Sami reads the twins a a story in the other room, unseen. EJ asks Rafe if it is wise he is there. FBI Rafe drawls he is in fact there to see him. To discuss one Anna DiMera! Elvis looks tense. Rafe brings up the fact that her late husband Tony did not want to be connected to the DiMera clan. Anna did not seem to be the kind of person who would fake a baby's death. EJ smoothly replies Tony's death affected her, which might explain why she would do such a thing on her own. Rafe's response is simple but stunning. "Anna wasn't acting on her own." Elvis' eyes narrow. Anna had a cohort? Rafe drawls she must have had a flunky. A shame Sydney is not older, for she could have told them everything! Elvis agrees it is indeed a shame. Rafe stares at him with his dark, accusing eyes. He remarks Anna was nervous when she came by to see Sami, the mother of the baby she kidnapped. Matter of fact, she was standing right where EJ is standing now. EJ states she called him so they should check his phone records. Rafe retorts he already has, so not to worry. They are gonna get Anna, as well as this mystery person she was working with! - At DiMera mansion, Kate reminds Stefano to take his pills. He sighs about Nicole being out of prison. Kate makes him feel better. Will soon arrives and lets Kate know he is grounded, plus he is returning her bribe. The phoenix realizes the lad is being punished for letting him spend time with Sydney. That is not right. Will thinks it was not right that the pair of them played him! He adds perhaps Sami does not want them around because of how they live their lives. He refuses to be a poker chip for them or anyone else! Kate assures him she gives him gifts out of love. Young Will laments Sami was mad and so was EJ, who called him a "bloody little bastard." Stefano is not impressed. He had no right to speak to him like that and he will make sure he does not do it again! Stefano will remind Elvis he is NOT his father! Once Kate and Will are alone, she asks what else is bothering him. He laments Mia cheated on him. As a result, he dumped her. Kate reassures him that he will find the right girl, though he clearly has little faith in true love anymore. - In paradise, replay of Brady asking Arianna if she wants to marry him. Nicole watches sadly. Ari says she loves and wants to marry him. Nicole interrupts and quips she does not have a prayer! Brady tells Nicole he understands she is tense but if she interferes in this conversation, "I will knock you on your butt!" He takes Ari aside. She recalls her hesitation in wanting to marry him at first. She now admits it made her confident about her relationship with him that Nicole was in prison. Yet now she is free and making moves! What will she do to the rest of their lives? And if he cannot answer that, then she does not wish to wed him today! Brady murmurs he never thought he could be this happy, since he met her, She feels the same way. However, she does not want to have Nicole in her marriage. He claims he can be her hubby and Nicole's pal. She doubts it and gets upset. He explains Nicole will only interfere with their lives if they let her. Ari wants to know what he would do if Nicole called him one day with another crisis. He assures her he would hang up the phone. She is pleased with his response and agrees to get married. Nicole is ready to cry and sits at the bar. The happy couple kiss and make up, then head off to find the justice of the peace. Nicole tells the bartender to keep the drinks coming. Along comes the justice of the peace, complaining the couple he was to marry is nowhere to be found. Nicole takes his arm and flashes a smile. If he has time on his hands, perhaps they can find a way to fill the empty hours ...She takes him to a table and starts to flirt, Enter Fay, who puts an end to the almost date. "Nicole, what the hell do you think you're doing!" Turns out Nicole had asked mama Fay to wire her money, but she brought it in person. Fay and Nicole now talk and Fay is worried. What will godfather Stefano do once he finds out she got out of jail? Nicole assures her she will be on the bottom of the list of Stefano's enemies. Fay realizes she knows who took baby Sydney and that must be who got her released! The justice of the peace is confused. Mama Fay lectures her for blowing her new freedom by making moves on the clown. The justice of the peace scurries off, to find the couple he must marry. When Fay finds out he is to officiate at BRADY'S wedding, she is even more concerned. Nicole insists she would be happy now if she had not lost him. Brady and Arianna reappear. Brady makes the introductions. Nicole is relieved to hear they are still not man and wife. The garden was soaked. However, they are now going to get married on the beach and happily flounce off. Fay warns Nicole not to delude herself, since look where it got her last time, with EJ! Nicole insists Brady still cares for her. Fay says she deserves a man who wants her. Nicole sighs she was wrong cos Brady was always there for her. Had she not gotten pregnant with EJ's baby, everything would be different. Fay suggests if she really loves him, she will let Brady go. It is not too late for her to have a happy life without Brady. Nicole quietly cries maybe she will start that new life. Fay is moved she got through to her and sympathizes about desiring a man she cannot have. But she must grab her second chance and live. Nicole feebly agrees. - Arianna and Brady are soon in her room and she unhappily spies the broken pearls. The island girl who helped her get ready had said it was a bad omen. He disagrees. Ari starts to list their bad luck, from the broken pearls to Nicole showing up to the flooded garden. Perhaps they should wait. And she has been in this dress all day. He helps her off with the dress and grins that they are supposed to be married by now. They kiss passionately. After the impromptu lovefest, they cuddle in bed.The phone rings. The car is downstairs. Ari goes to take a shower. She was crazy to think Nicole could come between them. Once alone, Brady considers and quietly says. "Yeah, crazy." But does he really mean it ...? - At Java Cafe, working boy Chad approaches working girl Mia, who claims she broke up with Will cos Chad is the one she wants! They kiss. Along comes Gaby, who orders a coffee and suggests they stop pawing each other! Mia says no need to get nasty. Chad turns back to work. Gaby wonders what she ever did to them. Mia reminds her she gave Will her necklace.Gaby claims she stopped her from jerking around two guys. And Will dropped her but she still has Chad so what is her problem! Chad turns around. Mia sneakily pours a bunch of salt in the coffee and gives it to Gaby, who storms off. Chad is upset that Mia had lied to him about dumping Will and snaps now she has no guys, cos he is out! Mia asks him not to walk away. They had a baby together. Chad laments she never told him and maybe Grace would be there if she had taken better care of herself. All she cares about is herself. He adds that is all she has now and walks off. - At DiMera mansion, as Will leaves, Elvis arrives. So does FBI Rafe, who suspects Stefano knows something. He wants to discuss Anna's involvement in the kidnapping of Sydney and assumes EJ went there to forewarn the phoenix. Stefano asks Elvis what the hell he is talking about. FBI Rafe watches with interest the scene unfolding before him. Elvis pretends to suspect Stefano was calling the shots for Anna. Enter Kate, who asks what is going on. Stefano sighs Agent Hernandez claims Anna kidnapped Sydney and Elvis thinks he has information on whoever helped her. The phoenix demands to know just what kind of information he is supposed to have. Rafe wonders if he really has no idea. Stefano glares at him and reminds him Sydney is his grandchild. His grief was no act. "I have no idea what Anna was up to," he declares. "I swear on it, on Elvis's life!" Rafe informs Stefano he believes him. Elvis asks who might have been working with Anna, in that case. Rafe replies he will head down to Santo Domingo, to have a chat with Nicole about what Anna said to her. Elvis is suddenly quiet. Ring ring! Rafe steps away to take the call. Stefano turns to his son. "What in the world gave you the idea that I would kidnap Sydney!" Elvis drawls he knows not what to think anymore. Kate takes Stefano into the other room for a word. Rafe soon returns and tells EJ it looks like he will not be going to Santo Domingo now ...! - Ari and Brady waltz into the bar, where the justice of the peace now nervously tells them there has been a shocking turn of events. Ari yells what has that Nicole done now! - Meanwhile, Anna has just gotten comfortable at a room in paradise, where a handsome employee welcomes the new American, who coyly says she wanted to get away from everyone she knows. - Back at DiMera mansion, Stefano sighs to Kate he did not think it possible for Anna to do such a shocking thing. "Makes you wonder if maybe someone didn't talk her into it," suggests Kate. Pause. Stefano's eyes become dark and stormy. Ominous music is heard ...! Next on Days of Our Lives "I messed up. I messed up big time!" admits Hope. "You can't forgive her," says Mel to papa Dan. "She doesn't want you in her life so stay out of it!" Phil advises Carly. |
