He puts down his paper and grumbles he has indigestion. Viv is concerned and suggests a doctor. He doubts it would help. What will? The Greek tycoon glares. He is not ill, yet implies he is not right in the head for having asked Viv to marry him. She promises he will have no regrets. He complains that thanks to their wedded bliss, his family is shunning him, including Phillip, who has denounced the both of them! Viv does not want their happy occasion to cause them grief. Why is he marrying her? Because he gave his word. Viv has hoped for this for years. The Greek tycoon steps away to get an antacid. Viv nervously plays he loves me he loves me not with a yellow rose and gets stuck by a thorn before the last petal says he loves her. She concludes he loves her yet is stressed. Thud! Viv races off to see what the commotion was about. "Victor ...?!" - Chez Bo, he has made Carly French toast. She missed him and his cooking. They kiss passionately.The pair accidentally knock over a box - Ciara's gift from Bo. Carly points out she left a message for Hope about it. She also informs Bo that Hope has told her she no longer has any ill will toward her. Bo would like to hear more. Carly warns he might not like it. - Hope skips along with Ciara, who says if daddy got her a present, she can put it in her treasure box, just like mommy's! Hope righteously denies the existence of any such secret box. Ciara explains it is under her bed and it contains treasure mommy has gotten from other people. She also remembers seeing Brady's ID in it but does not pass on that detail. - At the pub, Mel and Phil have breakfast and discuss Ari's predicament. Mel just knows she is innocent and Brady will get her out! Meanwhile, outside, Nicole is on camera, recounting that Roman Brady was mugged by the crafty criminal, one Arianna Hernandez. Out walks Phil. "Cut!" He demands the tape be removed and given to him. He is killing the story, as Titan TV boss. Nicole is exasperated. They cannot ignore that Ari is in custody. She insists they have a responsibility to the viewing public. Mel walks out and defends Ari. She accuses Nicole of just wanting Brady. She doubts smearing Ari will help win him back and becomes sarcastic. Besides, she was offered the roving reporter job first. She tells Nicole to go fix her melting lips. Nicole smirks and excuses herself. Phil is amused and asks Mel if she is sure she does not want the reporting job. Mel does not and makes a joke about Nicole killing her if she took it. Cackling Mel and laughing Phil walk away, hand in hand. - Nicole later calls Baker with an update on Ari looking guilty, a reminder to tell his partner to stop the attacks. He warns that once his partner finds out they framed that chick, she will probably come after Nicole, so he sure hopes the few minutes of happiness she gets out of it were worth it. Click! When Phil comes back, Nicole argues her case about reporting on the arrest. He agrees to let her do the story if she promises to make nice. Melanie rejoins them as they watch Nicole's new improved report. Roving reporter Nicole pretends to believe in Arianna's innocence. Phil grins it was perfect and thanks her. - Sleepless Brady visits Ari at her cell. She again accuses him of doubting her. He claims it was just shock, not doubt, that she saw in his eyes. She wants him to go. He refuses. He wants to get her out. He is certain she has been set up. She, however, says the police claim the evidence does not lie and woefully suggests he get lost. Brady is dismayed. She refuses to take up his offer of assistance and cries she would rather go with a public defender. "Guard, we are done here!" she cries. - Brady comes upon Nicole wrapping up her report, Phil thanking her. Brady solemnly thanks her as well. Once they are alone, Nicole pretends to give Brady some advice. Perhaps he should stay away from Ari and she will come around. He appreciates her caring and also appreciates that she went easy on Ari on the air. He again thanks her. Nicole stares at her ex wistfully. "My pleasure." She admits a part of her will always love him, despite the fact that she claimed to be happy for him and Ari. She reaches for his hand. Brady suddenly gets a text message about grandfather, from Henderson ... - Mel and Phil stroll along the pier and he informs her he and Nicole used to be close. She did not know that about him. All kinds of things she does not know about him! He drawls she is right about that and flashes back to making love with Chloe. The couple soon arrive home and he assures her he and Nicole were just friends. Mel grins she married one of the good guys. The newlyweds kiss and prepare to go upstairs when he gets an unexpected text message. "It's my dad," he says with worry. - Chloe walks around the apartment in a blue dress, thinking how she had told Daniel she would tell all tomorrow. "Tomorrow is today," she sighs, and heads for the door. Dan emerges from the bedroom as he throws on a shirt and wonders where she is going. Out to get some milk. He explains he did that yesterday. She says how happy she is they moved up their wedding date. Dan asks if she is ready to talk about what else she had on her mind - what she had promised to tell him today. Chloe forces a smile. He assures her whatever it is, it will not affect their life. Chloe sighs. If he knew the truth, he would see she does not deserve him. Dan breathes he is the one who does not deserve her. He understands the stress his being around the mother of his biological child might have caused and offers to steer clear of Carly. Chloe tries to tell him everything is all her fault. She feels she is imagining things and losing her mind, but she will always love him. He will always love her too, no matter what. He reminds her of their wedding vows and alludes to the fact that love conquers all. Chloe's pretty blue eyes are filled with pain and guilt. - Ciara and Hope arrive at Bo's house. Carly excuses herself to leave for work. Bo hugs his daughter and shows her the surprise he got her. Tis a snow globe, which Ciara declares she will put in her own treasure box. Mommy has one too, she adds! Hope sends her upstairs to find some books from her room. Bo thanks Hope for bringing over their daughter. He has missed Ciara. How are they both doing? Hope is well, but laments their daughter is not fine. She is worried about her, with these stories. Bo offers to talk to her. Hope would appreciate that and heads for her job at the station. Bo later sits and talks to his daughter. He wonders whether she mentioned mommy's treasure box because she was going through mommy's things. She nods, but denies taking any of her makeup when he brings up the missing lipstick mommy never uses. Perhaps Ciara can help him find that lipstick. Ciara deduces Vivian might have taken it. Bo is impressed with her sleuthing skills and starts to ask about mommy's box. Ring ring! Tis a text message for Bo. Something is wrong with Victor ... - Hope visits Ari at her cell, claiming she wants to help. She knows she argued with Brady before Roman's attack. Ari thinks she must assume she is a man hater. Hope understands. "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned," she whispers. She shows her the sign of female empowerment. Hope thinks the symbol was well known by the dangerous gang she used to run with. Quite a coincidence! She wants to believe Ari is innocent but would need something. Why were her and Brady arguing? Because of Nicole. Hope perceives Ari is frustrated. Ari insists she is a good person and the whole thing is ridiculous. Hope thinks there might be a reasonable explanation for everything. She reminds Ari she used to be a drug user. All the men attacked were powerful and successful and the last 2 targeted were men who let Ari down. Ari does not see what she is getting at. Hope can sympathize. She concludes Ari must have snapped. She feels the attacks were a cry for help and assures her she wants to help her. - Chloe is with Daniel at the hospital. He wishes to check on someone. Once Chloe is alone, Carly approaches and assumes she has already told Daniel the truth. No. She tried twice though she could not. Carly reminds her she must and then she will be able to enter her marriage with a clear conscience. Carly cannot bring herself to hurt Daniel by keeping another secret, so either Chloe must tell him or she will! Chloe reminds her she cheated with Lawrence. Carly insists she tell Dan, who comes along and asks tell him what. Ring ring! He has now received a text message about Victor. - Back at the house of Kiriakis, a most anxious Vivian stands all alone ...! Next on Days of Our Lives Vivian laments "I never meant it to happen this way!" "Hang in there, Victor!" Bo mutters. STEFANO Don't get mad. Get even! WILL Works for me! |
