Carly would rather not discuss her feelings. She prefers facts only. Dr. Norman insists she is a compassionate, deep feeling woman. She is sure her kids feel the same. Carly is still down on herself. The doc adds she also feels for her patients. She started compartmentalizing when she had to with Lawrence. Carly notes she did it with Bo and Dan too. The doc smiles she can go out for lunch today, as she earned it. Enter Mel and Nicholas with a picnic basket. Family hug! As it turns out, the family picnic must take place in the rehab center. They enjoy their food at a table and Mel and Nicholas talk about Europe. Carly is sorry they did not know each other earlier. Mel is just happy she has her family now. Carly smiles. - At the hospital, Lexie wonders who could have done this to poor sweet beautiful Chloe, who remains in a coma. She promises her they will find the person who did this and put him out of commission. Exit Dr. Lexie. Chloe sleeps on, dreaming of her attack, how she struggled afterwards, battered and bloodied. - Meanwhile, Brady has taken cops Bo and Hope to the alley where said attack occurred. The police are busy with yellow tape. Brady flashes back to finding Chloe. Bo and Hope notice he looks upset and Bo assures him they will find this monster. Brady wants to get at him with a baseball bat! Hope thinks Chloe was in the wrong place at the wrong time. Bo wonders why she was even there. Brady remembers Kinsey telling him Chloe was hooking. Back to reality. Hope senses he knows something and says so. Brady swears he has shared everything. Hope wonders why he searched this spot. Brady repeats the statement he has already given Roman. Kinsey was worried she was missing so they looked everywhere. Hope continues to grill him. Brady snaps his ex-wife was beaten and left like garbage. He is upset! Hope is sorry and asks to see where she was found. Brady shows her the spot. Bo comes back and deduces that the attacker mistook her for a hooker. Brady winces and excuses himself. Hope reminds him they all want to catch the guy. Brady departs. Bo asks Hope what is the matter. She suspects Brady is holding back. Bo thinks this is not the real scene of the attack, it is just where she fell down. Hope agrees. They follow the tragic trail of blood drops and try to piece together the sequence of events as they occurred. They end up at the spot where the attack must have occurred and find a photo of Chloe's son, her purse, and a torn piece of cloth from the dress she was wearing. Bo drawls now they are getting somewhere ... - Lexie sits at her office desk, looks at her computer, and makes a phone call. She gets the voice mail of Sami and leaves a message. The results from her ultrasound are in. Moments later, Sami and Rafe return home from their drive to the country. He wishes he did not have to go to work. Sami assures him she is fine. Rafe wants to take the day off and pamper her. Sami suggests they treat this like an ordinary day and ushers him off to work. She will call if there is any news. Rafe declares he loves her, kisses her twice, and is gone. Once alone, Sami becomes more serious. She plays the message that her test results are in and glances at the door Rafe just left through. The message states Lexie can meet them after her rounds, at her office, in an hour, but Sami has no intention of waiting that long! - Maxine arrives at Lexie's office. Lexie asks her to track down Sami and Rafe so she can give them the test results. Maxine agrees. Dr. Lexie now goes off to do her rounds. Moments later, Sami sneaks into the empty office and sits down. She spies files on the table and rummages for hers. No luck. She then hacks into the computer and finds her name. "Oh my God! Oh my gosh, you gotta be kidding me!" There is nothing there but a blank space. - Brady is at the hospital bedside of Chloe and urges her to hear him. He realizes she has had it rough. However, she beat cancer and is so strong and special and beautiful. He knows not why she ended up selling herself on the street. Rafe slowly opens the door. Brady turns around. Rafe asks how the patient fares. No change. Rafe points out she must have been attacked because she was beautiful. Maybe when she wakes up, she can talk and help them get the dirt bag who did this to her. Brady implores him to find him. Rafe vows they will. Enter Dr. Lexie and Maxine. Lexie has the nurse take the vitals of the patient. Rafe already knows about the appointment with Lexie, as he was texted. Lexie is running late, so she arranges for Maxine to walk him to her office. She will follow shortly. Rafe is anxious about the results, though Lexie the professional gives nothing away. Once Rafe and Maxine are gone, Brady asks when Chloe will wake up. Lexie has no answer. She suggests Brady say a prayer and keep talking to her, for she knows he is there. - Maxine shows Rafe into the office and departs. Sami is hiding under the desk. Rafe wonders where she is. Sami is not sure what to do! - Back at the alley, Hope sends for forensics. Bo notices indentation on the crate where the fabric from Chloe's dress was found.
