| Thursday, February 25, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only FATHER KNOWS BEST - Replay of Mel asking Carly just who her biological father is. Pause. Mel wonders if she even knows. Yes, she does. He is a good man and caring. Mel asks his name. Silence. Mel raises her voice. "What's his name!" Carly replies it is hard to explain. Mel assumes it is Bo. Negative. Then who? Carly admits she will need a little more time but Mel cries why, since she already gave her away when she was a baby, only to come back, shoot her, and withhold her father's identity from her. She cries and yells at Carly to go, to leave her alone! - In the hall, replay of Hope saying Bo loves Carly. She prods him to admit it. Phil watches. "Just say it," says Hope. She knows the reason he wants to help Carly is cos he loves her. "I do," says he.Carly has emerged from the Salem patient's room, wearing a long face. Phil walks away and drawls he is out of this. He returns to Mel, who cries she knows not who she is so he should not have married her! He gallantly reminds her that he loves everything about her. Enter Maggie with a smile, Mel sends Phil to the pub for an order of fries and a soda for her. He grins and departs. Medicated Mel cries to Maggie she does not even know who she is! The redhead reassures her. Melanie is trying to picture who Carly would have been with. "I want to know who my dad is!" It is hard to deal with this. Maggie understands. She has had trouble coping lately too and believes that one must deal with turmoil head on, but Mel does not need to do it all tonight. Mel remembers Vivian. What if Carly was right and she really does want her dead! She sobs she is not even sure her marriage to Phillip will work. Maggie wonders what she means. Mel slurs the medicine is strong. Maggie gets her to fall asleep and walks out to call Phillip. - Carly wants a word with Bo. She needs to talk to Mel's father before she shares the info with her. Bo advises her to be careful. Carly departs. Hope looks dismal. The cop arrives to stand guard at Mel's door. Bo leaves. He goes back to the station. Detective Hope follows. He puts out an APB on Augustin Pascal, aka Gus. Hope is back on the job and tells Bo she is his best shot at helping Carly. She is ready to help. Se updates him on the comb, what happened in the basement. Bo looks at her in admiration. She is a damn good cop, as she would never let someone take the fall for something they did not do. The commiss gets a call. He updates Hope they might get the goods on Viv after all and be able to help Carly. Is she ready? - At DiMera mansion, Mafiosos Stefano and Victor talk about how they divided up the streets of Salem. After the matter of a certain street is cleared up, the talk gets personal. Stefano has heard his daughter-in-law will survive. Victor is pleased about it. He notices the phoenix appears distracted. Stefano takes a deep breath. "My granddaughter died." The Greek tycoon is shocked and sorry. Who could be so heartless! When their meeting is concluded, Victor declares death to whoever did this. Stefano agrees. "Death." - Chez Sami, she wakes up, only to see Elvis staring at her, an upset look in his eye. Sami asks what he is doing there. By the time Rafe wakes up, he has slipped out of the room. Elvis looks at a picture of Sami and Rafe in the living room and smashes a vase. He is utterly devastated! When Sami emerges, dressed, he plays innocent and pretends he was there to get Johnny's things, then accidentally broke the vase while departing. He let himself in as he thought no one was home. He manages to slip in a comment about her life being her business when she assumes that he was surprised by who she was with. Unsuspecting Sami goes into the other room to fetch Johnny's things. Rafe has come out and cannot believe he just entered their home like that. Elvis coldly states he is Johnny's fatha and accuses Rafe of taking advantage of Samantha's vulnerabilities. Rafe stares him down. Why is he more concerned with him and Sami and not his daughter! His eyes are filled with suspicion. Elvis drawls it is late and he is in no mood for an argument. They can send him the bill for the vase, too. Sami appears with Johnny's things. Elvis says he is sorry and walks out. Rafe notes something is off with that guy. Sami thinks he is upset they are together and his daughter is dead. Rafe thinks it is more but does not press. Sami feels they should do something to remember Sydney - and they should include EJ. They also have to tell the twins, who need closure too. Rafe realizes she wants to talk openly. Sami sadly suggests a family gathering to include the kids as well as EJ, cos he is suffering. She gets teary eyed that Will is going to be home soon and she does not know how she will tell him. She and Rafe embrace. Enter Will. Rafe gives them their space. He will go see EJ and let him know of her plans. He assures Sami it will be fine, kisses her, and exits. - At the cabin, Anna holds a sad looking Sydney and she is not happy about her leaving either! Elvis storms in and she is surprised he is without Johnny. What happened. "Rafe happened!" says he and pours himself a good stiff drink. He yells about Samantha crawling back into bed with the man after he made it appear Sydney's death was all his fault. Anna points out Sami will never be alone. When needy, she looks for a guy to be her hero, so if he wants Rafe out of the picture, he must find her a different hero. Elvis considers. He takes Syd in his arms and murmurs "Your daddy's been doing this all wrong. It's so perfectly clear now ..." - At the pub, Chloe and Daniel eat. They talk Carly. Chloe is hard on Carly about giving up her child. Daniel feels this is really about Chloe's loss and offers to go to the therapy session with her. She says he cannot. He is paged and therefore cannot stay with her. She assures him she will be fine. He drawls he loves her and departs after a kiss.Chloe looks ready to break into tears. Phillip soon appears on the scene and asks why she looks so sad. Chloe confides in him she thought she was pregnant but was not and now she is lying to Daniel! Phillip thinks she should talk about this with Dan, that is the only way. She realizes he is right, as Daniel had the same loss as her. Maybe things will be good between them again and they will have honesty back in their relationship. - Madame Viv has summoned Gus to the pier. She is leaving tonight after she kills Melanie! There was a time she had fantasized about sailing off into the sunset with Victor, but alas, it would not be enough. Revenge is the only ticket. Her hands will end it tonight. Gus warns the cops could still catch her and offers to help. She smiles she must do it by herself, asks him to prepare for their departure, and slinks off into the night. She makes for the Kiriakis mansion, where she looks around, wonders what might have been, and puts on her gloves. Enter Victor, who perceives her gloves and asks if she is going somewhere. Madame airily says that she is going out for a walk. The Greek tycoon admits he knows their happy reunion was a sham, yet she is welcome in his home, there is no reason for her to leave. She replies there is. He assumes it is about Phillip and assures her that Phillip eventually forgives. He gets interrupted by a Japanese business call. Viv whispers goodbye and takes her leave. - Chez Sami, she finishes talking to Will about the family gathering. He, however, does not want to hear anymore. "My sister, she's not dead. I'm not going to accept that and you should not accept that either!" he exclaims. - Stefano opens his front door to Rafe. Elvis is not there. Stefano asks if he saw him recently. Yes. Was he grieving? Rafe replies no and realizes the phoenix has not seen him do much grieving either. Has his son been acting a bit off? Stefano claims he has nothing to say and shuts the door. - Dan meets Carly down at the pier. She really needs to talk to him. He wonders if something is wrong. Yes. She brings up Melanie. He wonders if she wants to go somewhere to talk. No. She needs to say it here and now! They sit on a bench. She thanks him for letting her see Melanie. It was a huge risk for him. She explains she had to protect two people from Lawrence's wrath all those years - daughter Melanie as well as her father. Lawrence would have killed her father had he known who he was. Dan asks if it is Bo. No. Can she tell him? She admits the man is part of her life, a great friend. She hopes he will understand. He is not sure what she means. "Daniel, it's you!" she blurts out. "You're Melanie's father!" - After she walks into the hospital hall, Maggie has a dizzy spell, so the policeman on duty helps her go get a glass of water. Seconds later, viper Vivi slithers in and enters Melanie's room. She picks up a pillow, and holds it over the sleeping patient's head .... Next on Days of Our Lives CARLY I couldn't tell you. DAN (angry) You couldn't! Well why in the hell doesn't that surprise me! Vivian looks down at Melanie. "Oh God. Oh God." "You want to make sure somebody gets punished, she's your target!" Victor snaps at Phillip. |
