| Wednesday, April 14, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only LONG DAYS JOURNEY INTO NIGHT ... - Kate and pensive Stefano await the arrival of the DiMera grandchildren. He laments time is running out. But his son knows better than to defy him. Kate wonders what exactly he has on EJ. Stefano flashes back to the moment of truth and will say only that it is irrelevant and he is not telling her. However, he has reconciled with his son and smiles he is getting his family back. Kate mentions Sami. Stefano is sure he will come through despite that one. Kate cannot imagine how EJ would be able to explain his 180 to her. Stefano advises her to stop wondering. If Elvis does not come through, "I will destroy him!" He thinks Katherine does not comprehend the complexity of his relationship with his son. She coos she knows that he loves him ... The phoenix cuts her off. No sentimental crap! He has not forgotten how many times his son said he was dead to him, cruelty in his eyes. And if he does not come through, he will throw those words back at him. His son will be dead to him! Ominous music is heard. Soon Stefano explodes what is taking so long! Kate again reminds him Sami is involved. Stefano thinks Elvis must be under her spell, if he does not do as he asked. Kate suggests he call him to find out ... - Chez Sami, EJ soberly tells her she should know the truth about what is going on. She thinks she has figured it out. She should have known! "You, EJ, are a DiMera through and through, and that will never change!" She exclaims she should not have been so naive. He claims that he can explain. His wanting Stefano to spend time with his grandchildren does not mean he respects him. Their relationship is difficult. Sami faces him and demands he tell her the truth and it had better be good! He spins an impromptu yarn ... These last few weeks, the bond he has developed with Sami has meant much to him. For the first time, they have started to see the best in each other, which is important for their kids. Sami states he has still not told her why their kids should be around Stefano. EJ explains Stefano is very sick and so he cannot refuse his request at this time! The diabetes is no longer under control and things do not look good ... Ring ring! Tis Stefano calling. "Time's up, game over!" He has a few minutes before he calls the authorities! Elvis replies he will have the children there immediately and gets off the phone. Sami points out she has not given her permission. He reminds her it is his night to have custody. He wishes he did not have to do this, yet he cannot let his fatha down. Sami exclaims but he lied to him! He says so did she and prepares to go get the children. Sami realizes she cannot prevent him from taking them, but she can go with them and tells him that is exactly what she intends to do. - Replay of Phillip overhearing Steph lecture Mel for writing Nathan a letter on her wedding day! He enters with a bouquet of flowers and gives Mel a solemn "Hi." Steph quips she is lucky to have such a husband and excuses herself to get ready for her date with Nath. Once she has gone, Phil asks why she was there. Mel stammers she just showed up to chat. "Really," drawls Phil dubiously. Mel nervously brings up her return to the nursing program, the fact that Steph wants them to get along. Phil alludes to the fact that he thinks there could be more she has to say to him. Like what, she says innocently. He looks at her and pretends he meant thank you, for the flowers. He turns his back to her as she gets a vase for the flowers and says she does not deserve him. Silence. What is wrong? He turns around and numbly tells her he loves her. She insists she loves him and gives him a hug.He wonders if there is something more that he might have interrupted with Steph. Mel will only admit they were getting on each others' nerves. She slyly asks if he heard anything. He replies no. She now announces she will tell him the truth, as he is her husband. She claims Steph is blaming her for her insecurities about Nathan. Phil asks if she has given a reason for that. Mel fails to mention the letter and insists she is committed to him. He purses his lips. Perhaps she has convinced Stephanie, but not really him! He knows Steph is not that paranoid. There must be a concrete reason. Mel denies it but says she does indeed have something to admit. She woefully confesses that there was a time before their wedding that she was not sure she could marry him - because of Nathan. But when she said her vows to him, she was sure and she meant every word! Phil stood by her the whole time after she was shot and she values him more than anything else in the world! He laments how can he know she is not lying. How can he know this is how she really feels. She insists she loves him more than anything and married the right man. She asks him to tell her he believes her. He observes her with his handsome, haunted eyes and they kiss. - At the station, Roman updates Rafe. As there was another attack just like what happened to D.A. Woods, he is free to go, at least for now. However, Roman wishes to talk Sami. He is dismayed she is ruining her life by allowing EJ to live with her. He warns Rafe to get her away from the influence of the DiMeras before it is too late! Rafe looks intense. Ari arrives. Roman departs and asks Rafe to think about what he said. Rafe suggests he and Ari head for the Cheatin Heart. - Steph and Nath talk on the phone as she tells him she is almost ready for their date. He thinks about her a lot and will see her soon. She gets done watering Caroline's plants and comes downstairs to the pub, happy to run into Uncle Roman. He asks how she is. She smiles that things are looking up. Enter Nath. They have coffee and she is sorry to hear about Justin. She will visit him tomorrow. Now, time to plan their date. Nathan wistfully remembers their ski trip date. It was really great, he thinks, but he should not have flip flopped over Melanie. Steph says that with time, she will make him forget that Mel ever existed. She adds she no longer feels threatened by her. Nath is glad she did not give up on him and they kiss. - Mel and Phil are in their bedroom. She wonders if he believes she loves him. He replies he is almost convinced and they kiss ... - At the Cheatin Heart, Arianna mentions Rafe trying to find Anna,to help Sami. He retorts as far as Sami is concerned, he has hit a dead end. They soon talk Brady. Ari insists they are fine, despite the fact that Nicole is lurking around and the wedding is on hold. She would rather talk Sami. He explains their relationship is over, even though he still loves her. Ari announces she knows how to fix their relationship. Find and bring the real kidnapper to justice ...! - At DiMera mansion, Sami and Elvis arrive with sleepy Syd and energetic Johnny. Stefano wonders why she is staring. Sami states he does not look sick. Stefano is baffled. "What makes you think I'm sick?" Sami appears miffed. Elvis explains he has told Samantha how the diabetes has caused problems for his heart ... Stefano plays along. He does not want any of his business competitors to know and therefore would rather not elaborate. Kate suggests that she and Sami go upstairs with the kids. Stefano wants Sydney to stay. Exit Johnny, Kate, and Sami. The phoenix informs Elvis that it is alright to claim he is irreversibly ailing for now, but he will not continue to pretend he is dying. By tomorrow, he will have miraculously recovered, so Elvis must come up with another solution, unless he wants everyone to find out what he did! EJ glumly considers. - Later on at the mansion, Kate assures Sami she tried to convince Will to give his mother another chance. Sami quips she is sure Will is not going to stay at this house of horrors for long and goes back in the living room to tell Stefano it is time for the kids to go. Stefano murmurs they are actually going to stay the night! Sami is very unpleasantly surprised.Elvis is quietly nervous. He pulls her aside and states the kids are enjoying themselves, plus it is almost bedtime. If it makes her feel better, he will stay there and bring them back in the morning. Sami sighs and curses. She then lifts up Sydney to tell her the new plan. She is spending the night with daddy and her brothers, though she will miss her. Stefano coos she will have a good night. Sami gives him a dirty look. She goes on to tell Sydney she is sorry she has to break her earlier promise of them never being apart again. She soon is gone, though she pauses angrily at the door to criticize Stefano for thinking he can take her children! Kate closes the door. - As Mel sleeps by his side, Phil nurses his wounded pride with a drink and flashes back to overhearing Stephanie accuse her. "How could you, Melanie? How could you write a letter to Nathan on your wedding day and tell him that you'd leave Phillip for him!" - Back at DiMera mansion, Elvis, looking livid, listens to Stefano telling Sydney what a celebration they will have, now that they have all been reunited ...! Next on Days of Our Lives "We are going to thrive and be very very happy," Steph smiles to Nath in bed . "We have some unfinished business to discuss," Phil drawls to Mel. "You and Nathan!" Brady informs Ari "It won't help the problem ..." |
