JJ and Shawn have found a gun in Kristen's bag and assume the worst ... A suspiciously friendly Phil drops by to see Kayla and admits he feels badly about EJ. He wonders how long he will be comatose ... Meanwhile EJ continues to sleep in his hospital bed. Enter Belle. Tragic music. She tenderly takes his hand. He has no reaction cos of the induced coma ... Impatient Kristen wants to go. The cops demand answers. Shawn exits with her, heading for the station ... JJ pauses and remembers when he stopped Gabi from pulling the trigger by revealing they had found the real Rafe ... At Gabi Chic Melinda Trask enters Gabi's office. The stock is plummeting. Trask blames Leo and wonders who done it. Gabi sighs the CEO said it was HER ... Shin already knew EJ got shot and realizes the stock is down due to the medically induced coma. That changes everything and he panics. Xander assures him he has Philip doing some digging. Back at the hospital Kayla patiently points out she can only concur with EJ's family. Phil reasons DiMera is obliged to keep the public aware as DiMera is publicly traded. EJ's coma has already been revealed. He wonders how long he will be kept in said coma and Kayla gets suspicious ... - Belle woefully tells EJ she had no idea this would happen. He raises his head and leers as if you cared. Belle gasps. He insists he is just in her imagination but wonders if she does care. She insists she does. He questions her latest actions and argues she wanted him punished so why the tears? Could it be love??? ... Phil claims to be a curious concerned citizen. Kayla has heard about his shady ways from Stephanie. He lies he is just here to get his leg checked and plays the wounded warrior card. Kayla excuses herself ... Xander suggests Shin get EJ's vote by proxy and install himself as CEO, then cut the deal with unhostile Titan. Sharp Shin believes his brilliant idea is missing something that could change the playing field for all parties and he means Kristen DiMera!!! - Gabi complains about Kristen acting like she shot EJ so she suggested she was the one with the most motive ... Shawn joins Kristen at the station and announces JJ searched. JJ arrives as forensics has more to do and demands she come clean. Shawn recalls how her mom went missing. JJ sarcastically states EJ was lucky and suggests her mom vanishing was too convenient. Shawn and JJ both believe EJ is to blame. They assume he refused to return her mom and that was her motivation to shoot her brother almost dead ... Xander hears that Kristen has a majority. Phil returns and updates the men on something big. Kristen is being questioned at the station as they speak ... Kristen laughs she would never admit to shooting EJ and adds she did not do it anyway. She stands up and announces she is getting a lawyer. She tells the dream team the they are crummy cops. JJ agrees she can make her one call ... - Gabi argues Kristen would be the most likely suspect as she had more motive and also lives at the mansion. Ring Ring. Trask now gets a call from the DiMera diva who summons her to the station. Trask tells Gabi she is at the station already being interrogated ... Belle denies being in love with EJ but he heard he was already in her hot and soul. It must be love and he asks her to say the same. She confesses she does love him and he goes back to sleep. Kayla opens the door ... Trask arrives at the station and demands an explanation. Shawn and JJ hold up the gun. She notes tis not evidence yet and demands a word alone with her client. Done and the diva heads to the room. JJ wants them to get a quick match with the bullet and then realizes the bullet is not in the evidence log. Shawn assumes someone did collect it ... Belle states she just wanted to see how EJ was. Kayla notes she was not supposed to be here but it is good for the Salem patient to have caring visitors. Belle wonders who done it. Kayla knows not. They are both praying the perp will be found ... Back at the Kiriakis mansion Phil explains Kristen was taken to the station cos of a gun. Shin concludes they must act fast ... - Back in her office elegant Gabi calls Javi to cancel a meeting cos Kristen is being grilled by the cops. She insists she knows not whether she did it and then remembers that fateful night when she watched EJ through the window ... Kristen insists Melinda get her out cos the shares must be tanking. Her lawyer complains the gun makes it possible for the police to keep her here. Kristen admits it was her mother's so she took it away from her. She had intended to get rid of it. Melinda must now ask if she shot her brother ... Shawn and JJ are shocked that the bullet is now missing. Shawn wonders whether tis at the hospital, which means ... Belle and Kayla now discuss the search for John. Kayla believes Steve will be able to find him. She steps out after she gets a text from JJ. Belle stays with the Salem patient. Her wide eyes are troubled ... - Shin explains to confused Philip that he can call a vote of no confidence that does not allow EJ or Kristen to vote. Then Shin will have her proxy. Xander realizes they could get her ousted and then Shin can approve the Titan takeover. Now they must call all the board members. Tis time to act ... After checking a post-op room Kayla finds the bullet for Shawn and JJ, who conclude they will get their answers soon ... Kristen is no stranger to the law and will not confide completely in her lawyer ... Meanwhile Gabi remembers reaching for the DiMera door, gun in hand. Here come Xander and smug Philip, who leer they own everything in her office now ... Belle sits back down beside EJ and strokes his sleeping face. Then she gasps I do loooove you.
