LINK ONLY! posted on August 23 2:39 pm Toronto time ABOUT LAST NIGHT - Sami comes back to the apartment and tells a surprised Will she is back with one story to tell! He hopes she did not break out of jail. She explains Roman got her an early bail hearing. EJ, on the other hand, must temporarily remain in jail for fleeing even though Stefano is not really dead! Will is caught off guard by the news. Sami flashes back to kissing EJ, and Rafe wondering why she threw their love away. Back to reality. She admits her confusion to Will! She puts frozen food on her sore wrist and babbles, then complains about Rafe. Will wonders what about him. Sami laments he was his usual self, then asks about Will. He claims he is fine. She praises him for being a rock. He doubts it and flashes back to his tryst with Gabi. They now discuss the kids. Sami senses he is not telling her something about himself. He notes the same can be said of her. The talk turns to Carrie. Will concludes Rafe might still be upset about her departure. Sami retorts that is HIS problem! - At the pub, Maggie finds Victor and asks whether he has seen Mel. The Greek tycoon has just gotten off the phone with Daniel. Madison is in fact dead. The redhead sits down in shock. They are both very concerned about Brady, who has known since it happened. He told no one and kept her name off the list of victims. It has been two days ... - Mel rings the doorbell of the grand Kiriakis mansion and woefully hugs Brady about losing Madison, which she just heard about from her father. Unshaven Brady numbly insists he is fine. They sit and talk. He informs her that he did not want to have his beloved Madison’s name included on the list of the dead. Mel understands what it is to be in denial. After Nick, she experienced nightmares, which she fears could still return! Brady consoles her with an embrace but she insists she should be comforting him instead. She becomes teary-eyed that he was saving her, which was when Madison was lost in the explosion. Brady silences her, and wants her to realize it was not her fault. She woefully listens. - At the town square, emotional Julie meets with Lucas and informs him that Nick might be getting out, as he has a parole hearing. She thinks it is good news but Lucas wonders if Mel knows. Julie explains the parole board did send her a letter, which she assumes she has read. Lucas notes he kidnapped her once upon a time. Julie suggests they speak to Mel to make sure their Nick can be released. It would be a great help if Mel could be on his side. She points out he was on those prescriptions drugs at the time he behaved badly. Lucas does not think Julie should expect Mel to forget what transpired. Julie wants her to at least not stand in their Nick’s way and assumes since they did not hear anything, she has no objections. Lucas does not feel she is being realistic. Julie argues that Maggie helped Melanie get her life back together and they are all family now. Lucas does not want her to be disappointed, since poor Mel will surely not be keen to relive that nightmare. - Kate arrives at Chad’s place and suggests he sit down. She bears wonderfully dramatic news - as it turns out, his father is alive! Chad accuses her of lying. She declares that the phoenix has indeed risen again and hands him a note from his father. Chad accepts it and sits down. Kate updates him on what EJ discovered about evil Ian. He is upset to hear that Stefano has left the hospital without a word to him. She urges him to just read the note. He does. He is going away for a brief time to regroup but shall return. Kate wants to know what he said about her. Chad mutters he warned him to stay steer clear of her. Now hurt, Kate decides she delivered the letter, all that matters is Stefano is alive, and departs. She pauses alone outside the door, her heart breaking. - Gabi sits on her bed and remembers her tryst with Will. Rafe knocks on the door and she opens it, then throws her arms around her big brother. He is sorry he was not there for her and loves his sister. She loves him too and asks how he is. He muses he has been busy doing stuff, fighting crime, and arrested his ex-wife! Flabbergasted Gabi asks why. He coldly states Sami broke the law. Rafe is truly sorry he was not there for his sister. She thinks it was for the best. He disagrees and voices his relief that the stalker guy is gone. He wonders how he became obsessed with her. She would rather not think about that now, then wonders if Will is aware he arrested Sami. Probably. She assumes that felt strange. Rafe flashes back to being close to Sami, then declares he was doing his job. - Back at the pub, Maggie updates Victor on Nick’s possible parole. He grumbles the timing could not be worse! She will talk to Mel about the matter soon but first they must go see Brady. - Victor and Maggie arrive at the mansion and tell Brady how sorry they are. Brady informs them that Mel came by too, on her way to work. She understood his pain and shared what she experienced because of Nick. It almost destroyed the poor girl. Victor sighs. Maggie stares. - At the nurse’s station, nurse Mel and head nurse Maxine tease each other. Maxine exclaims she has missed her and they share a big hug. - Gabi asks Rafe about Carrie, then finds out she left for Switzerland with Austin. Rafe explains it is for the best. Gabi notes he is all alone. Rafe sighs and does not deny it. - Back at the apartment, Sami is dismayed the kids are still asleep. She wants some hugs and kisses! Will grins he let them stay up too late. She perceives he is tired too. He points out at least he did not spend the night in jail. He is on his way to see Gabi. Sami is pleased for him that they have managed to keep their friendship. Will agrees they are ... friends. He is curious whether Lucas is aware that she has returned. Not yet and she suspects that conversation will not go well. Will suspects he made him mad too. Sami stammers she cannot undo what she did. It is always complicated between her and Rafe. "You mean you and dad," corrects Will. Sami nervously quips that is what she meant. Will now takes his leave, to discuss a certain matter with Gabi ... Read Part 2 of About Last Night ...! |
