| Thursday, April 15, 2010 All rights reserved. Link Only THE EYES HAVE IT ... - At Java Cafe, Ari has just found out Brady got her an interview with a TV producer from Titan. Ari is excited. She perceives Brady appears distracted. He sips his coffee and admits he has Nicole on his mind. He cannot find the check he wrote her. Ari admits she gave it to her. He is surprised. She tells him she said it was from both of them, as she wants Nicole to feel they are a team, united. However, he points out she went behind his back! She confesses Nicole drives her to do things. Nicole even said she is the one who has Brady's heart! He thinks that was wrong of Nicole to say. She knows the deal is that she is supposed to leave town with the money and if she does not, he will be angry. Ari worries that if Nicole senses she has any chance with him... Brady drawls if she believes Nicole has any chance with him, then they have a big problem! - At the pub, diva Nicole is on the phone, trying to arrange an interview as a receptionist, but when they hear her name, click! Pretty Nicole is dismayed. - At the Cheatin Heart, Carly drops by and Adrienne is glad to see her. She is moving in tonight and wonders if pal Adrienne has a spare key. She does indeed and adds she looks forward to the company. She misses her boys. Carly innocently asks "Justin too?" Adrienne sadly states she does miss the good times of her family, though much has changed. She and Justin are now awkward around each other. Carly does not believe her feelings for Justin are gone. She should seize her second chance with him before it is too late! - Meanwhile. Hope is talking to Justin on the phone. She will drop by later to see how he is doing. Ciara now gets on the phone, asking Uncle Justin when he can go home. Today and, weather permitting, he will play frisbee with her at the park soon. They miss each other. Hope is moved. - At Dan's place, he informs Chloe that Carly has decided to stay with Adrienne across the hall. She hopes it is not her fault. He assures her it is a good scenario, kisses her, and heads off to the hospital. They will reconnect when he is on break ... - Steph and Nath are happy in bed together. She alludes to the fact that he is the guy of her dreams. He alludes to the fact that he has been a jerk cos of Mel. She wants to think of the now and the future. They will be happy together. They kiss on it. - Chez Maggie, Mel in a ponytail is eager to head out for her first day at the hospital, but intense Phil wants to talk about her and Nathan! Melanie looks pained. Phil wants to know how she feels about working near Nath again. She smiles her feelings for Nathan are history. He appears doubtful. She refers to last night, kisses him, and assures him she loves him. Exit Mel. Phil sighs. Mel pauses outside the door, tears in her immature eyes. She reports to the hospital and finds out from nurse Maxine that it is in fact Nathan's day off. Dr. Dan arrives. So does Hope, in a hurry to get to Justin's room. Dan wants to know the real reason Mel was so interested in Nath's schedule! She gets nervous, then confesses Phil overheard her arguing with Steph over Nath. When Phillip questioned her, she was not entirely honest. Papa Dan would like to know about what. She woefully admits she still has feelings for Nathan and hates herself for it! Does Dan hate her too? They go somewhere private to talk. Dan thinks she should not be so hard on herself when she gets "confused." She can sort it out. He has faith in her. He calls her his little firecracker and he will be there for her always. She cries like a child and they embrace. Hope is at Justin's bedside and he is glad she is not a dream. She offers to help him get checked out. They soon head for Java Cafe, where she asks for the details of his attack. He states he left the Cheatin heart after a bit of an argument with Adrienne, then things got black. He still has work to do at the office and gets up to leave. Hope stares at him, wide-eyed, and asks him not to leave. He turns around and sits back down. Hope remarks he seems to have a lot of clients in Salem. She brings up how very upset Adrienne must have been to find him unconscious. Justin tells her things really are over between himself and Adrienne. She is sorry to hear it."Are you really?" he wonders. Of course, says she. And why would he think otherwise ...? He mentions the way she was looking at him. Then again, maybe the painkillers are making him imagine things. Hope now admits he was not seeing things. He has become an important part of Ciara's life and hers. He informs her that Ciara lifts his spirits, as does her mother. He wishes he did not have to go to the office. She promises they will have time to talk later. She will be around tonight ... Later, Adrienne enters the cafe, looking for Justin. Hope updates her he went to the office, then says she is sorry she lied and summoned her to Salem. As it turns out, it was a mistake. Adrienne's face falls, her eyes filled with worry. - At the pub, Nicole has yet another unsuccessful phone call concerning a job. Brady saunters over to her. She laments no one is giving her a chance to turn her life around. She feels cursed. Brady claims he knows a way to fix that. She hopefully assumes he will get her a job at Titan. Nope. But she could leave town and go somewhere that she is not known. She quips everyone has heard of her thanx to the internet. Besides, Salem, U.S.A. is her home! He reminds her he wrote her a big check. Expenses would not be a problem. Nicole whips the check out of her purse and hands it to him. "Thanks but no thanks." She explains she is no beggar, which was how his insecure gal pal Ari made her feel. She adds she and Brady still have a serious connection. He was always there for her and she regrets not admitting to herself how much she felt for him. "You feel it, too," she concludes. He tells her not to do this and stands up. Nicole looks him in the eye and quietly says it seems Arianna does have a reason for feeling insecure. Brady offers to book her a first class flight to anywhere, hands her a wad of cash, and uncomfortably walks out, tho he pauses outside the window. - Phil and Chloe run into each other down at the pier. She thanks him for listening the other day and updates him on Carly's living arrangements. He snaps he cannot get into it right now! They sit on a bench and he explains he is in a mood, though it is not her fault. He found out Mel wrote Nath a letter on their wedding day, claiming she would leave Phil for him. Chloe thinks that is just awful. He continues. Mel did not tell him of the letter, though she insisted she wants to be married to him. He sighs they should be on a honeymoon stage, not bothered about another guy. Did she only marry him out of some sort of obligation? Or perhaps she was really after security, financial, as well as a family. Chloe does not want him to think like that and advises him to trust that she loves him. Besides, the letter was the past. Phil decides he will know how she feels the next time she looks at Nathan! He will see it in her eyes ... - Carly runs into Dan at the apartment as she gets her bags together. She notes he is home early. She also informs him there is an odd technique that could help his condition. Dan grins Mel is fortunate to have her as a mom. Carly smiles. She has him hold up an index finger and stare at a spot, her hand on his shoulder. Chloe arrives and unhappily watches the pair. Carly now has both hands on his shoulders and tells him to take a deep breath, concentrate ... - Back at the hospital, Mel is looking for a chart when Nathan shows up. Phil has also just arrived and watches the pair from the shadows ... - At the pub, nervous Ari has an interview with CC Chavez. Nicole walks over to say "hello." The reporter walks over to the bar to order a coffee. She makes a call on her phone and instructs someone to bring his camera to the Brady pub pronto! Ari stands up and the two gals face off. Arianna calls her names. A cameraman soon stands behind her, filming the whole sordid scene. The reporter is at his side, hoping for an interview. Nicole sees what is going on and warns Ari to wait until Brady finds out what she did to her! Brady arrives and gets rid of the paparazzi. Nicole accuses Ari of setting her up! Brady gives her a look .... Next on Days of Our Lives Ari exclaims she cannot believe Brady believes this lying ... "Of course he believes me!" quips Nicole. "I did what I thought was best for my children," Sami tells doubtful Rafe. "You harm one hair on her head and our deal is off!" Elvis tells papa Stefano. |
