| Wednesday, March 3, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only A FEW GOOD MEN - At the cabin. EJ sits in a rocking chair and observes Samantha in her grief - from the computer. Will she keep her word? He smugly spies on her. Enter Rafe, who asks what she said, after she has stated she cannot believe Sydney is alive! Elvis mutters she should be careful. "Big brotha is watching you!" Meanwhile, Sami admits to Rafe that something has happened. She says only that EJ sent her a video of Sydney. Rafe wants to see. Elvis watches angrily from his computer. "Don't you dare!" he warns from his front row seat. Sami suggests Rafe not put himself thru more grief. He thinks her eyes were full of light and hope. She explains she was just remembering her. Rafe glumly turns away. Sami emotionally turns him around and announces she must tell him something. Embittered EJ snaps at her not to blow it, though no one hears or sees him. Before she can spill the beans, he hastily places a call to Samantha. He advises her to stay calm and lies he has just made the ransom drop. He realizes it is hard to keep secrets from Rafe, yet they cannot have a repeat of what happened last time. Sami agrees. Elvis now asks her to venture to the mansion to see him, as he is upset and could certainly use the company. Sami pauses. Rafe watches. EJ is persistent. And she must be strong for Sydney's sake! Sami gets off the phone, lies to Rafe that she must take Johnny to EJ early, and departs. Rafe looks at the monitor. Elvis turns his off and happily tells Sydney his mother did as she was told. He will have to leave for a little while, but will soon be back. He calls for Anna... Back at Sami's, now alone, Rafe doubts she was talking about Johnny with EJ and approaches the computer. "Let's see what's going on here." He sits down with the laptop to have a look at the video. Ring ring! "Hernandez. Good work. I'll be right there." Exit Rafe. - At the lodge, Steph and Nathan pack. He shows her a picture of her and praises her skiing ability, He tells her this is the best trip he ever had and kisses her. She is preoccupied about the note she never gave him. He wonders what is wrong. She declares she has to talk to him about Melanie. He would rather not. Steph is concerned he still cares for her, given how he refuses to talk about her. He points out she is married now. Melanie is his past, but Stephanie is his future. He proves it to her with a passionate kiss ... Afterwards, they chat in bed together, the mood light. He wishes they could stay there! She suggests they stay another night. Nath checks his phone, perturbed he has 12 messages from Maggie. He tries unsuccessfully to reach her. Steph and nervous Nath head home. - Carly walks down the stairs at the pier and leaves a message for Daniel on her phone, encouraging him to tell Melanie he is her biological father. She sighs.She does not think Mel will ever warm up to her. - Phillip and Chloe run into each other at the pub. He invites her to sit down. She suggests he eat his sandwich. He calls her maternal. He asks about Daniel. She is grateful that Phillip spoke to her about speaking to Daniel. She now knows he too is going thru the same thing as her. Phil soon gets a call and refuses to help. T'was the secretary of the hospital board. They are considering disciplinary action against Daniel for him allowing Carly to see Mel when there was a restraining order out against Carly. Phillip will do what he can in Dan's favor. Now he is off to get back to Melanie. Chloe starts to leave just as Carly enters. - At the hospital, smiling Mel wakes up to smiling Dan. He takes a seat and takes her pulse. They chat. She asks if he is ready to give her bad news, cos he looked sooo serious just when she woke up. He has nothing to report and adds her recovery was simply remarkable. She makes a snide remark about Carly just getting started and he quietly agrees. She wants to know why his vibe is so serious. Cos he is a doctor. She giggles lucky her, cos she would not be around if it were not for him! Dan gets a serious look on his face again. Mel is baffled. Dan the man suddenly starts to cry and pretends he has something in his eye. Mel remarks he is in a weird mood. Does it have to do with Carly, who seems to ruin other people's lives? Dan claims he is tired. Mel presses. Enter dashing Phillip, happy to see his bride. He kisses her on the forehead, then would like a word with Dan. Outside the room, Phil warns him about the hospital board's plans. "I have your back," he promises, and gets back to Melanie. Phil gets in the bed and cuddles Mel. He wants her to imagine the beach in Greece. She cannot, due to the shooting. She keeps thinking about Carly, how she has a father out there somewhere, but that woman will not tell her his identity. She suspects that means he must be worse than Trent! Phil is more optimistic. Maybe he is a great guy, and like her. Mel giggles, imagining mother's day with Carly, Viv, Kate. Truth is, she only needs Phil and Maggie. Phil points out Daniel cares about her, too. Mel thinks it must be because she helped save Chloe's life when she was in that coma. A new nurse enters, to check up on her. Phil kisses her and takes his leave. The nurse calls her lucky for having such a rich, drop dead gorgeous hubby. Mel asks about Dr. Nathan. Has he asked about her? The nurse does not seem to know him. Mel wonders why he has not come to visit her ... - Back at the pub, Carly says she has been trying to reach Dan. Chloe is miffed and snaps at Carly that she knows everything! Carly is confused. "Daniel told you?" As it turns out, Chloe is referring to the hospital board, though Carly wrongly assumes she means she knows Daniel is a father. Chloe thinks his life will be destroyed. And did she not think how this would affect him! Carly replies she is sure they can get through it. She alludes to the fact that there is a higher power and he already knew her, saved her life. She feels he already sensed Melanie was his daughter, on some level, before she told him! Chloe stares in disbelief. "Oh my God!" She sits down in shock. Oops! Carly thought she knew. What she knew was the disciplinary action he was facing, that was all. Chloe assumes it is a con. She will never believe that Daniel is Melanie's father. Never. Along comes Daniel, having overheard. "You told her?" Carly explains the mix-up. Daniel wants to know who else she told. Bo. Dan is not impressed, tells her to get the hell out of there, and keep her mouth shut! Exit Carly. Dan sits with Chloe, who quietly says "Your dream came true. You're a father now." He admits he is overwhelmed, furious at Carly, and was waiting for the right time to tell Chloe. She gets teary-eyed and asks if he loved Carly. No, it was not serious. She cries it is serious now. She recalls how nice Melanie was and good at her job at the hospital. Her having two doctor parents explains it. Daniel insists this will not change things. She wistfully disagrees. Everything has changed, as he is a father now. - Down at the pier, Carly runs into Rafe. How is Sami holding up? Rafe sighs she is a mess, and something is going on. He is not sure of much of anything anymore ... - Sami joins EJ at the mansion. He lies he made the drop off but he saw nothing. He acts dismal and warns her not to involve Rafe.Does she think he suspects something? She admits she does. He exclaims she must have blown it! She insists she did not. He rages if they do not see their daughta again, it is because of that man! - At Java Cafe, Steph and Nath get coffee. He must now head to the hospital and departs, Stephanie looks uneasy. She is soon surprised to see Phillip. What is he doing in town? - Nath arrives at the hospital, only to find out Mrs. Phillip Kiriakis is in for a gun shot wound. He runs inside the room and stares at Mel, who stares right back. - At DiMera mansion, Sami nervously awaits word from the kidnappers. EJ pretends to wait as well. She laments it is difficult to do this alone. He kisses her head, puts his arm around her, and assures her she is not alone. She agrees to be strong for Sydney. He tells her he will help her. Sami thanks him for all he has done. It is nice to once more see the guy she has always known was inside of him! His eyes flicker ... Next on Days of Our Lives "There's only one person who can take care of Vivian and that's me!" Carly informs Bo. Mad Daniel walks towards cowering Vivian and warns her to listen to him! Dr. Nath looks down at patient Mel. "I think you still care about me." |
