Thursday, September 27, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! Up by early afternoon September 26 NO ABSENCE OF MALICE - Replay of Mel informing Chad she is in fact going to Europe alone! She needs time and space. Chad realizes she means away from the likes of him and he does not take the news well, as one might expect of a DiMera. They were just planning their wedding and their happily ever after a few hours ago! And he already said he was sorry! Mel frowns she knows. He insists he still loves her, then shakes his head and wonders whether she has stopped loving him. She snaps she could have been killed and flies at him for believing HE knew what she needed. Chad argues he was trying not to make things worse. She screams he made it worse. And she will never forgive Gabi for the whole sordid mess. He whispers what about him? Can she ever forgive him? She plans to do some thinking about the rest of her life. He would like to know if he will even be a part of it! She is not sure she will come back though she intends to take her life back! Chad laments she will be on another continent. He suddenly decides he will wait as long as it takes and asks for some hope. He swears he will not give up, adds he will see her before she goes, turns back one last time, and walks out the door. Mel sits down and cries her heart out. - EJ’s man Howard repeats. Does he want Rafe dead? No, he does not want any blood on his hands. That would be Stefano’s way, the old way. They must find another way to destroy his enemy. For good! They sit and discuss. Howard listens intently as EJ complains it is increasingly hard for him to discredit Rafe now that he and Samantha are growing close. He wants him out of her life, plus he will not have him raising his baby! However, the discrediting of Rafe cannot be traced back to him. Howard would like to know what he wants him to do. EJ orders him to be ready when he calls. He will indeed and strolls off. Ring ring! Tis Chad, who is choked up, begging for his brotherly help. EJ is on his way! - Rafe reminds Sami their date was dinner no strings, just like she said. She reminds him he did kiss her and it felt like old times, when things were perfect. Rafe impatiently denies it. She dares him to tell her it meant nothing. Rafe ‘s phone rings and he explains he must deal with this. Sami wonders if something has happened. He grumbles to stop pushing. Yes, that kiss was impulsive and amazing, and brought back certain memories. However, sometimes a kiss is just a kiss. She retorts sometimes it is not. Rafe now admits there is still the big issue of her betrayal. He does not presently trust her and is not sure he ever will! Sami realizes she broke his heart. But is he happier now than when they were together? Rafe whispers he cannot do this now. She understands and excuses herself. Justin returns Rafe’s call. He has sent him a text and can meet with him now, as a meeting was cancelled. Meanwhile, Sami marches through the town square and tries to convince herself she is right about the kiss. - Will plops down on the white town square sofa with his guy Sonny. The college kid has a book but does not feel like studying economics. Sonny grins he knows exactly what he means and kisses him in plain view. Lucas suddenly appears under the archway behind the pair and stares unseen at the display. Sonny stops and suggests they get back to work. Will is against it until Sonny points out it will give them enough time for whatever later! Lucas now joins them and pleasantly asks about their studying. Will has economics to study. Lucas cheerfully notes Sonny must be an expert on that, given he runs his own business. Sonny gets an unexpected call that an employee is sick so he must leave for the coffee house. He asks if Will wants to come by later. Will grins he is in. Sonny bids Mr. Horton and Will a friendly farewell and walks off. Lucas sits next to his son and demands to know when he was going to tell him they were an item. Will would rather not talk about it just yet. Lucas mutters that makes two of them, though he claims to be happy for him. Will nervously asks if he wants anything to eat or drink. Lucas has an errand to run and declines. Will goes to get something and airily states he will see him around. - Marlena drops by the Kiriakis mansion to see Brady. He assures her all is well in his world. She wonders if he is as fine as he is acting. He calmly insists he is. He admits that every morning he still looks for Madison in bed. Thank God the job keeps him busy so there is no danger of him reaching for a drink. Marlena agrees work is a good coping mechanism, at least for the first few months. Brady sighs he does miss working with John, who has been so amazing. Marlena smiles he misses him too but knows the new job is best for him. Brady now shares his regrets about criticizing John to Madison. He owes both John and Marlena so much and is grateful for their endless support. - At the pub, Nick is curious why Gabi just told him her deep dark secret. Gabi wanted to tell him the truth, to prove he was not the only one with a past. He notes she does not have to prove anything to him. She thanks him for giving her the courage to do the right thing and for not judging her harshly. Nick thinks he is in no position to judge anyone. She laments she did something awful. He points out it did not start that way, but when it got out of hand … She insists something like that will never happen again. Nick believes her but suggests she consult with a lawyer. Her brother the cop is talking to one. But how to make them understand? Nick can relate, but notes she was a victim too as she too was duped by Andrew. She should stop acting so guilty. Perhaps she should also stop confessing to people. She explains she is only confiding in those who matter. Nick gets it. He now suggests she avoid Chad and Melanie. She can do that. He grins he should bus his tables before boss lady Caroline docks his pay for slacking off and steps away. Gabi stands at the bar, where she comes face to face with Mel ... - Adrienne approaches Justin, who is outside the coffee house. She learns his scheduled deposition was cancelled. She gushes so was her yoga class. Justin is sorry he did not know it and made an appointment with Rafe. They plan for some fun tonight and kiss. Will now walks by and Adrienne stares. Justin notices. She admits she is still worried that one might break Sonny’s heart. Justin disagrees and she smiles he is probably right, though she doesn’t really believe it. - EJ is at Chad’s place. He is very sorry and not impressed with Melanie gallivanting around Europe. Chad snaps this is all the fault of that bitch Gabi. He now has EJ’s interest, for he would love to hear all about Gabi Hernandez ... - Lucas is at Sami’s place and asks how she is. She quips she is fine and goes through the pictures on the table. Lucas needs the one Ally drew of. Will. He updates her on noticing their son kissing Sonny in the middle of the town square, for the whole world to see ... - Will arrives at the coffee house, where Sonny is busily working. He will join him when he can. Will sits down at a table alone with his book and Adrienne makes her move. She hopes the seat is not taken.Sonny watches in approval as Adrienne explains she knows Will overheard what she said. She was wrong and hopes he can forgive her! - Gabi informs Mel she never wanted her to be harmed. It is the truth! - EJ has just heard the whole sordid tale and asks Chad why he did not go to the police. Chad felt the stress would have been too great for Mel. He had not anticipated that Gabi would run around town confessing. Now his girl thinks he acted like a DiMera. EJ thinks Chad acted like a bloody hero when he beat up Nick! Chad growls that Nick and Gabi are happy and now he has lost the woman he loves! EJ wonders WOT he wants. He wants EJ to help him find a way make Gabi pay and prevent Mel from leaving Salem! He hopes he can help him. EJ craftily considers. - Sami insists to Lucas she is pleased that Will and Sonny worked things out. Lucas glumly agrees, then admits he wishes Will were more discreet. Sami notes it is easier to talk the talk. Lucas does not deny it. He loves their son for who he is too, but maybe he needs some time to get used to seeing him making out with another guy in public. Sami suggests he get used to it fast. Will and Sonny are good for each other. Lucas agrees they are and Sonny is a good kid. Sami tells him about Adrienne’s concerns and boasts that she and Kate made it right. She praises Lucas as a good dad and goes to put the picture in an envelope for Ally. - Will smiles to Adrienne it is alright but she thinks it was not and repeats she hopes he can accept her apology. He does and thanks her. She is grateful and goes to the counter. Sonny is glad she apologized and thanks her. She hopes he can forgive her too. Sonny assures her he has and if she keeps an open mind, she too will see how great Will is. He happily gets back to work. Adrienne gulps. - Justin and Rafe confer on a bench next to the honorable plaque of Tom and Alice Horton, a reminder of truth and goodness. Justin realizes this is a tricky situation. He does not want Rafe to incriminate himself.However, he will need more info on what Gabi did. Rafe admits he is not aware of all the details. Lawyer Justin decides to speak with her directly. Rafe agrees and will pay her retainer. Justin states they shall see. Rafe would greatly appreciate it if he could help her. - Mel coldly tells Gabi she is leaving town to see her mom, though she should not have to be the one to run away. Gabi worriedly wonders if she will be turning her in. Negative. She knows Gabi was the one who set the plan in motion, but she could not care less about her. She warns her to watch her back for Chad is out for her blood! Gabi starts to apologize. Mel cuts her off and asks for a word with Nick. She is shocked by the extent of his injuries and terribly sorry for what Chad did to him. - EJ urges Chad to pull himself together. Since Mel has not left town, he will indeed be able to fix this for him.He places his hands on his brother’s shoulders. Chad asks if he can really convince his girl to give him another chance.
