Teresa is walking with ger shopping bags when she gets a call from Konstantin. She refuses to deal with him and ends the call. Brady comes along and gets sarcastic ... Suited purple shirt Stefan curses about Gabi's leg getting busted and rages to Ava at the bistro. He blames Clyde and insists he and Ava stop him ... Brady overhead harsh Teresa and senses trouble. Teresa lies she had a spam caller. Brady asks her to avoid trouble for Tate's sake. She quips Brady is a s-e-x addict. Brady decides he is done and goes on his way ... Steph has no appetite so Everett suggests a walk. She wants to be alone and stomps off. Everett races after her and Chad calls him a stalker. Teresa arrives, wishes Chad a Merry Xmas and steals away Alex ... - Ava sits with Stefan, who sighs Gabi's leg supposedly broke when she slipped and fell but she has done the catwalk so that must be a bogus story. He suspects she was attacked cos of that return shipment. He asks Ava to use Harris for inside intel. She refuses and here comes Harris. Stefan smoothly excuses himself. Harris asks about the opening. Ava replies it went well. Harris now comes clean about getting drunk and kissing drunk Stephanie, who stayed at his place for the night. He assures her it meant nothing and things did not go further. She wonders why the admission. Cos he is seeing her and hopes she will accept his apology. Alas she cannot ... Fatigued Paulina is surprised to open her door to elegant Abe, who asks if she is alright. She is now ... Chad joins drinking Stefan at the pub and wonders what is bugging him. He senses he misses Gabi. Stefan slurs his Gabi is in the slammer with a broken leg but will not say more. He demands the waiter get him another drink. Chad stares ... - Breathless Everett catches up with Steph at a park bench and wonders why she is stressed. She informs him of her and Chad's decision to split. He acts sympathetic and says all the right things. He hopes he can still be her bestie and she smiles ... Alex flirts with stressed Teresa, who is busy at the office. He kisses her as Brady enters. Brady just came to check out everything as this is his first day back at Basic Black. Alex steps away to take a call. Brady warns Teresa no more mess that could affect Tate. He knows something is going on with her. She denies it and claims to be getting ready for the holidays. She suddenly states she has fond memories of their old days and is happy he is there for their son. She wishes him a wonderful Xmas and promises all is well with her. She goes and Brady has even more doubts than he did before ... - Steph is fine being friends. Everett is too as that is all she wants. She likes he is a great listener cos he always makes her feel better. Ditto. The best thing about being in Salem is having her as a friend. He promises no pressure ... Paulina just loves the Christmas cookies that Abe baked! Chanel is in her room wrapping gifts. Paulina is having a hard time writing her mayor's speech and asks for Abe's assistance ... Stefan wants Chad to scram so Chad sits at the next table. Stefan asks about Stephanie. Chad admits they split. Stefan is sympathetic. Chad suggests he confide in him instead of drinking himself into oblivion. Stefan complains about Clyde so Chad jumps up, demanding to know whether that was who went after his DiMera brother and Gabi. Stefan says to drop it but mad Chad does not, smashes a glass and demands the details on that devil that offed his wife. Stefan mutters there are things Clyde is mad about and leaves. Chad bellows that man killed his wife ... - Paulina wants a speech of hope within limitations. Abe praises the spirited soulful woman with a heart of gold and suggests she has a way with words. He tells her to just start writing ... Brady informs curious Alex that Teresa just headed home. He worries about her and hopes Alex will not do her wrong cos she is Tate's mother. Upbeat Alex praises her job performance. He suggests they take their working relationship one day at a time. He heads for home and wishes Brady a great evening but Bady has a bad feeling ... Everett shares a big donut with Steph and suggests she not be so hard on herself. She admits to her career and family ambitions. He tells her she has time. She would rather be a young mom like Kayla. He knows she will be ... Ava explains to Harris she has much at stake with her new position and also feels uneasy about him kissing Stephanie. She has a history of mental illness and must be careful. Harris insists the kiss was nothing but she calls it a deal breaker. Harris deduces they are done and she tells him to leave. Harris sighs and does just that. Ava breaks down in tears ... - Steph continues to talk about herself as Everett continues to humor and flatter her. He wishes her a happy Xmas Eve and they go their separate ways ... Teresa gets another unknown call as she stomps through the park. Tis unseen unheard Andrew who is in Salem and needs to see her. She agrees to wait at the park by Salem's town square ... Stefan returns to Ava and complains the warden is sticking to the story that Gabi fell. He wonders what is the matter. Alas she ended things with great guy Harris ... for his own safety ... Chad pauses at the town square tree and remembers how much Abigail loved the plaque. He blames Clyde for robbing them of her and vows to make him pay ... Abe asks Paulina to read what she wrote. She begins and suggests tis a day to be grateful even in these uncertain times. Let there be peace, joy and hope and Madam Mayor wishes all a joyous holiday.
