She smiles it is nice to have the whole FAMILY together. Johnny and Aly are presumably playing nearby. Sami whips out a bag of chex mix snacks. They cheerfully chow down, though Sami spills red salad dressing on EJ. She suggests he take off his shirt and licks her fingers. He removes the shirt, and she tries to get the stain off with soda water, chuckling. He is amused. No success. Johnny toddles up to the pair. Shirtless EJ walks off with him to see his little friend. Sami admires the view. Gaby and Will approach. Sami is glad to see them, but upset to see Will's bruised face. He does not wish to discuss. Will looks dark upon hearing that EJ is with Johnny and Aly. Sami asks how Rafe and Ari are. Gaby admits Ari's life is in shambles. Rafe, however, will help. Sami is sure of that. Will praises Rafe for helping people and drawls unlike someone he knows, Arianna will be grateful ... - Shirtless Dan and Chloe are in bed, telling each other they are in love. Dan marvels they are having a baby. Chloe smiles it seems too good to be true. Dan the man gives his beloved a kiss and then talks dinner. He is making. She suggests he surprise her. Dan would like to stop by and see Mel first. They kiss again and he hops out of bed to take a shower. Chloe blinks and remembers Carly's threat. Carly has not told him. Is she playing games or did she change her mind? Chloe is later in a blue dress, ready for Dan's return. Knock knock! Tis Vivian. Chloe reluctantly allows her in. Vivian quips she was supposed to take care of Carly Manning. What the hell happened! Chloe recalls how she already confronted her at the hospital. Madame exclaims she botched it up, but Chloe retorts she is glad that she did! Viv calls her a coward and warns Carly will ruin her relationship with Daniel. She mentions the deal she had with Gregory the male nurse at the hospital. It dawns on Chloe that Vivian set her up to believe Dan was cheating. "You ruined my life!" she exclaims. Vivian giggles. Chloe accuses her of using her. Madame comes clean. She heard her complaining about Carly Manning and decided to use her. However, she turned out to be no more than an overbuilt wimp. Chloe warns she could have her arrested. Viv retorts she has her on speed dial and then some ... - In Maggie's kitchen, Mel has just closed the fridge when there is a knock at the door. Tis Carly and she is needy for support and ice cream. She brought the ice cream. Mel wonders what is up. Carly laments it is about Chloe. Mel is already away she is pregnant. What is the problem? Carly looks serious. She wonders if Mel is 100 percent sure that Chloe will not hurt her father. Mel thinks for a moment. "No." She thinks Chloe is the kind of person who cannot get enough love, just like she used to be before she married Phillip. She has all the love she needs now. She hopes that Daniel is the right guy for Chloe. If she hurts him, it will kill him. Daniel calls to tell Mel he will be over soon. She is elated. She wonders to Carly if they are overreacting. She wants to have a good relationship with Daniel, so perhaps they should just let go of their hesitation ... - Later, Chloe, orders Vivian to get out and throws open her door. There stands Carly, who seconds the motion. Vivian plays innocent and starts to leave. In the hall, Carly does the math. She realizes it must have been Viv who led Chloe to believe that she and Daniel were having an affair. Viv takes off. Carly follows. Inside, Chloe laments that she fell right into Vivian's evil trap and stares at a picture of Daniel. "Oh my God!" - Stefano meets up with Theo and Lexie down at the pier. Theo wanted to watch the boats. Stefano pulls out a model ship for his grandson, who says thank you. Stefano promises when he is older, he will teach him how to sail a real one. Lexie notes the boat cost a fortune. Along comes Abraham. He frowns upon seeing the phoenix. He then forces a smile and joins his wife and child. Stefano hopes he does mind him joining them. He tells Theo if they go out further, they will see the boats even closer. He now ushers Theo away. Lexie assures Abe she did not invite him. Abe sighs they are unable to keep him away from the boy. Lexie reminds Abe that Stefano knows he must not mess up if he wants any relationship with Theo ... - Back at the beach, EJ thanks Will for helping him clean up from the picnic and mentions the fight he was in. Does the other guy look worse than him? He grins and tells him to go join his mother. Gaby approaches, looking for something that Johnny and Aly could put bugs in. EJ hands her a jar. She thanks him for getting her sister out on bail and departs. Sami is back and sits down beside him. EJ informs her he meant what he said about giving her her independence. Sami whispers she likes having him nearby. Ring ring! Tis fatha, summoning him to the house promto. EJ must depart. Sami sighs and looks at him wistfully. "Are you sure you have to go?" He grins and asks why she wants him to stay. She talks of a family night. He murmurs there will be plenty of other times and excuses himself ... Later on, Sydney is sleepy so Gaby sings her a Spanish lullaby. Sami gets tear-eyed, as that is the song Rafe used to sing to Grace. Gaby did not mean to make her sad. Sami admits she does miss Rafe a great deal, but it is complicated. Gaby replies she knows he misses her too ... - In the DiMera living room, butler Harold walks by and Nicole conceals herself. Close call! She flashes back to Stefano informing her that EJ had evidence. Nicole blinks back to reality. She will not be leaving the house without it! She opens a drawer and finds a small recorder, which she opts to keep. Nicole then pauses before Stefano's portrait and vows to beat him and his rotten son! Upstairs, she continues to snoop around, pockets some cash, and is surprised to find the sonogram picture of her baby. She sits down on the grand bed, remembers happier times, and starts to cry. She eventually regains her composure, folds up the picture, and places it in her pocket. She continues with the search. No luck. Where else could he hide something? She opens the door and sneaks back into the hall. Moments later, she tiptoes past the busy butler. Enter Master Stefano, just seconds after Nicole has hidden behind a door in the living room. He pours himself a drink. "Hiding won't do you any good, my darling!" Nicole cringes. Stefano picks up the black queen of his chess set. "You did not think you could get away from me , did you!!" Nicole is relieved. EJ now enters. It better be important, says he. Stefano has news. His crazy ex-wife has given their man the slip! T-shirt clad EJ appears tense and gets himself a drink. Stefano points out Nicole must be desperate. EJ laments he does not have any evidence against her. Nicole stares in disbelief. Stefano reminds him that Nicole does not know that. Besides, why is he defending the sister of Rafael Hernandez? EJ explains he likes practicing law and it makes him feel good. The crafty phoenix alludes to the fact that it must als be making Samantha feel good, and that is what it is all about. Nicole looks peeved. EJ updates him that Samantha wants to be more independent. He just wants to be the right man for her. Stefano brings up the past.What if she finds out what he did? Nicole, still hidden behind the door, takes it all in and holds up her tiny recorder to get every word .... - Dan visits Mel, with an admission. He is happy about the new baby, but the child will not take her place in his heart. She thanks him. He wants them all to be a family. Mel shows him her pink big sister t-shirt. She will be the proudest big sister in Salem! She also has a prezzie for papa Dan. Tis a book in which he can write down all the first times with the baby. She starts to cry. Dan thanks her. He hopes the baby will be just like her. They embrace. - Chloe sits on the bed in her blues dress, lays her head on the pillow, and imagines herself and Dan discussing their new baby. They kiss.Chloe opens her pretty eyes and sighs. If this baby is not Dan's, they will never have that kind of happiness! - Outside, Carly stops Viv and gets her to admit she poisoned Chloe's mind against her ... but the girl fell short. Viv will not give specifics. Carly thinks she is the devil. Vivian purrs she will not stop until she destroys her and departs. Carly ponders what to do next ... - Back at the beach, Sami admits to Will she is thinking about Rafe. He suggests she call him. Sami cannot. They seemed to have been no more than a fantasy. There are certain things he cannot accept about her. Will realizes Rafe cannot deal with EJ being a part of her life. He apologizes for being so negative concerning EJ. The kids are crazy about him and perhaps he has changed after all. Exit Will. Sami considers. "Maybe he has ..." - Back at the mansion, EJ snaps at Stefano that if Samantha finds out the truth, he will lose everything! Stefano reminds him that Anna has been neutralized and she knows what would happen if she ever told anyone that EJ was the one who kidnapped Sydney. EJ regrets his actions. He wanted to make them all suffer. But that was then, this is now. He wants his family. Stefano promises him no one will know, as Anna is safely tucked away. Nicole stares at them, unseen, recording every word of EJ's most damning admission of guilt...! Next on Days of Our Lives "I know you and I know you're hiding something," Steph tells Phil. "You're here to destroy me," Chloe accuses Carly. Nicole and EJ face off. "I did what I had to do to protect myself and now look where we are!" says she. |
