Bo explains their options are limited. Sami yells she does not want her husband to get killed. Bo and Hope reason that people are already starting to notice Rafe is different, so their only option is to provoke the DiMeras to come after him when they have some control. Sami wonders how long he will have to lie low. Months, years ...? Rafe steps forward and gently explains this is his job. Sami pouts she does not want him to play the superhero. Hope informs her they are waiting for her full support before they act. "Count me in," sighs Sami. Rafe kisses her on the cheek. - Stefano is at the hospital on the phone with his man Marco, wanting to know what the police informant shared about the attack on his son. He is pleased to hear that there is the possibility of a witness. The phoenix now enters EJ's room and asks how he feels. Better physically, but something else is troubling him. Taylor was arrested for assaulting Hope Brady. Before he could help, Carly injected him with a sedative. And there is more! It has come to his attention that the other Rafe is responsible for Fay Walker's death. Stefano is flabbergasted. "What?!" He agrees it is indeed a tragedy. EJ solemnly states they were responsible and Tay has a right to know. Stefano pauses. Tell Taylor the trrrrruth? He gets sarcastic and suggests they turn themselves in. It must be that hit on the head he got making his son lose his common sense. He cannot and will not tell her the truth! EJ does not want to allow the woman he loves to be ruined by their lies. He insists she will forgive him. The phoenix wonders if they are giving him angel dust at the hospital. Besides, the doctors said Fay died of natural causes. EJ points out there was no autopsy and Rafe 2 all but admitted he did it. Their imposter went rogue! Stefano growls that is why he needs to be eliminated. He implores his son not to say something today that he will regret tomorrow ... - At the Cheatin Heart, Mel and Dario stop kissing. He defiantly boasts to Brady of the alibi Mel gave him. Brady folds his arms and is not pleased Mel's reputation was put on the line for a lowlife punk. Dario quips if he thinks he is bad news, he should take a look in the mirror! He should be grateful they covered for him again, but they will not keep risking their necks for him cos he is not worth it! - Vivian joins Quinn at the purple club. She wants to offer him an olive branch. She has decided to accept his invitation to be his mother, to support and nurture him. Quinn retorts he only offered to prove his value to her. Viv doesn't miss a beat and instructs him to meet her at Chez Rouge for dinner! Exit Viv. The old businessman john shows up and asks Quinn for another girl. He has big bucks he is willing to pay and he wants a woman who realizes she should be exclusive with him for the night, unlike that unmemorable, two-timing Lola! - Sonny is dining with parents Adrienne and Justin at Chez Rouge. He gives them a remarriage gift. For mother a rock from far away which he had set in gold. Adrienne gushes. Justin now receives his gift and thanks him. Tis an unusual watch from a Sherpa in Tibet. They all exchange I love yous. Justin spies Chloe entering and thanks her for coming. He has a surprise. The child services woman emerges and hands her Parker. Chloe coos to her angel, all smiles. She meets Sonny, and is impressed about his Mount Everest climbing. He charmingly praises her and Chloe smiles if only all guys were like him. Sonny gets quiet. - Jen runs into Dan at the hospital. He is surprised to see her back. She claims she forgot something. Dan is glad to see her and embraces her. Carly looks tense, then excuses herself. Jen seriously asks Dan if she was interrupting anything. He notes she is upset. She does not deny it and pulls out a baggie containing white powder. Dr. Dan stares. "What in the world ...?" - Tay sits alone on a bench at the pier and sighs she misses her mother. Especially now! She ventures to the hospital and soon enters EJ's room. Stefano is still there. EJ asks for some privacy. Exit Stefano. Tay sits on the bed and EJ is relieved to hear she is fine. He wants to hear all about what happened. She explains she told the police she knows who must have attacked him. Rafe Hernandez! Stefano listens outside the door and shakes his head in dismay. Tay calls Rafe a homicidal maniac. This is like a nightmare. The cop killed her mother, then attacked EJ in the most vicious way. Why would he want both of them dead? EJ murmurs he is sorry. Tay replies he has nothing to be sorry about. He laments but he does. Outside the room, Viv rushes up to offer Stefano her condolences about EJ's attack. The phoenix is annoyed and barks at her to get out of his sight! He accuses her of using his son's misfortune as a chance to get close to him and rages at her to go away! Meanwhile, EJ reasons that Tay's mother was killed in his house so he is responsible. Tay insists he is not. EJ stops short of confessing. - At the loft, Rafe gets an unexpected call from the phoenix. He has another assignment for him and it pays well. He instructs him to meet him at the pier at 6 pm ... - Rafe gets off the phone and informs Bo, Hope, and Sami that it seems Stefano is already taking the bait ... Read Part 2 - click here! |
