She smiles coyly and explains it is only cos she is a tad dehydrated. They kiss. The pair proceed to play pool. Steph is a pool shark! - Mel enters the kitchen at Maggie's, excited Phil is making her dinner. He notes she looks unhappy. She admits she has Chloe and Dan on her mind as their relationship seems to be in turmoil. Chloe is at times unstable. Phil wonders what she is getting at. Meddling Mel concludes Chloe is not right for her dad. Phil probes. She calls Chloe a drama queen - and she is not sure that is what she wants for her dad. She adds Chloe does not have the best track record. Phil considers. He likes Daniel. However, he is not exactly the most moral guy either. Mel decides they should not let this disagreement come between them. He agrees. They agree to disagree and hug. Phil appears concerned. - Chloe and Dan return home from an hour of therapy. She is tired and wishes to go to sleep. He wants to talk. She claims the session made her feel worse. She flashes back to her passion with Phil. Dan wonders how to make her feel better. How to fix this? She sadly says he cannot. He had believed they were making progress. She states the therapy was helpful in some ways, though it was not enough. And she does not wish to return, as she sensed the therapist thought she was crazy. Dan assures her she is a beautiful, smart woman and does not realize how lovely and lovable she is. Insecure Chloe cries she does not. Dan had not realized how much pain she was in, that she was hiding something. She admits she was and she is and she fears when he finds out what she has done, she will never forgive him. He assures her this is not about blame, but about understanding each other. He begs her to look at him, She does, her blue eyes filled with tears. Dan wants her to listen. All she has to do when she feels insecure is talk to him. Together the will get through it all. He promises. She cries. They embrace. The pair later sit together and he breathes he is there for her. She knows. They cuddle. When things start to get hot and heavy, Chloe flashes back to being with Phillip. She pushes Dan away. "Stop," she gasps. Dan the man is baffled. What exactly is the problem? She asks him to just hold her. He, however, would first like her to tell him what the hell is going on ... - Replay of Brady opening his door to Nicole, her telling of Ari hanging up on her, angry and upset, Brady admitting their argument, his attempt to call Ari. He decides he will also go see her. Nicole prevents him from leaving by faking a knee injury. She claims she got the injury in prison and it acts up on occasion. Brady is concerned. She offers to go see Ari with him. - Roman falls from his attack with a thud. Ari is sitting up in bed. "What was that?" Outside, Hope crouches down and instructs Baker she will do the rest. He reaches for the bag of evidence in his pocket, then fishes out the flashlight. - Carly walks along and leaves a message for Hope, that a package has arrived for Ciara at the house. She continues walking ... - Hope notices Dick crouching down near victim Roman and demands to know what he is doing.Why the gloves? Dick replies he merely wants to find the wallet. Hope puts the telltale stamp of girl power on unconscious Roman's wrist. Time to take off. Dick drops the flashlight ... In the park, they go over the spoils. Roman only had sixty bucks. Disappointed Dick announces from now on, he is calling the shots! Hope informs him she has her reasons for choosing certain targets and agrees to give him all the cash from now on. He wonders who is next. Red lipstick Hope smiles. - In the pub, Ari comes downstairs and runs into Caroline, who notes she is out of breath. Where has she been? Moments later, Carly comes upon Roman and immediately calls for help, as the commander has been attacked! Along come Brady and Nicole, shocked to see Roman lying unconscious. Upset Caroline and Ari soon emerge. Nicole quietly curses, worried that Arianna has an alibi. The paramedics show up with the cops and Abe. Carly says she saw a small brunette leaving the scene of the crime. Nicole soon realizes that Ari does not have an alibi for the exact time of the crime. So far so good! Abe gives Caroline and Carly a lift to the hospital. The cops find the small flashlight that was dropped by Baker. Brady wants a word with Ari alone. He is sorry they fought. She is sorry they fought too and admits she is insecure about Nicole, whom he vows is his past. They appear back on track and head off together. The gang trickle into the hospital. Nicole tells Caroline she is sorry for her loss. Carline snaps her son is not dead. However, she wants to clear the air. What she did to Sami was evil, but she would appreciate her doing an expose on these horrible muggings. Nicole will see what she can do. She steps away to call Baker, who is now alone, and calls him an idiot for targeting Roman Brady. He retorts he did not choose the target. She gets confirmation from him that the DNA evidence was left at the scene. "Excellent!" Things seem to be going her way ... - Meanwhile, Baker counts his cash and decides when he has enough, he is leaving town! - As Nath teases Steph that she is a shrewd player, Mel and Phil arrive at the Cheatin Heart. Mel sarcastically agrees about Steph being a player. Phil and Nath walk off to buy rounds. Steph reminds Nath no beer for her, just ginger ale. Mel taunts Steph she must be avoiding alcohol for the baby. Steph retorts there is no baby. At the bar, Nath apologizes to Phil for how he has been around his wife lately. Phil ponders. Meanwhile, Steph wants Mel to keep her mouth shut. She has a proposition. How about they stay out of each others' lives? Mel agrees. She steps out for some air and runs into Nath later on. He perceives that something is the matter. Mel has been thinking about Chloe and her dad and she does not think she is the right woman for him. Nath seconds the motion! Mel asks why he thinks that too. She deduces he must know something. Inside, Phil drinks up. Steph sees he is in a mood. She thinks he is acting guilty. He makes a snide remark about her annoying him. She wonders what he did. Phil gives her a look. Nothing. Steph persists. - Back at the hospital, Carly updates Caroline that Roman will be fine. Caroline goes off to call the family, though she feels Bo has too much on his plate to be told just yet. Roving reporter Nicole asks about the status of the commander. Carly will not comment and walks away. Enter Brady and Arianna. Brady walks off to get news. Alone with Ari at last, Nicole asks her where she was at the time of the attack! Ari snaps she was in bed and gets hot under the collar when Nicole points out they could not reach her. Brady intervenes. What is going on? Nicole suggests he ask his angry girlfriend! - In his room, groggy patient Roman wakes up. Carly has some tests to run but he appears fine other than feeling like he was hit on the head. He thinks mom Caroline should go home. She is relieved. He wants her to get some rest. Exit Caroline with Carly. Abe steps up and Roman wants an update from his former partner. Abe drawls the attacker got sloppy this time and left evidence behind. They will soon have them. He gets texted that the lab reports are in and walks out to see. - Out in the hall, Ari and Nicole bicker. Brady stands between the two gals. Nicole points out she was MIA. Ari snaps she was asleep. Mayor Abe approaches. Brady asks if Roman remembers anything. Nicole asks about the evidence. Abe explains they do have DNA evidence from a flashlight they assume was used in the attack, so it is only a matter of time ... - Lipstick Hope returns to the house of Kiriakis and elegantly pours her smug self a drink. She whispers she is getting close to her ultimate target! She goes to her room and adds Roman's wallet to her collection, musing that Bo will not know what hit him ...! - At the pub, Carly has dropped off Caroline. Carly updates her that Hope no longer blames her for the breakup of her and Bo. Caroline deduces then she must be blaming Bo! "So now my son is evil?!" she laments. Carly blinks. - Back at the hospital, Abe soon drops a bomb on Brady, Nicole, and Ari. The prints on the flashlight belong to Arianna Hernandez ...! Next on Days of Our Lives Steph and Mel struggle over her purse. Chloe toys with her wine glass. "I hope you don't find out I slept with Phillip!" "Can anyone give you an alibi?" Abe solemnly asks Ari. |
