Everett wonders why Chad wants the sinking paper. Chad vows to make it a success ... Teresa has her hoodie in a bag and pushes it into the public trash by the park. Here come Brady and Tate. Brady gets sarcastic. She lies she was looking for the phone she accidentally tossed with the coffee cup and pretends to find said phone ... - Brady wants to talk to Teresa about Tate's boarding school. She has been giving him the blow off. Meanwhile the young man in question is standing nearby listening to his music. Brady is exasperated about Teresa's argumentative attitude. Alex steps up and suggests he is the one arguing so she winks at her honey ... Everett explains he has many deadlines. Chad is impressed with his journalistic ability. Everett is sarcastic. When he hears Stephanie left Chad he is neither surprised nor sorry ... Steph slurs about her bad romance. Jada intends to take her romance slow and the ladies toast to that ... Stefan returns to the restaurant in his elegant coat and Harris wishes him and Ava luck with the opening. He leaves and hothead Stefan complains about the creepy call from Clyde ... Everett pours himself a coffee and reminds Chad that as per Steph things were not great between them when he got to Salem. He warns him he will not be able to manipulate smart Steph. Chad boasts but he is in charge here now and uses the R word. Ruthless. He glares at him and Everett responds with a sarcastic coffee slurp ... - Teresa gets sarcastic about Brady wanting Tate to return to boarding school. Tate now wants to go so Brady leaves with him. Teresa goes on her tree farm date with her recently arrived hero Alex ... Ava wonders what is going on. Stefan gasps Clyde is going to be moving drugs out the back. Ava will refuse. Stefan reminds her this is Clyde they are talking about ... Jada and sloshed Steph giggle about guys and their socks. Jada admits she likes having her own space. The talk turns to breakups so Steph tells her the story of how her ex was in a coma when she assumed he was ghosting her and then he came to Salem. Jada recalls her own ex who seemed to be perfect but was anything but. Steph wants to see a pic. Jada gets out her phone pic of herself in happy days with Everett ... Here comes Harris. The gals want to buy him a drink ... Everett asks Chad about his newspaper experience. Chad replies he has more than Xander or Gwen. Everett gets sarcastic again. Chad points out he plans to make the paper as noble as it was when his beloved Abigail ran it. Everett claims he wants to work together and keep it civil ... - Brady sits at a table with Tate at the square and apologizes for the arguments with Teresa. Tate exclaims Teresa did not want the paperwork required for his old school cos she knows he does not want to go back but his dad did not bother to ask ... Alex has gotten the tree inside. Teresa recalls the lavish Christmases in her childhood and admits she was the black sheep ... Stressed Stefan gasps Clyde warned he would go nuclear if they did not do his bidding. Ava wonders what he wants to do. Stefan rages he threatened Gabi so he will get rid of that perp permanently ... Brady believed his son wanted to go back to boarding school and states Teresa ... Tate stops him from trashing Teresa. Brady promises not to say her name unless tis necessary. Tate agrees ... Alex and Teresa admire the Xmas tree. She wants to pop popcorn and hang mistletoe. Alex, however, needs no excuse for a kiss so she gives him a big one ... - Stefan refuses to be involved in the selling of drugs. The way he talks makes Ava remember Jake and she admits she misses him something awful. He brings up Harris and she gets annoyed. But she accidentally calls Stefan JAKE. Ooooo ... Everett claims he is trying to be cordial and agrees Abigail was a great journalist. Chad now gets a call from Thomas, who has no lunch. The lad hangs up on him. Chad sighs Steph took care of that stuff. Everett is sympathetic ... Steph and Jada tell sober Harris all about their relationships. He downs his beer and wants to go but the gals want to talk socks and cackle ... Ava sarcastically apologizes for calling Stefan Jake just cos they looked alike. Stefan says the only thing in common is he has his heart and warns arguing Ava if he was a nice guy they would not be able to solve their serious Clyde problem. Such a character requires a cutthroat ... Brady senses Tate wants to stay in Salem cos of Holly. Tate sighs she agreed to a date but blew him off so Brady whips out his gold card and tells them to have a good time on him ... - Alex and Teresa have put popcorn on the tree. Alas he has no ornaments, stockings or a fireplace. He happily remembers Victor's big celebrations and accidentally calls Justin his dad. Teresa decides to distract him with a hot kiss and asks him to make loooove ... Steph calls Harris Harry and continues to drown her sorrows ... Alex and Teresa get passionate by the tree ... Tate thanks his dad profusely. Brady says to have a good time. Tate straightens himself and leaves Holly a confident message about the gold card they can use tonight ... Everett has work to do. Chad warns he will be watching him. He still believes he and Steph belong together. Everett reminds him if there had been no accident he and Steph would still be a couple. Chad's parting shot is that he wants his desk back .... Ava assures Stefan that Clyde would not get started now. All of a sudden a goon comes in with cases of mysterious canned tomatoes from Clyde.
