She gasps she tried to warn him. Stefano covers his mouth with a hand, his eyes filled with shock. Marco stares in disbelief. Victor cradles whimpering Maggie in his arms and calls Stefano a son of a bitch. Look what he has done! Stefano starts to grumble about it being a matter of time, given what Victor has done and whips out his phone. Victor growls her blood is on the hands of the phoenix. Stefano calls for an ambulance and walks off. Victor consoles crying Maggie and urges her to hang on. Sirens are head. "Dear God, why did you have to come down here?!" murmurs the upset tycoon. - Taylor approaches Nicole at the Cheatin Heart, hoping to talk about her sister and Brady. Nicole looks suspicious. Tay reminds her of the past, how Brady stood by her, and that she once said she loved him. Nicole sighs it was a long time ago. They discuss Sydney. Nicole admits Syd was why she left Brady. But it is true, he was the only man who ever really cared about her and respected her. Sydney was a make believe daughter! Tay continues to push her toward a reconciliation with Brady and insists they belong together. Nicole thinks they cannot go back. Tay replies his reaction told her otherwise. Nicole gets mad at her meddling. "You slept with my husband, you gave up the right to give me advice! You gave up the right to pretend you care!" She suspects this is really all about Taylor. Tay says she gives up. Nicole warns her not to run any interference in her life. Besides, Brady hates to be told what to do. Tay assures her she will not let it happen again and starts to leave, clearly hurt. "Wait," decides Nicole. - At the forest clearing, Brady and EJ surmise Chad and Sonny showed up to prevent them from killing each other. EJ confesses he had indeed intended to kill Brady after he learned he attacked him. Brady thinks this must have been a trap and the two guys showing up prevented it. EJ shakes his head. He has learned to control himself. Brady gets sarcastic and brings up Arianna. Chad asks if it is true he was responsible for her death. EJ laments he was responsible for the series of events which led to her demise but would change that if he could. Brady starts to get mad about not finishing him off. He still wants him dead regardless. EJ tells the "big man" that Mel saved them both, so they should honor it. He summoned him here to join him in ending the feud. Brady drawls Taylor said he changed. He wonders if she is right. EJ retorts she is not ... - At the hospital, nurse Mel is at work and runs into papa Dan. She wants to make copies of the composite of the last man seen with Carly. Jen steps up and agrees they need to find Carly as soon as possible. Dan wonders if she heard something. Mel fears it is bad news. Jen explains the damning photograph of Carly has shown up on a gossip website, not to mention that the hospital award has been revoked. Her job could be at risk! But Jen has an idea. Moments later, she sits Mel down in her office as Dan watches. She urges her to talk into the camera and tell the truth, how her mom needs her help. As a former reporter, she is aware of the power of such appeals. The camcorder is now turned on. Mel stammers, begging her mother to come back, as nothing else matters. She asks her to call the number and cries. Dan hugs her and thanks Jen. Knock knock! Tis nurse Maxine with the news that Maggie Horton was shot. The gang race into the ICU. The bullet might be lodged in her lung. Dr. Dan takes it from there and attends to the patient. Mel stares numbly and starts to gasp. Jen sees Victor outside the room and he implores her to make them save Maggie. - Outside the Brady pub, Quinn's dealer is with Quinn when Carly calls, demanding drugs. He tells the boss. Quinn drawls to give them to her! The dealer promises to get them to her right away. Carly yells "When!" and he hangs up. Quinn now asks his man for a favor. - Carly is in her room shakily about to pop some pills. She gasps what is she doing and flashes back to Mel trying to help her. She assures herself it was only a dream and lies on the bed, wishing the withdrawal to stop. Quinn returns and Carly seems to have taken the pills she was delivered. Quinn coolly informs her he shook up the man who dropped them off. Did she really take the pills? No answer. He now states they were not real. Carly realizes they were placebos. Quinn explains he paid the dealer to substitute them. Carly calls him a bastard and tosses the pill bag at him. She claims she knew that. Quinn points out she seemed surprised to hear they were sugar pills. She calls him a son of a bitch and random jerk. He sarcastically offers to get the dealer to give her a fix and let her O.D. She is lucky he turned up when he did. She was only all talk about wanting to turn her life around! Carly snaps he does not get it. "Try me!" says he. Carly gets upset. She knows what he really thinks of her. Quinn follows her to the door and assures her she is not a burden. He wants to help her. He woefully states he cares about her and wants her to stay. Carly cries she put her faith in a stranger. He points out she did not have much of a choice ... - EJ announces he is in the process of trying to change, that is what he meant. Brady took his revenge on him for Arianna, now they should end this. Brady's eyes narrow as he notes he sounds serious. EJ dramatically declares that for the sake of their families, the bad blood simply must end now! - At DiMera mansion, Stefano has just arranged for the jet to be fueled and rages at his man Marco that it is over for him! - At the hospital, Dr. Dan is wearing his gloves and insists he needs Mel to be strong. She pulls herself together. - At the Cheatin Heart, Nicole admits to Tay she might have overreacted. Tay agrees not to meddle again. However, Nicole wishes to know what Brady said about her. They call a truce and Nicole agrees to buy her a drink. Tay is hopeful, as Brady had said he makes his decisions on his own. That indicates he has not given up on them. Nicole calls herself a screw-up. Matter of fact, she is the only one to blame for her problems, for she is the queen of bad choices. She realizes Tay merely fell in love and that is never a choice ... - Outside the pub, Brady thanks Sonny for what he did. Is there anything he can do for him? Yes. He wants everyone to be safe. Brady thinks it might be possible now and glances at EJ and Chad having coffee inside. His phone rings ... - Stefano instructs Marco to go to the airport, take the money, get on the plane, and NEVER come back! Exit somber Marco. But sending away the henchman will not be enough ...
