"Will you marry me?" He hopes she will say yes. Tay looks ready to cry. "I can't. I just can't!" Thus, she feels her answer muet be no. EJ charmingly assures her they would be happy as they love each other. He wonders if she still loves him. Tay laments that would make this simple. Did he think about this? He grins he did give his proposal some thought. Tay explains the timing is wrong, given he is just out of the hospital, he is married to her sister, she just found out Rafe killed her mother, and his father is against them. EJ now realizes he was insensitive asking her now and loves her all the more for telling him so. He smiles and then hopes he did not ruin things between them, as he could not bear it. Tay touches his face and asks him to tell her what he thinks they really have ... - Stefano is on his way out of the mansion. Lexie stands in the doorway and confronts him about Taylor claiming Rafe killed her mother there. He reminds her that Fay did not die at the mansion. Lexie angrily points out she would not have died had she not been assaulted. Why did Rafe attack Fay and why was he at the house? Stefano replies he has not been himself, as he was in an accident and also lives with that Samantha. Lexie insists she has noticed the extra security around the house. She knows he must be worried and also wants to know where he was going to in such a hurry when she arrived. To talk Elvis out of the biggest mistake of his life! - At the warehouse, underground Rafe is on the phone with Commiss Bo and deputized Hope. The imposter is bound and gagged. Bo reminds Rafe they need him to proceed with the plan. He needs to continue to lie low. Hope gets on the speaker phone and explains the DiMeras could crack under the pressure. Bo warns he might ask him to do something dangerous. Rafe is ready for action ... - Quinn joins Viv at the pub. She suspects he wants to torture her with a charade of family life and doubts his sincerity. Quinn drawls he recently realized he knew not why she really came to Salem in the first place. He charmingly wants her to answer. She presumes he already checked her out. He states she married Victor Kiriakis and the marriage did not last, then she put Victor's girlfriend in a coffin. She is impressed he did his homework. Quinn cuts to the chase. He feels she came back for the same reason he did. Revenge. But hers was against Carly Manning ... - At the hospital, Dr. Carly uncomfortably looks at paperwork with Dr. Dan. She gets flustered and excuses herself, only to bump into Jen, who notices something is wrong. Carly claims to be busy and heads off to get her phone, which she left at home. Dan is glad to see Jen, for he has something to ask her. Is she busy this weekend? Jen is distracted. She hastily excuses herself and goes after Carly. Dan knows not she is following Carly and assumes she has another PR emergency. - At the pier, Mel sits on a bench with Abigail, who starts to complain about the complexity of Chad's DiMeraness. He seems to think Stefano is cool. Mel knows what she means, as her name was Kiriakis once upon a time. The gals start to joke about boys needing to be raised in labs with training. Mel senses something else is bothering Abigail. How does she feel about Mel's dad dating her mom? Things are getting kinda serious, after all. - Bo and Hope talk about the plan, still in his office. He has someone watching the mansion and assumes Stefano will want to keep control of the situation, so they can expect his involvement ... - Back at the mansion, Stefano shares with Lexie that he does not believe EJ should be with Tay. Lexie sighs at least he is honest.Stefano considers the women who have already been in his son's life. Samantha and Nicole are not upstanding examples of virtue and integrity. But Taylor is decent and moral, which makes her the most dangerous one of them all! She does not want EJ's life. Lexie argues maybe he will give it up for her. Stefano murmurs it is too late. Ominous music is heard. - Back at the park, EJ insists he and Tay must be together as they are in love. Tay points out he is presently ensnared with his family in that big house. He snaps is that was this is about? She is not sure, but first things should settle down. Then they can talk. EJ disagrees. He wants them to be impulsive and just get married. If not, perhaps they should call it a day ... - Jen shows up at Carly's place and Carly wonders why she is following her. Jen announces this is an intervention ...! Read Part 2 - click here! |
