Maggie wonders what is wrong. He cringes he is worried. Maggie starts to lecture him and he states he is indeed putting Hope first, sauntering out. - Back at the house, Jen is sorry she found the papers, which Hope is reading. Hope says it is okay. Jen says it is not okay. She had no idea they were getting a divorce! Neither did Hope! Jen is mad at Bo. Hope admits she did say she wanted a divorce months ago. She blames herself. Jen perceives she no longer wants the marriage to be ended, however. Can she do anything? Hope asks her to keep her silence about the papers. The only thing that matters now is gran. Jennifer agrees and adds she is glad she knows. She is there for Hope. They hug. Hope decides she wants to spend some time alone with gran. Once Jennifer is gone, she gets tears in her eyes. - At the house of Kiriakis, Brady barks at his hire on the phone to keep digging cos Ari is innocent! Enter Victor. Brady bitterly assumes he is there to gloat. In fact, he is there to offer his assistance. Brady becomes sarcastic. Vic points out he cut short his honeymoon and he has a gift. A new gold money clip for Brady. He is a Kiriakis and has family behind him. He need not face things alone. Brady wonders just what kind of help. Victor declares he will help him face facts. He should consider who Ari is, what she has done to him. Brady's face gets tense. He suggests he get back to his nightmare of a honeymoon and calls his world the Kiriakis house of greed. Victor insists he loves him and he has backup. They are family despite the conflict. Brady loves Arianna. Victor knows. But if he is dealing with something painful about someone he loves, he is there for him. He wants him to be happy and likes their talks. The two men hug. Brady appreciates it. - Baker is at the poker place, getting off the phone with a thug he owes money. Along comes a seedy player, eager to include Dick when he hands him a wad of cash. - Mel visits Arianna at her cell. Ari glumly updates her on her postponed arraignment, the fact that the cops think she did it. Mel assures her it must be a misunderstanding but Ari is scared. Mel makes her laugh when she speaks of the money she will get for the wrongful arrest. Ari then laments about the evidence, her lack of alibi. Mel suggests they were at the movies together, though Ari will not hear of her lying like that. Mel reminds her Brady is rich and he must be working to help her. Ari sighs she has more bad news. They are done. What happened? Nicole happened! She has been lurking around and then poof went her alibi. Then Gaby saw them hugging. Mel wants to know if she will let her win. She must fight, for Nicole will keep fighting and slip up! She also wants Ari to realize that Brady does love her. - EJ runs into hasty Nicole at the pier and grabs her by the arm. Why did she hightail it out of there? Nicole threatens to scream if he does not let go. He hopes she does, so the police will come and hear the conversation. Nicole claims she has nothing to say to him. EJ drawls he certainly has plenty to say to the likes of her. He and Ari agree on a lot of things. He talks set-up and calls her stupid for daring to venture to Salem after being released, only to mess with a friend of his. Now what should he do? He would not have cared if she stayed out of his sight. However, she did not and stuck her thumb in his eye. He will send her to prison and it would be stupid of her to even think she will get a pardon! She insists she did not mug anyone. He knows she set up Arianna because of Brady. Nicole accuses him of just wanting to pay her back for their past. She woefully recalls he used to love her and she loved him too. He denies it, as she was never real with him. Nicole remorsefully says she thinks he did love her and he was never as happy as he was with her and Sydney, which explains his current anger. EJ's eyes flicker. He steps forward and calls her delusional. She says he had it all and he blew it. He was happy with her. He growls that he was being lied to and insists he is happy now. She alludes to the fact that he is lying - to himself. She talks about Sami being at the mansion and claims his inviting her there was an act of desperation. EJ drawls she is desperate about Brady. He is like a puppy and reminds him of a sad soul from a 1990s boy band watching his life pass him by. Nicole gets mad and calls EJ an arrogant son of a bitch. EJ retorts she has proven his point. She has put her rival in jail, as she could not even win over a wimp like Brady Black. She curses him. He takes her face in his hands, gets close as if to kiss her, and murmurs they should do this more often. She should call him. Nicole steps back and accuses him of making up stories due to sheer jealousy. He grins this is classic Nicole - a good offense is the best defense. She thinks he is threatened by Brady. He informs her he knew all along she was connected to the muggings and then she threw Arianna into the mix. She smirks he cannot prove a thing. "All I have to do is remember who this guy is and you're toast," he warns. Nicole realizes he is right and appears anxious for a moment, then gets sarcastic. He points out he will eventually remember who the man was who set up his attack. And he will make him talk! He mentions hypnotists and smugly departs. Nicole looks very nervous! - Maggie is with Jen in her kitchen when Marie arrives at the door. They hug. The three women drink tea and discuss their past. Marie, who is Alice's daughter, asks if she still recognizes people. Maggie assures her she senses when they are there, though she does sleep a great deal. They remember Alice. Marie flashes back to when she was a sad young girl, admitting to a concerned Alice that she missed church services after her miscarriage. Alice had wisely said there are things one cannot understand. Marie has tears in her eyes as she comes back to the present and wonders how she will be able to say goodbye. Jen hopes Jack and the kids will be able to come, too. She will speak to them later. Maggie starts to say she has plenty of room, then mournfully remembers Mickey. They still have wonderful memories, even though a world without Mickey and Alice does not seem right. They get ready and Jen walks out to call Hope. Marie tells Maggie she had a wonderful mother for so many years. Maggie assures her she will get through this and they hug. Marie announces her brother Mickey was a smart man to marry the redhead! - Mel confronts Brady outside the pub for hugging Nicole and accepting Ari's breakup. He admits he still loves Ari. Mel continues. Does he not know what Nicole is doing! When Brady is later seated at the pub, he whips out his money clip to pay for his coffee. The seedy poker player happens by and remarks he has seen one just like that before! Brady wants to know where. He says it kinda slipped his mind. Brady stares him down ... - Nervous Nicole meets Baker at the poker place and she wants to know what they are going to do. They must prevent EJ from linking them and finding out the truth, but how? - Ari has been desperate to make a call from jail. Lawyer EJ arrives at her cell. Something has come up, says he. He is certain Nicole is working with the man who was present when he was attacked. He vows to remember and put Nicole back in prison ... - Hope drops by Alice's house. Julie is not there. Alone, she flashes back to when she was young, wondering about Bo, at a time when she found it hard to trust him and had doubts about marrying him. She wanted to be the only woman in his heart and was not sure she was. Alice had smiled she was stubborn and could be wrong. Back to the present ... The door opens. Enter Bo, who mutters he has been trying to track her down. She understands it was because of the papers. He is sorry about the timing and realizes it must be hard for her. Hope looks at him, her eyes filled with pain, and insists it is okay. He insists it is not. This is a very hard time for Hope and he is sorry. He is there for her. Hope bravely says she wants to be the strong woman Alice thinks she is. The pill bottle spills out of her purse. Bo is curious what they are. Sleeping pills. She will not need them now, though. They will be rotating shifts at Alice's bedside and she wants to be the best she can for her. Bo would like to help. He assures her she can call him anytime for anything. She starts to cry as she thanks him. Gran, she later explains, is now awake. Bo admits he would love to see Alice. Hope encourages him to go upstairs and see her, as he was always able to make her smile and laugh. Bo solemnly walks upstairs as Hope picks up a family photo with Alice. The house is silent ... Next on Days of Our Lives "I'm not going to cave in to your self-righteous blackmail!" Chloe informs Carly. Vivian tells herself that Chloe will pay for this! Sami faces EJ and softly asks if he still wants her. |
