She slips the gun back in her purse. He wonders why she is there. She replies it is a beautiful night. He sarcastically states this is where they first met. He thinks she looks beautiful. She starts to leave and he stops her. What is she hiding in the bag? She quips it is not his business, but he could not help but notice it was something with a glint. A 38 gun. He suspects she was about to toss it into the water. She does not deny it and suggests they go about their own business. EJ informs "sweetheart" that his instincts tell him she wants to protect one of his enemies. Who is it? She snaps she is protecting him from himself! He doubts it and believes she is protecting the person who intended to use that gun against him. It must be Brady. He demands to know what he had in mind. Tay finally admits she did get the gun from Brady. EJ frowns. She explains she only wished to prevent a DiMera/Kiriakis bloodbath. Brady merely had the gun to protect himself from possible retaliation. EJ accuses her of telling Brady that he remembered seeing Melanie and thus tipped him off. He rages she is putting herself in Brady's corner. She calls him a jerk. How could he not expect Brady to be upset about his drug operation being responsible for Arianna's death. EJ flashes back to Brady getting mad about him ruining Arianna's life and adding he will not let him ruin Tay too. That was when he felt the first blow. He now realizes what Brady's secret agenda was. Taylor. Back to reality. Taylor continues to tell him off and implores him to let this go before it is too late. - At the pub, lovebirds Will and Gabi enter. Sonny is seated at a table and asks if they smoothed things over with T. Not exactly. Sonny invites Gabi to go to the baseball game with him, as he still has an extra ticket, now that T will not be attending. Gabi suggests he take Will and gets to work. She just knows how much Will loves baseball! Will reminds her there was that poetry festival thing at Salem U. Gabi insists he should go anyway and have a good time. Will grins. Looks like they are going to a ball game! Sonny smiles, too. He happily suggests next time they get three tickets to get Gabi into baseball as well. Will laughs that would be impossible. When Sonny steps away, T approaches and warns Will that Sonny just wants to go with a guy! Will sticks up for Sonny and accuses T of insinuating he was a pervert. He though T was better than that. One more snide comment about Sonny and they will take this outside! T bitterly retorts he can go have fun with Sonny and storms off. Sonny has come back and observes. - Outside, Kinsey is amazed how calm her idol Chloe is about her big singing date. Ring ring! Tis Quinn. He summons Chloe to a meeting. And she will show up if she knows what is good for her! - At the club, Kate approaches Quinn and shows him Chloe's singing ad. She wants him to do something to nip the job in the bud, but he is not interested. She insists Chloe is making a fool of herself and also of him. Quinn retorts he will not help her destroy the girl and walks off. Kate sighs now even her pimp is her Galahad. She will have to do something on her own! - Nicole enters the Kiriakis mansion and finds Brady lying unconscious. She calls for help and begs him to say something. Brady sits up and moans, as the back of his head hurts. Nicole wonders if EJ hit him with that hideous vase. No. T'was her sister Taylor! Nicole now learns what Brady was up to and declares she is glad her sister stopped him. She would have done the same! She recalls the last DiMera/Kiriakis war, when Tony died and Phillip was almost killed. They conclude that Taylor might be with EJ now. As Brady drinks, Nicole recounts how EJ did not mention revenge to her and does not seem to have told Stefano anything. Perhaps he is trying to change. Brady gets sarcastic and calls her another woman who is EJ besotted. - Kate strolls along, pondering her next move. She needs some leverage against Quinn and remembers she recently saw him with Vivian. She enters the Cheatin Heart and spies Gus drinking alone. She approaches and suggests he buy her a drink. He is not interested. She will buy him one. He refuses and warns her he will tell her nothing. Kate murmurs she has no interest in Vivian and her schemes. Her interest is in him! Gus quips he is not stupid enough to have a dalliance with the wife of Stefano DiMera. She, however, has something else in mind. An offer ... - At the club, Quinn reminds Chloe that he manages her career and she should have come to him first, as he already booked her for tomorrow night. Chloe refuses to play, as the social worker is coming. Quinn insists they have a problem. However, they can reschedule and she can entertain the client tonight. Chloe points out she has a rehearsal. Quinn reminds her if she turns her back on his tax free money, she will have no means of supporting her kid. Chloe does not fight him on it. He later instructs her to go upstairs to the waiting john ... - Down at the pier, Tay recalls how EJ did the right thing for his kids. Her mother was an innocent person who died because she crossed paths with the DiMeras. And if a war is not averted, there will be even more casualties. EJ points out Mel was guilty of obstruction of justice. What about that?! Tay implores him to take the high road and do what is right. She knows he can, as she did fall in love with him.
