He wonders WOT is the matter. “Everything,” she gasps, still holding him, her eyes glazed over. He grins naughtily. She declares she cannot do this and turns away. He does not understand. Is he pressuring her? No. He teases he will take his time and nuzzles her neck. She breathes heavy as he murmurs he hoped they could pick up where they left off at the safe house. Sami insists they simply cannot! He had thot ... She knows... He teases she might not be attracted to him anymore. She laughs and tells him to stop kidding. However, things were not real in the safe house. Perhaps it had to do with the intensity of their predicament. Now she is home and must deal with certain matters. He urges her to be direct about whether her feelings have changed. Negative. Then what can he do to make her life easier? She exclaims she must focus on the children and do what is best for them, their sense of security. He points out they both put the children first, it is a given. Sami nervously gets a vase for the flowers and sighs out she cannot jump from Lucas to EJ so quickly. The children would not understand. EJ suspiciously questions who she is really thinking of ... - Rafe joins Brady at the pub and offers his condolences about Madison. Brady thanks him and is sorry for him as well, for his loss. Rafe purses his lips. - At the hospital, busy Dr. Dan is at work, leaving a message for Maggie. He will touch base with her later about a pal who needs a place to stay. Dr. Cam now updates him on the patients as he has just finished his shift. Dan casually asks about Abigail. Cam replies he got a text from her that she and Jen have landed. Matter of fact, they should be home soon. Dan stares. - Jen tenderly looks at Jack’s picture on the mantelpiece and hopes her love is now at peace. Enter Abigail with visitor Will, who hugs her and says how sorry he is. He later confers with Abigail about how Jen is doing. Abigail assures him her mom is strong. He cannot imagine how Abigail is. She is trying to be tough for her mother and appreciates Will being there too. He regrets he was not at the gathering. She wonders why he was unable to attend. Will flashes back to Sonny kissing him and stammers he would rather discuss her. She blinks and announces she is like her dad and does not like others to feel sorry for her. She insists he tell her about himself instead. He pauses. She hopes things are okay. He explains he had not entirely come out. She is curious who he really told first. Marlena, who took it amazingly well. For him it was a huge event, yet it was a non-issue for her. Abigail is not surprised to hear it, for he is still the same person. Will shares that he did not have a chance to figure out what being gay meant. She asks if he feels different. He softly states a part of him has changed. Abigail realizes he has met someone. - At the coffee house, Sonny hugs mama Adrienne and is sorry about Jack. She asks how he is and touches his face. Papa Justin told her he had a fight. Sonny muses she should see the other guy. Sonny’s admirer now comes up behind him and teases him. Adrienne wonders if Sonny will introduce them. Sonny smiles and introduces his mother to Brian. He suggests he get them some lattes on the house. Brian goes to do just that. Adrienne thinks he seems nice, then discreetly decides to give them their privacy and get back to her book. Sonny sighs. - At the town square, Jen is on the phone with son JJ. She loves him and will see him soon. She is trying to fight back the tears. Friend Billie approaches her with a hug and asks how things are. Jen updates her on the kids.They exchange I love yous. Billie assures her things will be fine. Jen thanks her. Billie walks away. Jen now comes face to face with Dan. Their eyes lock. - Rafe assumes Brady was referring to the fact that he arrested Sami. Brady notes he was actually referring to Carrie leaving town with Austin. It must have hurt. Rafe casually states it was the best thing for her. He asks about Brady. Brady calmly assures him he is not using and intends to stay clean in memory of Madison, who helped him overcome. She remains in his heart and mind and it is tough to let go.Rafe is sympathetic. - Brian and Sonny sit on the couch at the coffee house and Sonny jokes he impressed his mom. Adrienne watches in approval as Brian tries to get Sonny to go out with him. - Sami insists to EJ that she must be mature for the sake of her children. She will not jump into something she is not yet ready for. EJ wonders whether this is about Carrie. Sami denies it. He points out she was earlier involved with Rafe. Sami quips she was just bored for 5 minutes. She gets sarcastic about ever mending fences with the Swiss miss. EJ thinks it is just as well she left, given that Rafe is having a baby with Nicole. Sami is surprised he is suddenly being so cavalier about it. What changed? - Will admits to Abigail that there is indeed someone. He blushes that he thinks he cares about him. Abigail realizes Will has not told his crush that he is into him. Will stammers he is not quite comfortable with himself. Abigail encourages him to share his feelings with the mystery guy. Will gets a message. She thanks him for coming and he exits. Cam arrives and she smiles she is better now that he is here. They embrace. - EJ will only say that Nicole is insisting it is Rafe’s baby. Until he can prove otherwise ... Sami concludes it is complicated. EJ does not deny it. Will now calls Sami as he heard EJ was released. She promptly hands EJ the phone. William would like to meet for an important discussion, EJ agrees and ends the call. He teases Sami with air kisses her and promises to continue their conversation later. Sami sighs and smiles slightly as he departs. - At the coffee house, Sonny and Brian are still comfortably sitting on the sofa. Sonny seems to agree to go see a popular indie band with him. Meanwhile, Victor arrives and runs into Adrienne. He turns and spies Sonny with his new friend. Adrienne urges the Greek tycoon to be nice. - At the town square café, Will and EJ catch up. Will had assumed he would be happier about being a real DiMera. EJ solemnly reminds him that he is his own man. Will can relate. He explains that is precisely how he felt when he started working for him. However, he can no longer work for him. He has been so involved in his life that he has been ignoring his own. EJ is listening. - Brian stands up to go see about the tickets. Vic approaches and Sonny introduces them. The Greek tycoon is gracious. Once they are alone, he brings up Sonny’s attack, and is pleased to her about the retaliation. He acted like a true Kiriakis! He now mentions his friend, who seems nice as well as good looking. Sonny agrees. Vic steps away with a grin to get himself a good espresso. - Sami is all alone at the apartment, considering her options. She flashes back to kissing EJ, Rafe saying she threw away their love, Lucas angrily demanding to know whether she wanted him or EJ. Sami is exasperated. What is the matter with her! She decides she will concentrate only on what is important for the first time in her life ... - Rafe is back at the station, ready to dig into his work files, when he is dismayed to discover he forgot his phone at the pub ...
