Up by early afternoon September 24 KISS YOU WHEN IT'S DANGEROUS! - Rafe and Sami stroll together through the town square as he escorts her to their date destination on this Indian summer night. She pleasantly asks how his day was. He flashes back to Nicole updating him on her big photoshop fiasco. He now tells Sami it was par for the course, then asks about her day. She flashes back to Marlena’s advice and explains it was full. They keep walking and he places his hand on her lower back as they pass a pretty flower shop. Sami gives him a coy glance. - Nicole is at Horton house, teasing her unborn soccer player son to stop kicking. Enter Jen and she is in a mood. She wants to discuss her moving out! Nicole gets sarcastic about giving her the boot. Jen explains she has a place to stay until she has her baby but after seems to be another story! Nicole wants to have it out right here right now. She has heard that Jen spoke to Daniel about EJ. Jen denies her decision has anything to do with Daniel. "The hell it doesn't!" snaps Nicole. She demands to know if she has a problem with her being around Dan. Jen righteously replies that whatever is between her and Daniel has absolutely positively nothing to do with her. She adds she should lie on her side to calm the baby. Nicole thanks her for that much. Exit Jen. She has something up her sleeve ... - Dan meets up with Maggie at the pub. She has just bought almost bride Mel her bridal shoes. They both agree this whole scenario is rushed and desperate. Maggie suspects Mel will not change her mind, though. She soon explains she must get something at the house, then return to Mel. Dan murmurs she does appreciate her. Maggie tries to reassure him that his daughter is happy. She had a successful, empowering talk with Nick and no longer considers him a threat. Proud papa Dan praises her for her courage. Maggie suggests she inherited that from him! He seems to doubt his own strength and courage but Maggie insists he is the same. They face their problems head on and do the right thing. He is a good man! He grumbles not that good. She wonders what he means. Dan flashes back to the widow Jennifer asking how he can deny a father his child, even if he is that lowlife EJ DiMera ... - Mel wants to know what the hell is going on as she faces Gabi and Chad. Chad tries to stop Gabi, who insists he cannot stop her for she is done with all the lying! Mel impatiently snaps to just say it. Gabi laments she is sorry she betrayed her! Mel wrongly assumes the pair cheated together. They deny it. Gabi takes a deep breath and informs her that Andrew was no ordinary stalker. He was her very own stalker-for-hire. Mel laughs and would like to know why she hired him. For attention from Chad. She hoped he would see she needed him and would care about her. Chad growls he had no idea. Gabi agrees that is true. She did everything, including the doll vandalism, and then paid Andrew to be her stalker. Mel cannot believe she hired Andrew to kidnap her. Gabi cries that was never her intention. Andrew became obsessed with her and went rogue. She is deeply sorry. Mel gives her a strange look. She is sorry??? She screams she was her friend who was worried about her. "GET OUT! she rages. Exit Gabi. Mel slams the door on her, then faces Chad through her angry tears. Why did he not want Gabi to tell her this? Chad claims he knew she would be upset. Mel deduces he knew all along and never told her. - Nick staggers to the door of his hospital room and collapses as nurse Maxine enters. She catches him and takes him back to bed. He can leave only when Dr. Kayla says so! Nick realizes she is a friend to Melanie and assures her she has nothing to fear from him. Maxine glances back and notes it looks like someone else did not think so ... - Dan picks up his food order at the pub after Maggie departs. Rafe and Sami enter. Rafe rushes up and urges the good doctor to keep checking on Nicole. EJ is giving her a hard time. He hopes he has him neutralized for now. Dan knows she is scared. And hormonal. He promises to get on it and takes his leave. Rafe now sits at his table with Sami and teases at least Caroline is not present. He hopes she is okay with eating here, given she was dressed for something fancier. She gushes she loves the pub. He grins she brought her little purse. She smiles she did not think she would need cab fare... She now calmly asks how Nicole is doing. Rafe becomes uncomfortable. Sami pleasantly presses. She knows Dan saved her baby after the explosion and assumes he is Nicole’s doctor. Rafe assures her she is fine. Sami is glad, for him. Rafe appears pleased. - Meanwhile Dan heads to the hospital for his shift, where Jennifer is already up to mischief ... - Nick is relieved to see Gabi when she returns, but the genius perceives something is the matter. She pretends she had to run an errand and offers to bring the car to the door. Would he like to go home or to the pub? Nick admits he would rather Caroline and Maggie not view his beaten face. She suggests he sneak upstairs at the mansion. Maggie might not see. However, others will eventually notice. Nick explains he will say he had an accident. Gabi hands him a prescription. However, he refuses the pain medication prescribed by the doc. He is fine and not interested in taking anything. He crumples the paper and they depart together. - Chad stammers he was indeed aware of what Gabi did. Since when? He overheard Andrew talking to Gabi at the hospital shortly before he died. Mel cries he has known for weeks. He reminds her that she was traumatized. She points out Gabi could have harmed her in the meantime. He argues he did his best to keep her at bay. Mel realizes her friend was not answering her calls because he was threatening her. But this was her decision to make! She screams at him for taking over. He insists he was protecting her. Mel is upset only Gabi told the truth. He reaches for her and she suddenly sees his bloodied hand. Mel is unable to conceal her horror. - Rafe and Sami dine and drink their red wine. Rafe clumsily informs her that he and Nicole are not together. Sami is relieved to hear it. She will make nice as long as she has the baby. Rafe is impressed. She is trying and admits she was bratty about Nicole and also Carrie in the past. She understands why he might have gotten even with her and sighs she would certainly deserve it. Rafe quips he is not doing that. Sami gets back to his baby boy and Rafe wonders how she knows it is a boy. Nicole told her. She praises him for being a great dad to her kids. She knows he will be a great dad to his baby boy. Rafe suddenly announces he has something to tell her ...
