He is busy with his iphone as she gushes about destroying Carly at long last. Gus is not interested. He makes a snide remark about playing second fiddle to her new Australian. Madame just wants him to be happy for her! She chides him for pouting and wants to celebrate. They make for the pub ... - At the hospital, Carly pretends to know not why Jen assumed she was interested in Dan. He praises Carly and she snaps not to lie. Dan thinks she should not be hard on herself. She snaps she is good at it. He tries to make her feel better, but she impatiently states she would rather not discuss herself. However, she is glad he is her friend. Dan too. He wants to go find Jen, to clear the air. Carly assures him she does not wish to come between them ... - Chad and Abigail sit with Jen at the Cheatin Heart. They just watched a love story about a girl who tried to play matchmaker for friends at a restaurant. Chad drawls it was stupid. Jen mutters he is probably right. Abigail sends Chad to get a couple of sodas, sensing Jen is upset. She notes her mother has been crying. Is it because of Daniel? Jen points out Carly has a drug problem. Abigail understands she is trying to help, but this is not what her friend needs. Jen insists on sticking to her plan, to prevent Carly from backsliding Abigail is curious about what Dr. Jonas thinks of all this. Jan has no answer. - At the police station, Hope gets off the phone. Nothing new to help the investigation. Bo approaches and points out it is over. Hope exclaims she cannot accept that EJ and Stefano will get away with what they did. Roman soon brings in a mugger and wants Hope to process him. The cocky perp mouths off. Hope grabs the guy, shoves him in a chair, and warns him to shutup or else! Bo and Roman stare. Roman suggests the mugger not make her mad. Bo asks Roman to take the perp down for processing. Roman does just that. Bo realizes Hope is under stress and he is concerned. What if the D.A. had witnessed that? She needs a break. He is telling her this as the commissioner. Hope walks out to clear her head. - Mel leaves EJ's hospital room after calling him a jerk. He falls back asleep, remembering her face after his attack. Outside, Tay is dismayed to hear from Lexie that EJ seems to have given up. The phoenix arrives and grumbles no wonder. He gave up the rights to his children tonight! All of a sudden, an alarm goes off and Lexie realizes it is from EJ's room! The gang race over. - Mel interrupts Dan and Carly's conversation. She thinks EJ is still stable and suggests they go for a family dinner. Carly is all for it. Dan grins. - In EJ's room, Lexie checks the machine and walks out. Stefano is worried. What just happened? He had an episode. Stefano is troubled. Lexie too. He is doing better. The phoenix wants to sit with him. Lexie will not allow it. Not until he stabilizes. She cannot believe he gave away his children. She sits down with papa Stefano to discuss. Tay takes the opportunity to sneak into EJ's room. He opens his eyes and gives her a woeful look. He had a dream about his attack a moment ago. Tay shuts the door. He wonders whether she is really here or if she too is a dream. She softly replies she is here and asks about his dream. There was a woman at the pier. Tay smiles perhaps she was his guardian angel. EJ murmurs she was too late. He wants to know why Taylor is there. She came to get a key from Lexie. She asks why he gave up his children now, after all he did in order to keep them. She knows how much he loves them. EJ quips him loving someone is not always the best for them. He is not best for Johnny and Sydney. However, fatha assumes he did it to impress Taylor. He wonders if she is impressed ... - Outside the pub, Viv peers through the window and spies Carly having fun at a table with Dan and Mel. She is miffed she appears to be happy! She quietly enters. Mel asks if Dan will be rescheduling with Jennifer. He uncomfortably admits there was a misunderstanding. Carly looks down. Enter Hope. She requests a word with Melanie. Mel steps away for a moment to oblige. Dan now has a question for Carly. Why would Jen tell him that Carly was interested if she is not? Might it have been an attempt to let him down gently? Carly pauses ... - Tay laments to EJ that she feels very sad and walks out of his room. He feels sad, too.
