Viv is elated Gus helped her email around a photo of DR. FEELGOOD, aka Carly. She credits one brilliant man for it all. Gus assumes she means him. Enter Quinn. Viv gushes the man of the hour has arrived! Gus jealously frowns. Quinn now learns from Madame Viv that Carly passed out from pills and the world knows about it. She cackles like a witch. Quinn drawls he pities the man who ever gets in her way. Viv suggests she should give him a sports car. How about dinner? She will have Gus make the reservations. She realizes Gus is no longer there, gleefully states she would love to see Carly right now, and greedily drinks more champagne ... - At Carly's place, Jen gives her a glass of water and a pep talk. No one else will know. All of a sudden, phones start to ring! Jen looks at the picture on her phone in horror. - At the hospital, Mel calls Dan, who was trying to call Carly. They have both seen the picture and could not reach Carly. Dan is en route to her place and will be in touch when he has more news. - At the Cheatin Heart, Taylor is sloshed and enjoying another mai tai cocktail. She updates Brady on EJ's life being empty now all because of her. Brady imitates his accent and states maybe he realized he was not worthy of his children. He believes the DiMera heir is still playing her. They keep drinking together. Tay slurs she knew what kind of man EJ was and stayed with him regardless. Brady concludes she must be drawn to men with a dark side. Tay flirts what if she is! They get close and kiss on the lips. Enter Nicole. "What the hell!" - Stefano enters EJ's hospital room with a crafty smile on his face. EJ flips through a magazine from his bed. The phoenix has an agenda. He announces the custody papers can be dismissed if they prove he has mental problems, so he must now go to a mental hospital to prove it. EJ, however, is not interested. He wishes his children to have a normal life and threatens to confess to the cops and put fatha behind bars if he has the custody reversed. The phoenix bitterly states no more chess games with little Giovanni and no more hugs from Sydney. EJ daclares he has something else to give him and it concerns his attacker ... - Shirtless Will, Gabi, Kinsey, and Sonny are having a picnic down at the beach. The egg salad sandwiches are bad. Sonny offers to get some food at the pub with Kinsey, who can tell him about her singing career plans. They happily walk off together. Gabi steps away to get their towels. T approaches Will and angrily accuses him of taking sides. - Dan bangs on the door of Carly's room. Jen answers and explains she has already seen the damning picture. Dan stares at Carly, who is still wrapped in a blanket, huddled on the bed. She does not look well. Dan briefly updates Mel on the phone, then sits by Carly. They wonder who took the picture. Carly wishes she were dead. Dan patiently asks for an explanation from the beginning. Jen admits she found her unconscious and handled it. Dan is not pleased she did not call the paramedics. He is further dismayed to hear the mention of rehab, as this was evidently not a one-time thing. He soon finds out she was also the one who stole the hospital drugs. - Down at the pier, Mel unhappily confirms to Dario that the photograph was real and her mother has a drug problem. He encourages her to go to her mother, but without him. He touches her face and promises to take care of her, as she takes care of her mother. They kiss and walk off together. - Carly comes clean and laments she was unable to stop. She has problems. Nicholas will not even speak to her. Dan points out she was doing great at the hospital. Carly finally admits this has to do with him too. Jen thinks she should take a walk. Carly wants her to stay. She explains to Dan that she lied to him. She started to have feelings for him when he was married to Chloe. He is sorry if he hurt her ... Enter Mel. She hugs her mother and promises they will look after her. Carly snaps she cannot stand being the center of their attention and storms out, into the bathroom. Mel is devastated. She learns that Carly is in love with her father ... Dan is now aware why Jen wanted to break up with him ... Mel decides Carly has been in the bathroom too long and opens the door. She is gone ...! Read Part 2 - click here! |
