Like mother, like son! - Legal eagle Justin finds Chloe at the pier and ecsorts her somewhere in a hurry ... - Stefano is at the hospital to see Lexie. She has not been rrrreturning his calls! He grumbles that she is good friends with Taylor, who works for the enemy! Lexie informs him that she knows all about EJ's feelings for Tay. Stefano growls it is a disaster. Lexie explains Taylor has left town for good. She is history. Stefano stares. Lexie feels for EJ, who considers Tay the love of his life. The phoenix impatiently disagrees. EJ thinking he loves her is really just revenge against Nicole for all she has done to him. Lexie quietly adds there are things he and EJ are not admitting to her. She saw how concerned Taylor was about EJ. Are they in trouble? No, retorts the phoenix. Especially not after today! - At the mansion, replay of EJ learning from Nicole that Tay has left. She suggests that he call her if he does not believe her. He takes out his phone and discovers her phone is now out of service. Nicole smugly states it was rude! EJ snaps did she threaten her into leaving? He then deduces she blackmailed her into getting out of town by threatening to turn him into the cops. He walks out of the room, leaving Nicole alone. Upstairs, when she finds him, he rages they had a business arrangement and they are not bloody Romeo and Juliet! Nicole insists they do have something. He gets close and grabs her arms. He will never love her after what she has done. She complains he is hurting her. He holds tighter. Is that betta? Nicole's eyes flicker with worry. EJ whispers she is lucky he does not simply kill her! The only reason he does not is because Johnny and Sydney are his priority. Nicole gets sarcastic. He tells her to get out. She storms off, claiming his presence disgusts her. - At the now interrogation room, Rafe 2 dares Rafe to just give him to the cops, who will throw him in the slammer. But Rafe isn't interested. The imposter chuckles he is going rogue and sounding more like him. Rafe drawls he is gonna help him bring down the DiMeras for good. Faux Rafe grins. That is delusional! He refuses to talk. His testimony would not be worth much anyway. Rafe replies he only wants to know what he had done after stepping into his shoes. No luck. Rafe warns if he wants to keep on existing, he needs to cooperate! If he gives him what he needs, he can provide what he wants. Rafe 2 considers. Why should he trust him? Rafe points out that he is a man of his word. The imposter considers. "You've got a deal." He starts at the beginning, when he went "home" for the first time. He talks of Sami being needy in the bedroom. Rafe warns him to shut up. The imposter leers they worked hard at it over and over and over ... Rafe suddenly punches him and makes his mouth bleed. Rafe 2 agrees no more Sami sex talk. Rafe wants only to know what the angle of the DiMeras was. EJ wanted to get him away from the kids. It took a long time before Sami had enough of him, cos she wanted to stand by her man. And then there were the kids. The imposter brags that Johnny was digging the new Rafe better than the old one! Rafe snaps to just give him something he could use. Or what? Rafe 2 laughs he wouldn't kill him, as he does not have it in him. Rafe grabs him by the collar and warns not to keep testing him! Rafe 2 now suspects he wants to learn how to "be" him, in order to gather evidence against the DiMeras, but it won't be easy. Rafe listens. The imposter declares there is only one him and they are very different. Rafe agrees. Rafe 2 adds the main difference is that he is a free thinker, whereas the real Rafe is not. That is why he will never pull it off! - At the pub, Viv and flunky Gus are dining, drinking together, as she complains about Stefano blowing off her business offer. Enter Victor all alone. He asks Caroline for coffee and cherry pie. Caroline asks what Maggie will be having. She is not coming! Viv takes it all in, watching with beady eyes, listening. Victor admits he and the redhead are taking a break. Madame Viv is elated ... - Maxine runs into Maggie at the hospital and notes she seems blue. The redhead assures her she is fine, even though she had trouble sleeping last night. Maxine concludes she must miss her fella, the one with the Greek name who always used to call when she was volunteering. Were they having a fling? She teases she can tell her! Maggie appears speechless. - Down at the pier, new drug lord Quinn tests the pure white stuff. He tells his flunky now that this operation is up and running, time for the next thing! He just needs the right person to help get that most lucrative operation off the ground ... - Justin and Adrienne have a surprise for Chloe at the mansion - Parker and a court "nanny." Phil is in town so Justin got the judge to agree to a supervised visit. Chloe takes her baby in her arms, overwhelmed. She holds and kisses him, smiling. Justin and Adrienne watch, touched by the scene. Mama Chloe sings itsy bitsy spider. The nanny explains the few minutes are up. Chloe insists she is doing better. It is not up to her to decide. It is the decision of the judge, Justin explains. She needs to be patient. Chloe kisses her boy and promises to see him soon. "I love you," she quietly cries as she hands him back. - In her kitchen. Maggie wonders why she could not bring herself to tell Maxine that she and Victor were through. Knock knock! Tis Viv, bearing flowers. The redhead wonders if she dipped them in arsenic and tries to get rid of her. Viv purrs she is there to bury the hatchet. In her back? Viv had time in the sarcophagus to contemplate her life and put things in perspective. It made her think of her mortality, long term goals and plans. Maggie sincerely hopes they include her committing harikari or at least leaving Salem! Vivian starts to apologize. Maggie is not at all interested. Madame Viv continues regardless. She explains now that she has moved on, the idea of coming between her and Victor, the two lovebirds ... She stops and slyly asks if she has pushed a button. Maggie turns away. Viv pushes her way in and offers to listen. Maggie exclaims she is the last person she wants to speak to! Viv asks if she is still seeing Victor. Enter the Greek tycoon. He barks at Vivian to go away and stay away! He knows she overheard his conversation at the pub with Caroline. Viv denies it. He snaps he never cared for her and never will, unlike Maggie! Viv argues he will only be interested until he meets someone younger and more buxom! Victor and Maggie giggle. Exit Viv. Maggie thanks him. He hands her back her casserole dish. He adds she will use it again when she has someone to cook for and departs. Maggie tells him goodbye and sadly watches as he lumbers out. - Nicole walks alone outside, whispering she did this for Sydney. She loves her and always will. Brady is walking outside as well and has overheard. He approaches and asks if she is alright. Nicole bitterly laments she always is. He remarks she does not look like she misses Taylor, who has fled Salem. Why does she drive away those who care about her? Nicole snaps that b*tch never gave a damn about her any more than he or EJ did! Brady emotionally reminds her that he was the man who loved her. "I loved you!" he declares, his eyes filled with tears. - EJ shows up at Lexie's office and is dismayed to hear she knows not where Taylor went, only that she is not coming back. - Outside the pub, Justin and Adrienne explain to Chloe that she will get partial custody once they are able to prove she is deserving. Legal eagle Justin is working on it. Quinn lurks nearby ... - Back at the mansion, Stefano wishes to talk business. EJ wishes to be left alone. Papa phoenix suggests he stop feeling sorrrrrrry for himself. He has gone crazy over this woman he cannot have! But they need to handle the Rafael situation. Will his son do it or will he have to clean up the mess himself! EJ sulks. The phoenix sighs this Rafael is like a roach that keeps coming back. EJ gets mad that he has already lost so much. He will not let anyone take another single thing from him! - Chloe is sitting alone at the pub, fixing her teary eyes. Quinn joins her and drawls you cannot improve perfection. Eerie Vivian type music is heard (well, he is Vivian's son!) He tells her if she sticks with him, she will be well off. How about a date? Dinner, wine, and a nice drive. "No drama, you have my word." Chloe agrees it is a good idea. His positive attitude cheers her up. "Let's do it!" Quinn is visibly pleased. - Outside, Brady goes on to Nicole. He recalls how he cared about her so much that he could not see straight. But at least now he does not have to deal with her two-faced crap! Her sister is better off too. Nicole notes he never used to be so cruel. Brady reminds her she made her bed with EJ so she can lie in it and takes off. Nicole cries. - Back at the interrogation room, Rafe 2 drawls he is an American hero and the DiMeras will know real Rafe is not him. When they smell him coming, he will be a dead man! - Back at the mansion, Stefano has a phone number for EJ. A man who can make problems disappear. "The Cleaner." He will return from China in a couple of days. Stefano is glad Elvis came to his senses and points out that as Rafael is technically a police officer, it will be a little more difficult. EJ is ready to play, for he feels this man was the root of all his present problems. He suddenly remembers Taylor. "That bastard ruined my life! I'm going to kill him myself ...!" Next on Days of Our Lives "Fatha, I want this over!" EJ insists. Nicole is surprised to see Rafe open the door at the loft. "Oh my God! What are you doing back in town!" Dan and Jen clink their wine glasses. "To tonight," she whispers. |
