AMERICAN IDOL PART 1 - Kinsey is on her phone, explaining to T that she has other plans and will not be getting together again. Besides, he was not all that good! She enters the Cheatin Heart and overhears Chloe gushing on the phone about getting ready. The teen flashes back to what she saw in the hall of the hotel. Chloe wonders what is the matter. Kinsey would like to know if that creepy guy she saw her with was actually paying her for sex. Chloe pretends she met him on a dating website and accepted his money as she is desperate to get her son back. "I had to get paid." She is mortified Kinsey knows. Kinsey promises not to tell anyone. Chloe is not sure what to say. Kinsey understands she is doing this for her child. Chloe insists she will go legit as soon as she can. Matter of fact, she is soon leaving for her first singing appearance in Brookville. Kinsey is sorry about her bad timing and tries to make amends with her idol by offering her a lift. Chloe appreciates the moral support. If all goes well tonight, maybe she will be able to spend time with her son soon! - At the mansion, Kate is on the phone, instructing Randy what to do when he exposes Chloe. She will meet him shortly, to give him his ticket. She muses she will do whatever it takes to keep her grandson away from his degenerate mother. After tonight, it is all over! She starts to exit and runs into Chad. He is there to see her! She explains she has a meeting but he explains he needs to confront her. He suspects she set him up to look bad to Abigail when she arranged for him to pass a message to Stefano's flunky. It had better not happen again! - Jen is exasperated at the pub, as she has exhausted all possibilities on leads on Carly. Abigail gets her a coffee and tries to make her feel better. Jen still feels badly about withholding information from Dan and ruining things. Abigail is curious if she will tell the doctor how she feels. Jen does not think so but Abigail insists she should! - At the hospital, Mel reassures Dan, who is having no luck finding any information on Carly. A nurse comes along and pipes up that she has information! Carly called and informed her she was taking time off, though she did not say where she was. Dan and Mel try to be optimistic. Perhaps she is trying to regroup. Mel points out the photo might not have gone as viral as originally assumed. Dan solemnly states she needs to detox and get into recovery. Mel sighs she will not feel better until she is well again. Papa Dan hugs her reassuringly. - Vivian and Gus are visiting Lawrence's grave. Viv recounts how her son finally helped avenge his death. She cannot imagine what she would have done without him! Gus reminds her how much he has done for her with her revenge fantasies. She reminds him that he only works for her. Family is different. She decides to pay a visit to her son and meet the girl in his bed, too! She wishes to prevent him from making the same mistake with a woman that Lawrence did. When Viv takes off, Gus mulls over accepting Kate DiMera's lucrative offer ... - Meanwhile, Carly is having horrific flashbacks and nightmares. Quinn gently wakes her up and asks if she is alright. Carly is in bad shape, experiencing the worst of withdrawal. He tucks her in, then calls and orders his man to guard the guest in his room and not let her leave. Carly stirs. Quinn explains he must head out, though she may remain. She thinks he is being generous. He points out she needed help and must stay clean. She came too close to overdosing last night. Exit Quinn after suggesting she get some sleep. He will be back soon. Carly sits up and shakily stands, perspiring profusely. She starts to walk and falls down. She sits up and imagines seeing Daniel, who rages at her, followed by Mel. They have harsh words for her. She ruined everything and they are through with her! She implores them to stay but they start to leave. "It's too late," coldly states Dan. Carly now wakes up and crawls back into bed, crying. What if it is all true?! - Kate and Quinn meet up at the pier. He drawls this is the last time she will be getting in his business! She attempts to dismiss him. Easier said than done. Quinn already knows she was there to meet his client Randy. He warns her not to use his people for her dirty work. He now hands her back the money she gave Randy and also him. As far as he is concerned, they were never in business together! Kate glares daggers. - Chad and Abigail enter the pub together and she is pleased he called out the evil Kate. They spy upset Mel sitting alone and Chad encourages her to talk to her. Abigail approaches in time to overhear Mel tell Dario on the phone that her mom got in touch with the hospital. She adds to Abigail that she still knows not whether she is alright or when she will be back! - At the hospital, Jen hears Dan talking about Carly's call and deduces he was not even going to tell her. She suggests they work together to find a way to learn if Carly is alright, for their friend's sake ... - Viv shows up at Quinn's hotel room and knocks loudly, demanding they open the bloody door!
