Wednesday, August 15, 2012 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. LINK ONLY! posted on August 14 early afternoon est THE FINAL CURTAIN - As they survey the scene, Hope reminds dismayed Dan that Nicole is not there. He cannot believe both Mel and now Nicole have vanished. Bo finds an opening and realizes Nicole might have gotten out and headed in the direction of the pub. Hope will call Kayla in the event she shows up there. - In the tunnel, Chad sees the light. Literally. Gabi follows. He curses it is a dead end. Gabi suggests Mel went in this very direction. Chad cries out for Mel and orders Gabi to assist him. - Mel and Brady are trapped as she muses they must get out before the next explosion. What might have happened above ground? What became of their town square? Brady sighs he was supposed to get married at the Town Square. He has a bad feeling he cannot shake and is determined to get out. He shoves a beam against the door and Mel hears a rumbling sound. Brady jumps out of the way. They are soon unconscious together, covered by new debris from the latest cave-in. Outside, Chad works to clear the boards blocking their escape, unaware that they are on the other side. Gabi would rather not stay there as she is scared. He is too, for one more explosion could make this whole place come crashing down on them. Gabi is terrified. More rumbling starts. Inside the dark tunnel, nurse Mel gasps and wakes up with a cough. She tends to Brady, who had shielded her from the cave-in and urges him to wake up. She begs him not to die and gives him mouth to mouth, then pushes on his chest to revive him. "Come on Brady!" - Ian holds the late, limp Madison in his arms and laments it is his fault. He loved no one like he loved her. He cries he lost her all because destroying Stefano seemed more important and tells John it is too late when he suggests she could get help. Still standing, Kate stares. Ian’s hands are covered with Madison’s blood as he moans he tried to help her. John gets sarcastic about his tainted brand of help. Ian snaps it is Brady’s fault it came to this and he will make him pay! John advises him to let the rescue workers clear the debris and search for survivors. Ian leers he is not leaving Madison. Besides, he will not find Brady unless he looks in seedy places. John growls he knew he had done something to him! Ian taunts that poor Madison died believing Brady did not love her and calls him a drug addict. John dangerously warns he will not forget he was the one who got him back on drugs. Ian shouts to leave him alone. John thinks Kate should go too, then takes off to search for Brady. Ian cries to the paramedics who have arrived that this is his wife. Kate glares daggers at him through her tears. - Replay of Jack telling Jen he loves her as the elevator from hell cruelly shuts its doors. Abigail and Jen cannot believe what is happening. Crash boom bang goes the elevator as it snaps and plunges Cam holds crying Abigail as Jen bangs on the door, begging for God to intervene. Cam offers to go find help. Roman now arrives and gets an update from the anxious women. He insists they stay put and tries to use his radio. Cam frowns as Jen and Abigail call Jack’s name. He clearly knows no one could have survived. Roman is unable to make contact with anyone but stops Abigail from going down. He insists Cam remain and ensure they stay put. Abigail cries on her mother’s shoulder. Jen’s eyes are filled with tears of dread. - In the ballroom of rubble, Bo assures Dan that the rescue workers will keep looking. A woman is heard and he soon uncovers not Nicole, but another woman who is about to go into shock. The medicine man stays to help and check her for injuries. She thanks him. "I'm Dr. Jonas," he says. Once the paramedics have taken her away, she thanks him. Hope will head back to the pub to check on the others. She kisses Bo, who goes on to praise Dan for his doctoring skills. Dan is once again a man on a mission. He intends to find Nicole! - Ian walks numbly outside and looks down at Madison's blood on his hands. Kate follows closely behind, unnoticed, her footsteps fast and purposeful. Ian staggers back to the hotel room and gets himself a drink. He lifts some of Madison’s pearls with a sigh and recalls he bought her these in Paris. He drinks to dull the pain, seemingly oblivious to the gash on his forehead and inhales the scent of Madison’s clothing. He flashes back to telling her he will always love her, when she agreed she would never forget what they had but it was time to move on. Back to stark reality. He woefully wonders why he let her go. “Because you’re an evil son of a bitch!” hisses Kate. - Brady soon comes to and wonders what happened. Mel informs him there was yet another cave-in. He is determined to get up and find his Madison. Mel insists he rest while she keeps digging. He shows her where there is less rubble and she gets to it. He sits up and insists he feels fine. She helps him up. He warns they need to proceed with caution as a few little stones fall. She keeps removing the debris that blocks their exit. Outside, Chad refuses to listen to hysterical Gabi, claiming he has a feeling. They hear another cave-in and Gabi now succeeds in ushering him away. - Abigail and Jen wait with Cameron, who assures them that there is always hope. Roman eventually returns with a long face. He is very sorry. The paramedics said he died instantly. "Daddy!" sobs hysterical Abigail to her crying mother. A woman appears and exclaims that her son is bleeding and needs help. Cam is so sorry but must go help with Roman. Jen and Abigail hug each other as Abigail wails they just got him back. Jen gasps Oh God and she is sorry as she quietly cries,her heart breaking. Abigail woefully wonders how they will tell JJ. Jen will take care of that. Abigail cries she had the greatest dad in the world. - Brady is out of breath as he gets back to moving boards aside. He is worried but Mel assures him his girl Madison must be fine. She teases he can tell his kids their marriage started with a bang. She now gets upset about his being in rehab and is ready to panic about Chad and Gabi being lost. Brady hushes and holds her. Meanwhile Chad wants to keep looking for Mel and Brady in the maze of tunnels. Gabi stumbles after him. - Ian snaps at Kate to leave him alone. She sarcastically notes he is in need and pours herself a drink, proposing a toast to SOBs getting what they deserved. He gasps she died. She coldly states she is sorry and suddenly throws the booze in his face. He screams to get out. She wants him to grieve like she did when she lost Stefano. He destroyed everything and is not worthy to lick Stefano’s boots! She replenishes her drink and laments she is just as bad as he was, for she was deluded by him, only to discover she had been used by him. She cries she will not curl up and die. Her eyes flashing with anger, she announces she will make his life a living hell. Ian drawls nothing can be as horrible as this night and doubts she can do anything. Kate admits that Stefano was truly the love of her life. Ian quips he blackmailed her into the marriage and did not even have to pay for her services. She slaps him and calls him a bastard. Perhaps she will play Medea and seek revenge. He reminds her that she easily fell into his bed, then rages it is despicable and unforgivable that she said such things on the night Madison died. She thinks what he did to her is more unforgivable. He taunts he used her from the start, just as Stefano did for the past three years, 24 hours a day. Kate, who had been ready to leave, pauses at the door, her eyes narrowing like a cat. - Jen and Abigail walk slowly downstairs, their arms around each other. Abigail remarks that he always used to come back. Flashbacks of Jack’s dramatic return to Jen are shown. She sniffles and Abigail begs her to say he is not gone. Jen cries she wishes she could. Abigail sobs. Jen reminds her he loved her so much and shuts her eyes as they hug. Abigail remembers their poignant last moment and decides he must have known they were really saying goodbye. Cam returns and she hugs him. She asks about the injured boy. He will be alright. But what happened? There was a gas leak, which led to the explosions. Jen bravely asks to see Jack. He is not sure it is presently possible but will check for her. Jennifer now perceives that Abigail has a gash on her arm. Cam will take her to the pub for treatment. Jen assures them she will be fine alone. Once they are gone, she raises her eyes to the heavens and cries. Adrienne and Justin arrive. Justin wonders what they can do.
