Wednesday, June 16, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only DON'T ASK, DON'T TELL ...! - In her hospital room, Chloe must answer Daniel why Father Matt will not marry them. Everything has changed, says she. She pretends she said something to the priest that brought the validity of her annulment into question, so he would need to research it. Dan wonders what exactly she said to him. She would rather not get into it now. Disappointed Dan starts to lose his patience. What is the real problem? Something pertaining to religious law. He wants to know why she did not then demand a detailed explanation. Dan is miffed. Chloe starts to blame herself. He drawls they will find someone who can marry them! Or maybe he should call Father Matt. Chloe insists the priest will figure it out soon. Dan, however, does not want to keep his beautiful bride waiting. He had a patient who was a justice of the peace and decides he will call him. Chloe stops him. She claims she wishes to exchange vows in a church, before God. She would also like to wait for Father Matt and implores Dan to understand. He will. They hug on it. Tearful Chloe promises the obstacles will soon disappear and things will be perfect ... She hopes he understands. He is trying. Since today is not their wedding day, he should cancel some surprises. She will get some rest. He kisses her and walks out of the room, sighing ... - Chez Bo, he is on the phone with Hope, reminding her to get some rest. Enter Carly. Bo tells Hope he will come by and see Mrs. H later. The call ends. Carly now informs Bo she would like to join Bo and visit Alice as well. Pause. Carly now says she is sorry, she was being presumptuous about Hope's family, but she loves Bo so much. Bo sadly says Mrs. H knew his feelings better than he did and never judged, especially when it came to his feelings for Carly. The pair embrace. Carly announces she must get to the hospital to check on a patient ... Bo agrees to call her if he has news on Mrs. H. They will visit her together soon. Exit Carly. - In the pub, Victor approaches Maggie. He is very sorry to have heard about Alice. The redhead thanks him. He takes her hands in his and tells her if there is anything he can do ... Caroline walks by and takes a long look at the scene. She graciously gives Maggie her food on the house. Exit the redhead. The Greek tycoon would like a cup of coffee. Caroline snaps they are closed! Vic realizes she knows about his wedding to Viv. She gets sarcastic about his bride, who buries people alive and quips she should be grateful she was not invited, her eyes filled with anger. Victor reminds her she rejected him and broke his heart. Does she now have regrets about telling him Shawn was the only man she would ever love? No. Vic respects that and wishes she could respect his decision to marry Viv. He explains he did it to protect their son. How? Victor cannot say more except that is the reason he did it. Caroline calls him a fool. Victor woefully departs ... - Outside the pub, Madeline announces she must speak to Chad about the DiMera clan. He makes snide remarks, then admits he is not cool with her telling him who to hang out with. He complains the last few years have not been easy for him. Maddie can imagine how painful the loss of his child was. Chad agrees. He will never understand why Mia lied to him, that Grace was his, and he was her father. Maddie's eyes flicker. She momentarily walks off to take a call, then returns. Chad is waiting. He has second thoughts about having a meal with his parents, who for the most part do nothing but lecture him. He wants his mother to let him choose his own friends no matter who they happen to be related to. Will she at least consider it? - At DiMera mansion, Stefano is looking through papers. As soon as the forged papers have arrived, Kate can do her best Madeline impression and get the tape, which he intends to burn to a crrrrrisp! Kate is upset he is not interested she was on the phone with Lucas, who is also upset, as Grandma Alice is unwell. The phoenix sighs he already knows that. Kate berates him for not telling her. He explains if she had wanted to go see Alice, it might have been humiliating for her. She alienated these people and would be thrown out. The Hortons hate her. She exclaims she is not bothered by it and accuses him of treating her like a fragile little girl. "How dare you decide what's important to me!" she seethes and walks out. - Replay of Jennifer sweetly greeting her parents, Laura and Bill. Family hug! Later on, Bill and Laura sit in the living room and talk to Jen. Tired Hope is resting. Dr. Nath is with Alice. Jen and Laura go upstairs to see her. Ding dong! Bill opens the door to Kate. Their eyes lock. She says it is good to see him. Their son Lucas updated her on Alice. Bill has heard she is Mrs. Stefano DiMera and wants to know why. She does not think he has the right to ask her anything. He reminds her they share a son. She reminds him he left her with Lucas and went to parts unknown. He points out he did not know Lucas was his and notes she preferred it that way. She did. Bill ponders whether he and Kate would have ever been happy together. Kate sadly states they are past that, but she understands. Bill asks if she is proud of her life and the person she has become. Kate's eyes are filled with tears. Laura interrupts the moment and coolly greets Kate, standing possessively next to Bill. Kate asks if they are a couple again. No, says Bill, but they arrived at the same time. Laura hisses the gathering is family only. Kate just brought flowers for Alice. Bill makes Laura stop when she reacts rudely. Kate laments the world is a better place because of Alice and takes her leave. Laura wants to know what Bill and Kate were discussing. Jen overhears and she is not impressed that Kate showed her face. Bill points out all she did was deliver flowers. Alice would not have judged anyone. Laura cries that he is right. Perhaps they should do the same. - Kate heads home to the mansion, where she and Stefano kiss and make up, after the phoenix apologizes. He will find another way to take care of the tape, she need not impersonate Maddie. Kate asks if he would be OK if she backed out. He sighs he cares for her and wants to spend the rest of his life taking care of her. Kate admits people say she was crazy to marry him and some think she will come to her senses and leave him. But she has no more doubts . She is on his side and therefore wants to help neutralize Maddie. They are a team. They kiss on it. - Nicole is shocked to find Brady unconscious at the pier and even more shocked to find the flask of scotch nearby! "Brady, you didn't!" She holds his head in her hands as he opens his eyes and groggily asks where he is. She informs him he is on the pier in a drunken stupor, but why and what happened! Brady's head rolls as he struggles to understand. He slurs she looks pretty and wants to get up. She helps him up and their noses touch. Brady is ready to kiss her, then stops. He leans on her as she helps him home. A cop comes up behind them and wants to know if everything is alright. Nicole tries to cover for Brady but the cop perceives he is drunk. Nicole explains he accidentally drank while on medication. Brady drawls he has places to go, people to see. The cop stops him. Public intoxication is a misdemeanor. Brady takes a swing at him and falls down, out like a light, just as he cop is about to place him under arrest. Brady later ends up in a hospital bed, as nurse Maxine clucks about the dangers of binge drinking. Nicole still does not get it, as Brady is never like that. Maxine mentions a few more drinks, he could have been a goner. He was lucky. She exits as Bo enters. "What the hell happened!" Out in the hall, he demands an explanation of Nicole's role in the drama. He suspects she got him drunk. She denies it. Bo muses perhaps Arianna's arrest sent him over the edge. Nicole flashes back to telling Baker he had to set up Arianna Hernandez.She blinks back to reality and admits it is all her fault, as ... she should have been Arianna's alibi. She hopes Bo can make it all go away. Bo peers at her and remarks she does care about Brady. Nicole agrees, though she now realizes how much he loves Arianna ... - In his room, Baker gets off the phone with his bookie and thinks of what he did. Brady is gonna have a hell of a hangover, but with that drug he slipped him, he will not remember a thing ...! - At the hospital, Carly enters Chloe's room. "You bitch! You did this to me! This is all your fault!" accuses Chloe. She calls her a hypocrite and adds she did not tell Daniel, she merely postponed the wedding. Is Carly satisfied now?! No, this is not about her, insists Carly. Chloe admits a part of her wants to run away and forget how much she will hurt her fiance. Carly assures her Daniel is a good, forgiving man. She must trust in his love and do the right thing. Carly then exits and approaches Bo in the hall, after he has left Victor a message about Brady She hugs him. Back in the patient's room, Dan rejoins Chloe, who promises she does want to spend her life with him. She just needs patience. He agrees ... - Elsewhere, guilt ridden Nicole stares at drugged Brady, who stirs in his bed and wonders what happened. She woefully decides he deserves to know and she is going to tell him everything ...! Next on Days of Our Lives Spiffy EJ faces Arianna. "I'm afraid I have some bad news." "You're making the worst mistake of your life!" Julie warns Hope. Nicole confronts Baker, who is in his bed. "I know what you did and I could kill you for it!" |
