| Tuesday, March 23, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only LUCKY CHANCES! - Chez Maggie, Mel has just woken up and wonders who the young woman standing in their kitchen is. Phil enlightens her. This is Sophie, hired to take care of Maggie and Mel when he is not around. Mel shows nurse Sophie the door. After all, the whole point was not to make Maggie feel she needed looking after. Enter the redhead, who wonders what is going on. Phil drawls he made a mistake. Mel thinks the intentions were good. He acted out of love. He kisses her, tells Maggie good day, and heads off to work. Maggie perceives Mel and Phil are doing great. No second thoughts about Nathan? Mel replies Phil is the best and she loves him. She is not comfortable talking about Nath. Maggie, however, wants her to be honest. "Do you still have feelings for Nathan?" she asks. Mel sighs. She stammers she is new at this marriage thing, then confesses she does sometimes think about him. Maggie understands. But she cannot have both if her marriage is to work. Mel agrees. And she does not want to be like her mother. Maggie suggests she let Carly worry about Carly. Just talk to Nathan to sort things out. - Steph arrives at the hospital and notes Nath is upset with her cos she did not show him Mel's letter. He informs her he will talk to Mel about it later. Steph wishes he would not, as he could get hurt. Nath points out it was not her right to withhold that letter. She claims she only wanted to prevent people from being hurt, including herself. He told her he cared for her when they went away together. And she now feels badly as he seems so obsessed with Melanie and that letter! He retorts they will never know what he would have done now. She gets teary-eyed and hopes he will forgive her, that they will be able to move past this. He announces they need a break and walks away. - Chez Maggie, Mel is later about to call Nath when he enters the kitchen. Their eyes lock. She gives him the book he came to pick up. He assumes she is there to visit Maggie. Mel updates him that she and Phillip have moved in. She did not wish to live where she was shot. Nathan is certain Maggie is glad for the company. He now has something to ask her about. "That letter you wrote, the one that I never got, what did it say?" Mel is baffled. Steph said he did not want to read it. He calls that a lie told by Steph and repeats - what did the letter say? He admits he wanted to get away from town fast with Steph, yet then could not stop thinking about her. He gets closer. Mel stops him from continuing and says she will tell him what it said. - Phil runs into Steph at the pier and she learns Phil and Mel are living with Maggie now. Steph hopes they are happy. Phil senses something is wrong. "Nathan dumped me for your wife!"says she. Phil looks surprised. Has that bast*rd been daydreaming about his wife! No, but Steph did not give Nath the letter that Mel wrote on her wedding day. Nathan has not forgiven her, Phil asks what was in the note, Steph pretends she does not know and advises Phil to keep an eye on Nathan, as she is certain he still has a thing for Melanie! Phil gets distracted by a business call and then assures Stephanie that Melanie loves him. Nathan is but the past .... - At the police station, Hope is hard at work and is approached by a grinning Justin holding a coffee for her. He is there to do paperwork for client Carly's case. All charges dismissed. Hope is glad for her. Justin wonders if she is ready to move on. Hope is grateful for his friendship and reminds him there will never be anything between them. Justin looks disappointed. She thanks him for the coffee, hugs him he is the best, and gets back to work. Hope heads for the pub, where she meets Maggie for lunch. They talk Mel and Maggie laments why can love not be simple! - Justin is back at the house of Kiriakis, where he has a visitor. She turns and and smiles. "Hi." Their eyes meet. "Adrienne," he whispers. She explains Hope summoned her as he is in trouble. Justin informs her he is not in trouble, but Hope must want them to reconcile! She wonders if he concurs. Enter Hope, surprised to see her so soon. Adrienne is miffed Hope misled her into flying halfway across the world so she could make a fool of herself. Justin also wishes Hope had not done this. - The governor wakes up cuffed to the bed as Anna gleefully snaps his picture! He demands to know what has happened. She tells him they had a wild night and shows him some photos on her camera. She brings up his wife. He wants the damn camera. Anna smiles she could always email the photos to his wife. He implores her to remove the cuffs. Only when he agrees to do that favor she asked! He calls it blackmail. Anna insists he do what she wants before she unlocks the cuffs. He refuses to pardon the kidnapper. Anna points out she has photos of their past fling, too! They will all go to the media, with these new pics, and this is an election year. He will be all over the internet! - Rafe arrives to see Nicole in her cell. She decidedly declares there is something he needs to know - about Sydney! First she wants to know how she is. Rafe informs her she has no place in Syd's life and never will! He is mad, assuming she called him just to get close to her. Nicole exclaims there is something he needs to know about what happened to Sydney and that is why she called! Rafe is impatient and gets sarcastic when she says she has information about the woman with the boots. He accuses her of playing games and stands up, He is not in! Nicole stops him from leaving. She is glad Sydney is well and is over with the fantasy of her belonging to her. Things did not work out for her. Raging Rafe accuses her of being self-absorbed. He shouts has she never thought of what Sami went through! And he knows the kidnapper is still out there somewhere. Nicole thinks of Anna and announces it is high time the woman who stole Sydney get what she deserves! Jail time, just like her. Rafe hopes the kidnapper will be brought to justice, whoever she is. Nicole now drops a bomb. "You'll find her today, cos I'm going to tell you who she is!" He doubts it. She states she recently recognized the voice as belonging to someone at the mansion. She is about to say her name when Lois the guard enters and hands her the phone, The warden wants to talk to her! The governor is on the line (as Anna holds the phone to him in the bed to which he is cuffed!) He announces that Nicole's punishment was too harsh. Therefore, he is granting her a full pardon immediately. She will be released today. She should thank her friend and not ever give him cause to regret this decision. Nicole thanks him and starts to laugh she has been pardoned, celebrating and dancing with Lois. Rafe growls why would the governor pardon her! - Anna has uncuffed the governor and made the necessary trade. He wonders what happened to her. She explains people change. He gives her a hug and wonders if they could use those toys again. Anna smiles. "Oh what the heck!" and they start to smooch. - Back at the slammer, Lois offers her congrats as Rafe probes. Nicole happily says the gov pardoned her. Rafe still wants the name of the kidnapper. Nicole now lies she is sure it was Kate. Rafe reminds her Kate has an alibi. He remarks her pardon seems to have come out of the blue. Nicole airily calls it luck. He mutters he does not believe that luck had anything to do with it and saunters out. Nicole says her goodbyes to Lois and gets a call from Anna, who is on a plane headed out of Salem. Anna warns her she taped all their convos in case she ever tries to turn her in. Nicole assures her she is on her way out the door anyway They part on good terms. Nicole has just one more favor to ask of Lois. She uses her phone to try and reach Mr. Black, but he is on business down in Santa Domingo. Nicole wants a hotel name and pretends to be a secretary with the Dept of Homeland security. The receptionist believes her and gives her the hotel name where Mr. Black can be reached. La Playa Blanca. Nicole is now ready to get Brady alone, so they can start their whole new future together ...! - The governor has an unexpected visitor at his hotel room. Tis a very somber FBI Rafe and he gets straight to the point. "Why did you pardon Nicole DiMera ...?!" Next on Days of Our Lives Anna smiles on her flight. "No more Nicole. No one can touch me now!" Rafe faces the governor. "I'll give you one chance to tell me the real reason why Nicole DiMera was set free!" Nicole makes eyes at Brady. "Will you give me another chance?" |
