She boasts she has friends in low places and is on her way to an underground poker game - a game at which she excels. No, this time she is not taking that pushy little Arianna! She gets off the phone and muses Ari might think she has Brady all to herself, but think again! - Brady is in his hospital room, putting his shirt on. Enter Ari, who knows he plans to go after the attacker. He does not want her to fight him on it. She decides she will join him. He looks dismayed and states he does not want her to risk her life. She wonders who he is playing the hero for - her or Nicole! At the Kiriakis mansion, Ari continues to yell at Brady about Nicole, how she showed up at the house earlier. And her blouse was also unbuttoned later! Brady wonders when she will believe him. Ari admits Nicole sets her up time and time again. Brady assures her he loves her. Ari wants him to tell her yet again that he has no feelings left for Nicole. He decides to stay in for the night. And tonight he will concentrate on her. They kiss on it. - At the hospital, Mel repeats it is about Stephanie. Nath is not interested in hearing her concerns. He already assumes he knows what she will say. He had assumed she wished to discuss that it bothers her to see him and Steph together, then makes a joke about his ego. Meddling Mel suggests he slow down with Steph, which surprises Nath. Mel expresses her view that Steph wants to rush into things. Enter Steph. She wonders what they are talking about. "You," says Nath. Steph asks Mel if she told him. Mel shakes her head. Steph finds out Mel only said she did not want Nath to get hurt. Mel gives Steph a strange look and says she does not think Nathan is as serious as she is. Steph and Nath point out that is something they and they alone will discuss. Steph must get back to records. Once they are alone again, Dr. Nath courteously thanks Mel for the unsolicited advice, then suggests in the future she keep it to herself. He neither wants nor needs it! Nath and Steph later head for a bench outside, where he tells her he is crazy about her and wants to spend all his time with her. But he still has training, with a few years ahead of him. Therefore, they need to take things slow. Steph pretends to agree. - Victor helps flailing Maggie to a chair. She assures him she is fine and asks him not to call 911. She does not wish to advertise her condition and admits she forgot to take her medicine. Victor checks that she can indeed stand, walk, then ushers her out to his car.He is taking her to the hospital. - At the police station. Hope diligently underlines Brady's name on the case board and thanks Abe for the extra patrols. They will get both the attackers. A man and a woman and she suspects the woman is the leader. Hope clearly feels on top of her game. She shows Abe the Celtic symbol and hopes the woman attacker will not take her game any further. Hope later gets a call from Maggie, who is at the hospital. She explains she will be unable to babysit Ciara tonight. Abe would help, but Theo has chicken pox. Hope does not want to leave her daughter alone with the nanny at the mansion. Abe points out the case will not be ending tonight. Hope realizes he is right. She should assign someone else to the case for now. - On the remote island, replay of sloshed Anna saying it seems like Calliope is grilling her. Calliope denies the charge. Anna slurs on, accusing her of having followed her. "What is your angle?" Rafe stares nervously at the monitor. Anna wonders who put her up to it - Roman? Or is she selling her story to the tabloids? Calliope denies it. Anna declares their conversation is over! Calliope promises she would never sell her out to the tabloids. Anna points out that friends share stories. She hiccups.What about Calliope's life? Calliope claims it is too boring. Anna asks when she started working for the cops. Calliope gulps, then exclaims she is not with the cops. Anna wants answers. Unless she comes clean, she is gone! Calliope tells her she is right, it is no coincidence she is there. Back at his computer, Rafe is tense. Calliope says the reason she is there is ... fate! They are both a mess. In fact, Eug did not go deep sea fishing. She lies he left her for a belly dancer. Hence her reason for running away. She was happy to see Anna but now will leave her alone. Anna stops her. She is sorry Eugene did that and says they must have another round. Calliope states she misses the Anna who never doubted her. Anna gets emotional. Part of her died with Tony. The old Anna will never come back. Calliope presses her to continue to unburden herself. Anna drawls that she did not kidnap Sydney on her own. She is relieved to have someone who cares to listen, then appears to pass out. "Anna, wake up!" urges Calliope. - At DiMera mansion, replay of the almost kiss between Sami and EJ. Enter WIll, who stops in his tracks and stares at the loving scene. "What is going on here?" he demands, raising his voice even more. "What are you doing, mom!" Sami sighs uncomfortably. She was helping EJ with his sore shoulder. Will doesn't buy it. Just why did she move in - cos of the kids or him! EJ suggests Will speak to his motha with respect. Sami asks for a moment alone to talk to him. "Of course," says Elvis and exits. Sami faces Will. She can explain - but the teen does not want to be lied to yet again. Did she ever really love Rafe or did she just need a guy around, no matter who! And does she have feelings for EJ? Sami flashes back to the pier kiss and replies maybe she does. EJ is the reason they got Sydney back and he has forgiven her for deceiving him. She is grateful to him. Is she in love with him? No, she is not in love with him. Will doubts it, since she is overreacting. "You are lying!" he cries. Sami is hurt. So is Will. She laments that when he decided to move out, it broke her heart, but she followed him to the mansion with the other kids. She will never give up on him. She is only here for him. Will now assumes Rafe is never coming back, then asks her to try and remember that "EJ is not the answer!" Exit Will. Sami closes her eyes. In the grand foyer, Stefano notes Elvis is down. He tells him of the drama with Will. The phoenix drawls he will handle the young man, leave it to him ... - Baker is at a poker game, where he can stay but not play, cos not even the watch he wants to pawn is worth much. Charlie says he is broke. The mugger doc plans to stay for a little while, in case his partner shows up. That would change his luck! - Nicole is soon led into the seedy premises where underground poker games are held. Her alias is D. Wilson from Seattle. She is taken in to meet the players and proceeds to win big. Charlie still owes her two hundred. He offers her the gold money clip. She immediately recognizes it as belonging to Brady. She follows Charlie outside and asks where the money clip came from. He is not cooperative. She warns that it is in fact stolen property, which means he aided in a felony. She whips out her camera and threatens to expose him. Charles nervously recognizes her as the roving reporter and insists he won it from a guy in a game. Nicole vows she will expose him for involvement in a felony as well as running an illegal gambling operation - unless he helps her find that guy he won it from. Soon afterwards, drinking Baker gets a call and he is delighted to hear his pal will front him the money to get back in the game. He is on his way! - At the house of Kiriakis, Hope puts Ciara to sleep with a story. She now pops some pills , turns off the light, wishes her daughter sweet dreams, and lays her head on the pillow. - At the hospital, Mel visits Maggie in her room and wonders why she did not call. Maggie praises Victor. She does not know what she would have done if he had not been there. Mel makes a strange face. When she and Maggie are alone, the redhead notes something is wrong, Mel says she could have said something to Nath that would have made him drop Steph, but she did not. Maggie praises her for taking the high road and requests that she do the same with Victor. He loves his family, which Mel is now part of. Victor thinks highly of her. Mel admits he has been nice lately. Maggie would like her to give the Greek tycoon a chance.Mel later makes nice with Victor and says sometimes he is so sweet, like how he helped Maggie tonight. He jokes he likes to confuse people. Mel laughs and tells him she is okay with it if he wants to go sit with Maggie. He does just that and thanks the redhead for putting in a good word for him. - Sami and EJ soon meet up in the living room again. She wishes him goodnight. He murmurs she cannot avoid him foreva and smiles. He reminds her Will almost walked in on something and Rafe is not coming back. Sami insists they only have kids together, there is nothing more between them, and walks out, slamming the living room door behind herself. Elvis is still smiling, his eyes shining. "Yes, there is!" he thinks aloud. - Back at the pier bench, Nath starts to make out with Steph and drawls about taking it to her place. Ring ring! The young doctor is summoned to the hospital. He will meet her at her place in an hour. As soon as she is alone, Steph concludes he is ready, into her, and just needs a little push, so she tosses her birth control pills into the river! - Back on the island, Rafe informs Calliope that when Anna wakes up, she will have a hangover and will therefore be vulnerable. He wants her to return to her room and prepare to keep working her. Calliope laments her friend will never forgive her. He warns the IRS will never forgive her. Calliope decides to do what is best for her husband and proceed. Rafe still wants the name of the kidnapping mastermind ... - Baker excitedly opens the door to the poker game, anticipating Charlie and the regulars. "I feel ..." He stops in his tracks when he sees the player who awaits him - none other than Nicole DiMera, who is just as shocked to see him! Next on Days of Our Lives "Damn it, that bitch is poisoning him against me!" says Chloe, as Madame Viv listens. Down at the pier, Hope tells Carly "I don't hate your guts anymore." "You're going down, Dickie - tonight!" threatens Nicole. |
