The justice of the peace updates them that there is a hurricane headed straight for Santo Domingo! The wedding is off! Ari panics. The justice of the peace takes off and suggests they do the same. Brady goes to see about getting them a flight off the island. Nicole is still enjoying her drink. She waves at Arianna. "Tough break." Ari just knows she must be thrilled about this! She marches off to the room to pack. Brady returns and Nicole perceives he has something on his mind. He does not deny it. Matter of fact, he is sorry. She thinks he should not be sorry for being in love and calls her earlier hopes foolish. Brady stops her from walking away. He advises her to rethink it very carefully if she is planning to return to Salem. A look of concern on his face, he warns there is nothing for her there. She should go somewhere else and start afresh. She insists she has friends, like him and Chloe. He reminds her he is embarking on a new life with Arianna. Fay rushes in and tells Nicole they must leave this place now, or face the collision course of the horrific hurricane! Brady departs to check on Ari. Nicole informs Fay she will leave when Brady does. She can feel he still loves her. Fay is against her chasing that dream. But Nicole will not back down. If she does not believe that Brady loves her, she should ask him herself! In the hotel room, Ari the almost bride frowns at the pearls and sounds glum when Gaby calls. She laments it seemed that fate had other ideas despite her plan to get married. Brady soon enters and reassures her with a kiss.He then goes downstairs to get the boarding passes, which are at the front desk. Ari now decides that the fates were wrong. It was a wake up call so she will protect what is hers - Brady! Downstairs, Brady bumps into mama Fay, who would like to know if he has feelings for her daughter. His eyes flicker. He is concerned about her and just wants her to be happy.Nervous Ari shows up and the pair depart. Nicole joins Fay and wonders what Brady said. Fay admits she could see in his eyes that he has those old feelings for Nicole, though he is marrying another woman. What is she going to do? Go back to Salem and then ... - Brady and Ari are seated on the plane and she is optimistic. It is good they were not married, for now she will have time to plan things properly. Along comes smiling passenger Nicole, who suggests they buckle up for the bumpy ride! She sits in front of them and thinks to herself that she is never giving up on Brady! - At Java Cafe, Auntie Adrienne is elated to see Stephanie. She came to town to see Uncle Justin and laments it was a disaster! Steph wonders if there is a chance for her and Justin. No, it is over ... - At the house of Kiriakis, Justin is miffed to see Hope, who is sorry she interfered. He demands to know what she told his ex. Hope admits she said he thinks he loves her though he really does not, he really still cares for Adrienne. Justin gets loud and mad and storms off. Enter glam Julie, who wonders why Justin was so peeved. Hope confesses she messed up big time and fills her in. Julie laughs what on earth possessed her to summon Adrienne halfway around the world, only to have her hear Justin say he loved another woman! Hope sighs she feels like a fool. She lied to Adrienne to get her there. "A lame decision compounded with deception," sagely says Julie. She now expresses her belief that Hope may have been wanting them to reconcile, for then that might mean there is hope for her and Bo! They sit and talk. Julie asks if Bo knows she still secretly wants to be with him. Hope complains it is not that simple. Julie mentions Carly. Hope does not want to discuss the other woman. She is just sorry for the mess she made with pal Adrienne. Julie suggests she finds her and let her know she must fight for the man she loves. Hope smiles in agreement. - At Java Cafe, when Steph sees Justin, she makes herself scarce. He approaches Adrienne and apologizes for what happened. She puts on a brave face and says at least she realizes she missed Salem. He asks why it took Hope to bring her back. She admits that she was concerned about the father of her children. Justin is paged to a meeting and wonders if he will see her again before she leaves. She is uncertain of her plans. He tells her to take care and exits. Outside, he pauses at the window to watch her. Later, Hope shows up at the cafe and proceeds to tell Adrienne how sorry she is. Adrienne has heard enough and decides to move to another table. Hope begs for a minute of her time. She points out Justin and Adrienne have a history and children. Adrienne thinks she really just has Bo on her mind, and wants to be left alone already! Hope follows her, regardless. She should try with Justin. Adrienne does not believe she can make him fall out of love with her! Hope alludes to the fact that heis still thinking of her. And she is sorry if she hurt her. - Outside, Mel and papa Dan meet up. The doc does not approve of her waiting outside, given that she is still recovering from surgery. They have arranged to meet for coffee. Chloe comes around the corner and watches as Dan tells her to be careful of the ice. Inside the Brady pub, Mel orders pie. Enter Chloe, surprised the pair were meeting up. Dan explains it was impromptu. Chloe is invited to stay, but explains she is just there to pick up coffee on her way to Doc Gilbert. Mel cutely remarks his beloved is so pretty! And she must be smart, too. Dan proudly agrees. He now gives Mel a gift - a locket belonging to his mother, with her picture inside. Mel giggles when he claims she looks like her around the eyes. He is so glad to have a daughter, Mel gets teary eyed and gives papa Dan a hug. Chloe glances at them and walks out. Dan thinks Mel's grandmother would have adored her. Mel would love to hear about her. Dan reminds her she has other family, as well - Carly. He understands she may have done what she did because the Alamains were dangerous. Mel does not want him to refer to her as her mom. She robbed him of Dan as her dad and for that, she cannot forgive her. Thanks to Carly, she was raised by a monster. - Phil is waiting for Carly at her office and tersely says they are going to have a talk! She has work to do. He insists. His wife loathes her and does not want her in her life. Therefore, she must stay away! Carly refuses. Phil drawls then they have a problem. It is his job to protect her now. Carly gets annoyed and refuses to give up her daughter. She walks out. So does Phil, only to run into Chloe in the hospital hall. She quips she has a shrink appointment. They discuss her deceiving Daniel about it earlier. She has her appointment now and owes it to Daniel to try. Phil thinks she owes it to herself. She has a lot going on in her life. She assures him she has no problem with her fertility issues. He feels she has much to discuss regardless. She has a new family. When the topic of Melanie comes up, Chloe assures him she has no problem with her. What about her mother? Chloe states Daniel is angry at Carly. Phil points out Carly will be sticking around and if she cannot get to Melanie directly, she will depend on Dan to help. Chloe is dismayed. Phil reassures her there is no competition cos Dan loves her! Chloe feels better and vows not to let that trashy woman ingratiate herself in her man's life ... - Back at the pub, Dan repeats the danger of Lawrence Alamain. Carly must have done what she felt she had to. Mel wishes he would not say Carly's name again. Speak of the devil! Enter Carly. Dan looks so Mel turns around and suggests she sit elsewhere. Carly stops at the table. She realizes Mel considers her someone who caused her pain, yet she has experienced pain as well, all those years they were apart. Mel declares she will not forgive her. Carly calmly says she will never give up trying. Dan sits quietly. Mel looks overwhelmed.She lashes out with rudeness. - Down at the pier, Justin runs into Hope, who insists they must speak. He accuses her of playing the victim. She insists she was trying to help. Justin gets mad about her sending for his wife after rejecting him. He got the message loud and clear, no problem. "You want me out of your life, I am gone!" She reminds him that she has always been honest about her feelings and she was simply trying to help. He blasts her for going behind his back and making a fool of him. Friends do not do that. He storms off. - At the pub, Kinsey is working with Gaby, who got her a job waitressing. Kinsey is shocked to see that doctor who shot her own daughter and they are together! Gaby's shift is done and she hopes Kinsey will be able to manage things ...Moments later, Mel gets mad at Carly when she says she is tough cos like mother like daughter. She yells at her to stay out of her and Dan's life. Carly cannot do that. Her only parent is Daniel, says Mel. "You don't exist!" She races out in a huff. Papa Dan goes after her and slips on the ice. He falls back and loses consciousness, blood trickling from his head ...! Mel cries to unconscious Daniel. |
