Monday, September 17, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon September 14 PAYBACK ... - At the hospital, Hope presents Jen with flowers to celebrate her first day back on the job. She would like to have a coffee together but Jen gasps she must speak with Daniel right away! Hope perceives something is the matter. Jen complains she did something foolish after Dan tried to be her hero. She overreacted and simply must apologize, to make things right between them. Hope patiently suggests she talk to her first, so as to become more coherent. Jen now tells her the whole tale. She is admittedly confused about why she got so angry. Hope suspects she is really angry at herself. On some level, she feels it betrays Jack to allow Daniel to be such a close friend ... - Replay of Nicole kissing Dan. He pulls away and says to stop! She is sorry. He stands up and mutters he does not wish to hurt her. She acts like it is only because he is at work and promises to keep their personal relationship private. She smugly gushes she will be waiting for his call and proceeds to leave. Dan is dumbfounded. Before she departs, he announces he simply cannot give her what she wants. He urges her to listen to his words. “I am not ready for a relationship and I don’t think you are either.” She needs to focus on her baby and her future. Nicole’s eyes are filled with tears. He adds that he might never be able to make a commitment again. This is the very last conversation they will have on the matter. She cries as he shares his view that their being together made no sense for either of them. Hormonal Nicole emotionally insists it was not a mistake for her. They made all the sense in the world. He is sorry. He assures her she is an amazing woman and reminds her she is a survivor. She thanks him. He believes she will be an exceptional mother who will have a wonderful life with her baby. However, he will not be a part of it. The time has come for them to cut their losses and move on. Nicole sadly blinks and agrees. But she still wants him to know why she kissed him. She feels like a fool that her impulses were wrong. Nevertheless,she is his friend and is worried. What has him so upset? He laments Mel is engaged and he suspects it was her reaction to Nick being released. Nicole notes he and EJ could end up becoming one big unhappy family, given that Chad is his brother. If there is something she can do ... - Sami is drinking wine and obsessing over what Rafe might have said about her. She suddenly decides to go ask him. Bo, however, is standing at the door. He is glad she is at home. She impatiently claims she has no time. He orders her to make time for this! He has the final paperwork concerning her arrest, which she must now sign. It cannot wait and Sami is irritated She grabs the pen to sign and Bo grumbles to read it first like an adult. Sami complains she is having a bad day. She does not know who to trust. Bo muses the way she lives her life, he is not surprised. He lectures her for leaving her kids to aid and abet DiMera. He exclaims she does not think, she just runs around lighting and trying to put out fires. Sami snaps he is a crappy uncle and storms out. Bo sighs that went well! - The showdown continues at the town square. Rafe defiantly tells EJ to go to hell. EJ frowns and without any warning, headbutts Rafe! The two men start to struggle all over the square, pushing each other and groaning. Rafe now gets EJ in headlock. A crowd gathers. John and Lucas stare at the scene. Lucas wonders whether Sami has anything to do with this. John wonders if they should stop it. Lucas grins they should be selling tickets to DiMera getting roughed up. John keeps watching. Rafe sends EJ flying and he comes right back! EJ grabs Rafe again, but the trained cop now sends him flying into a plant. John drawls he should do the right thing. Someone could get hurt. Lucas smirks and hopes so. Rafe punches EJ and he goes down. They stand up and EJ prepares to throw a punch when John intervenes. He steps between them and warns Rafe this could cost him as he is a cop. He should have known better! A big guy holds back EJ and explains this guy threw the first punch so it was self-defense on the cop's part. John turns and observes EJ. He sarcastically wonders what more the disgraced ex-mayor is willing to lose. Rafe, who has a scratch on his forehead, smirks at EJ, who is still mad as hell, blood on his chin. - Justin is with Sonny at the coffee house and wonders if his good mood is connected to Brian. Sonny explains they were never more than friends. There is someone else. Justin now learns it is Will and asks if Adrienne knows. Yes. Justin now asks if Sami knows. Sonny has no idea but if Will told her, he hopes she is fine with it. Concerned Justin wonders what if she is not. That would be her problem! Justin now brings up Adrienne’s reaction. Sonny complains she believes Will has too much baggage. Justin makes light of it, given their own family baggage. Sonny laughs he ought to remind her of that. He now wonders about the reaction of Will’s mom and grins this relationship sure won’t be boring, given both his and Will's unusual families. - Jen explains to Hope she does not wish to hurt Daniel again, that is all. Hope does not think he would have romance on his mind. Jen wonders what if he thinks that is what she is thinking! She flashes back to Nicole imploring her not to play mind games with the doctor. Perhaps Nicole was right. She now barges into the room where Nicole has just asked Dan if there is anything she can do. Jen would like a word with Dan when he has the chance. Jealous Nicole is peeved about the interruption. - Rafe drawls it is EJ’s lucky day for he will not be pressing charges. John stops him from getting closer. EJ retorts that is big of him. Rafe growls he will self-destruct on his own and walks off. John warns EJ he should have known he could not defeat Rafe with violence. EJ tends to his wounds, decides he will come up with another angle, and departs. John wonders. - Sami is outside the pub when Rafe staggers by. She notices the cut on his forehead and her eyes widen. He is bleeding! He drawls he is fine and enlightens her about his fight with EJ. He was tempted but cooler heads prevailed and John broke it up. Sami would like to know what they were fighting about. Rafe slowly shakes his head. - EJ is sitting at the town square and places a call, having regained his composure in spite of the dried blood on his face. Always a stiff upper lip. He reaches lawyer Justin and insists he needs to see him now. He holds some ice to his sore head and they arrange a meeting. Elvis has big plans to destroy three lives ... - Commissioner Roman has a meeting with Bo at the station. The city budget requires some of them take pay cuts. Bo is dismayed. “Again!” He will have to think about it. Roman is sorry. Bo takes off ... - Dan explains to Jen he and Nicole just finished. He is unexpectedly paged and promises to get back to her later. Nicole now advises Jen to wait for they have to clear the air about Daniel ...
