She insists she is happy, for EJ has promised her it is over. Brady gets sarcastic about EJ changing. Tay insists it is true. The vendetta is dead. Brady calls her gullible and reminds her the last time he lied to her and she believed him. Tay acknowledges she was gullible cos she did not want to lose him. However, this time is different. The vendetta is over. He is free! Brady drawls "Free to do what?" To find true love ... - Outside the pub, replay of EJ assuring Nicole there will be no revenge. She wonders if she should believe him. He retorts she does not know him as well as she thinks. Nicole claims she does and she can now see in his eyes that he speaks the truth. EJ thanks her and drawls she can get back to her friends. She is worried about Brady. He becomes sarcastic. She wonders if he will be able to convince Brady he will not seek revenge! They go inside and discuss. EJ explains he is trying to change and he would take a lie detector test if the Brady pub had one! Nicole knows this is no hoax. He points out he does not want a senseless war, for his children's sake. Nicole thanks him for not having the man she loves killed and departs. EJ's face falls ... - At the Kiriakis mansion, Maggie does not understand why Victor is cancelling their date. It is rude and hurtful. Sonny would like to speak to Victor, but is dismissed. Maggie simply refuses to be blown off without an explanation. Vic remains cryptic and mysterious and reminds her there are aspects of his business he cannot discuss with anyone. Maggie sadly starts to leave. He stops her and emotionally declares she is the best thing that has ever happened to him. He kisses her. She believes him and cries can he tell her he is not in any danger? He promises her it will be fine. She agrees they can reschedule. Exit Maggie, after confessing she is cutting him slack as she is crazy about him. Outside the door, she pauses and laments the lies are starting ... - At the DiMera mansion, Stefano orders Marco to have all his men on high alert, due to his big meeting with Victor. And Brady's attack will be avenged! He suspects Kiriakis wishes to set a trap, but growls he will find out what it means to cross a DiMera! Chad peers through the slightly ajar door. Stefano sees him. Chad realizes that they are busy with personal business. Stefano gets rid of Marco and decides his son deserves to know what happened. The attack on EJ must be dealt with. Can he count on him? Chad replies he can. Stefano sends him to meet a man and give him money. Chad takes the money and assures him he can count on him. He exits. When Marco comes back, Stefano wants a tail on both his sons, and he wants to make sure they do not recognize the man. Meanwhile, Chad has come back to the door, and overhears Stefano telling thug Marco there was a reason Elvis did not confide in him. Chad sighs he does not comprehend what is going on and exits. - Sami is tidying up the loft and finds the laughing penguin, her favorite thing. Enter Rafe. She is glad to see the sweetest guy in the world and recalls how he found the toy for her way back when. Rafe chuckles. They kiss. He was caught in traffic and wanted to get home faster. Sami admits she herself has not been home long. She dropped off the kids for sleepovers and Sydney is with Caroline. Meanwhile, Will is expected home late. What will they do? Rafe drawls they will think of something and they start to kiss passionately. They fall on the sofa. He remembers something he has to do. Johnny's train needs to be fixed and he already promised him he would do it. - Mel is with Maggie at Horton house. The redhead updates her on Vic cancelling their date and not saying why. Mel offers to ask him. Maggie says no. She fears something serious is going on,. Mel becomes silent. Maggie asks what she knows. Mel admits last night EJ was very close to figuring out Brady was has attacker and Brady was aware of it. Maggie realizes the two families must be mobilizing! - At the mansion, Victor is having a meeting and drinks with his man Dmitri. He feels that Stefano will back down when he dangles a few business offers. Sonny returns and wants to talk. He updates Victor on his job with the DA's office. Victor thinks he knows what he is doing and drawls he will make sure his grand-nephew does not have to do too much work in the coming weeks. Sonny senses something is about to happen ... - Down at the pier, Brady gets sarcastic about true love. He asks Tay to point him in the right direction. He quietly asks if she knows who the girl of his dreams could be, then teases her. Tay smiles she did have someone in mind ... Ring ring! Brady answers the phone and coldly asks EJ how he is. EJ suggests a meeting. Brady sarcastically agrees. EJ summons him to a forest clearing by the lake. "You got it, chief!" Brady snaps, taking off before Taylor can stop him. - Back at Horton house, Mel leaves another message for Brady. Maggie is extremely worried. Mel tries to be optimistic. Perhaps it is not so dire. The redhead sighs the writing is on the wall for her and Victor. And to think they just got started! This is not good. She needs to locate Victor and ask him a direct question, for which she expects a direct and honest answer! She exits before Mel can stop her ... - At the mansion, Marco assures Stefano the car is very ready. The DiMera patriarch walks out, muttering about retribution ... - Chad and Sonny run into each other at the pub. Chad is desperate to find EJ. Sonny knows something is going on between their families. That is precisely why Chad wants to find EJ. He explains Brady was EJ's attacker and the DiMeras know.
