends continue to discuss. Justin tells her how Vivian feigned concern. Hope is determined that justice be done as the pair walk out together ... A lso at the hospital is Phillip, who has been by Mel's side all night. Enter Dr. Daniel. Phil begs him to promise she will wake up. Beep beep beep goes her machine as sleeping beauty sleeps on. They walk out into the hall. Dan points out she is stable. Exasperated Phil exclaims then why has she not woken up! Dan admits he does not know. Comas are complicated and they do not even know how much Melanie hears. What he needs is for Melanie to feel safe, so he should not let on in front of her how scared he is. Phil solemnly agrees. Dan suggests Maggie go in to see her. If she is surrounded by those she loves, then she will want to wake up. Maggie later enters the room, where Phil has just finished describing to Melanie what their honeymoon in Greece will be like. Maggie pats her and calls her a lucky girl. Once they are alone, she cries that her husband - and adds that sound so nice - loves her very much. Time to wake up and live her beautiful life! Beep beep beep. Dr. Dan pours himself a coffee. Chloe asks if everything is alright. He is down about Melanie, as he cannot deal with false hope. "I manufacture it," she says unhappily. Dan assures her she does not have to go thru what happened alone. "I think you need help." Chloe stares at him, but says nothing. Dan elaborates. It bothers him they she acts like she has done something wrong. She should not be blaming herself. The doc gets paged. Before leaving, he tenderly tells her Dr. White gave him the name of a therapist on staff she could talk to. He hands her the card and adds he took the liberty of making an appointment for her this afternoon. He kisses her and gets back to work. Chloe remarks it sounds like he has it all worked out for her! - Arianna and Brady wake up in each other's arms as sunlight streams thru the window. She feels badly because of Melanie. Brady is also sad but hopeful. Melanie does not give up. And she has to be alright! - At the hospital, Maggie eventually comes out of Mel's room. Brady has shown up and he would like to spend the next shift with Mel. He suggests Phil go home, shower, and rest, as he has been up all night. The redhead agrees. Phillip needs to take care of himself. The glum groom asks how Carly could have done this. He and Maggie console each other with an embrace. Brady goes inside and encourages Melanie to open her eyes. - Bo is at the station, on a call with Lexie about Hope. He will see her soon. Enter a cop with Carly, who wants to talk to her about Mel. She fears her baby is dead! Bo assures her she made it thru the night. Dr. Carly knows that is not good enough and gets upset. Bo tells her not to fall apart. He will make Vivian pay! Carly laments Vivian has won. Her daughter may be dying and she cannot even see her! In her cell, she could almost hear Lawrence laughing at her. Bo must step away to take care of something and encourages her to hold it together. Carly, however, blames herself. Bo soon returns, having paid her bail. His only request is that she not jump bail. Carly is anxious to go see Melanie. Bo states she cannot go anywhere near her daughter! Carly is distressed. Bo warns he must prove she did not wish to harm Melanie before she can go near her. His phone rings and he must take the call from an operative in Switzerland. The first thing he will do is prove that Vivian knew Mel was her daughter. He asks Carly to wait for him to come back so he can take her home. However, she has no intention of letting anyone keep her from her daughter and now slips out! Bo eventually returns, dismayed she has given him the slip. He leaves her a worried message. Enter Hope, who announces she knows everything. She wants to talk to Carly. Is she still in a holding cell? Pause. They discuss what happened and Bo is relieved to hear that Hope will corroborate what Carly said about Vivian. Carly is no longer there, though. Hope wonders who posted her expensive bail. "I did," admits Bo. Hope bitterly concludes he loves her. She unhappily repeats it is too late for them and departs ... - Nathan dreams of waking up in bed with Melanie and kissing her. He murmurs she is so pretty first thing in the morning and then wakes up for real when Stephanie gives him a kiss. She has brought them breakfast in bed. Was he dreaming about her? He kisses her but does not answer. - At the hospital, Phil saunters thru the hall near the door of his beloved. Unbeknownst to him, Carly lurks nearby,covering her face with a surgical mask! Elsewhere, Daniel and Maggie talk about the hard fight Mel has ahead of her. Maggie decides to let Nathan know and leaves a message for him to call her. It is important. Meanwhile, Nath and Steph are back in their room at the lodge, having just gotten back from snowboarding. He tells her she is pretty and they wind up in bed again. Steph glances at his phone and says he has a message. He is not interested in hearing it and they continue kissing. After their bedroom olympics, Nathan opts to take a shower. Stephanie quietly pulls the note out of her bag and reads Melanie's plea to him again. Melanie wrote ... if there is any chance he has feelings for her, she will not marry Phillip, and if she does not hear back from him, she will have her answer. A part of her will always love him ... Nath comes back, clad in a towel, and asks what Steph is holding. "A letter from Melanie." She gave it to her before the wedding. Nath has no desire to discuss Melanie and seems to assume the letter had nothing to do with him. He wants Steph to join him in the shower. When he goes back to the bathroom, Steph tears up the letter, despite having felt a little badly about it earlier. - Back at the hospital, Dan insists Phil go home, even if only for an hour or so. Phil reluctantly agrees and they walk away together. Carly waits until they have disappeared from view and makes her way to the door .... Inside Brady tells Melanie he loves her like a sister and wants her around, so wake up. He gives her a kiss and woefully exits the room, then takes out his phone and heads down the hall.Carly prepares to make her move, but Daniel is there is an instant. "Just what the hell do you think you're doing!" he breathes. He pulls her aside and warns she should not make Melanie go through the stress of seeing the very person who shot her! Carly insists she was protecting her. Dan insists she might not see it that way. He suggests Carly go home. She begs him to do it for Melanie, who needs to know she was loved and wanted by her mother! She swears she would never hurt her and senses she needs to be by her side. Melanie will hear her voice, she explains. Dan mutters he is probably going to regret this ... Carly tearfully thanks him and races to her daughter. - At the pub, Chloe calls and cancels her appointment. She will have to reschedule. She drops her phone. Arianna gets it for her, as she is on duty. She hopes the doctor's appointment was not serious. Chloe replies Daniel seems to think so! Ari thinks it might not be a bad idea to see a therapist. She must now get back to work. Chloe crumples the card and makes an annoyed comment about doing what she is told! - Justin drops by the house of Kiriakis, where Phil is about to head back to his bride. Justin bears news. Hope woke up and supported everything Carly said. Phillip is horrified to hear how Vivian had plotted to kill his beloved bride. And there is more. Victor knew. And Vivian only showed up at the wedding to finish the job. Phil asks him to leave, He then heads to the staircase and summons Viv downstairs as ominous music is heard. "We need to talk!" The handsome groom wants answers ... - At the hospital, Daniel leaves Carly in Mel's room and informs her she has 5 minutes. Carly takes her by the hand and speaks of how she loves her daughter, and implores her to come back. She wants to be the mother she deserves. She touches her face, whispers she loves her, and starts to leave. Melanie coughs and opens her eyes. Carly rushes back and gently caresses her face. "That's my girl," she says emotionally."That's my girl." Mel's blue eyes observe her uncertainly ... IN LOVING MEMORY OF FRANCES REID. |
