A HEARTFELT HORTON CHRISTMAS EVE, FLASHBACKS, AND A DETENTE ...

REAL TIME SEQUENCE + KEY DETAILS!

- Doug and Julie are ready for the Horton tree ornaments hanging. Flashback to the time Alice and Tom presented him with his own ornament and acceptance into the family. He is grateful for his love Julie and tells his darling as he does every year ... While Brady watches disapprovingly, Teresa shows up with a plethora of presents for Tate. Brady has much planned with his big family and hears Tate will be working at the pub so he can avoid them. He implies Teresa is after Alex's money when she boasts they are an item now. Tate hates hearing such things at Christmas ... Thomas and Charlotte go upstairs after saying no thanks to cookies. The little ones are unhappy and Chad admits they miss the late Abigail as well as Stephanie ... Everett has coffee with Steph to talk biz at the square and she assures him she is fine with it. She wonders about his holiday. He explains Hannukah is over and she fondly remembers lighting the minora with him. He pleasantly asks about her plans. Just a holiday movie. He teases her about Rudolph, then remembers Elf. She is having a quiet night alone but will be with family tomorrow ...
- Julie is elated to see Sarah and baby Victoria. Xander cordially thanks her for inviting him. Here comes Maggie with the very questionable Konstantin, who was not exactly on the Horton guest list. Maggie calls him a dear of friend of Victor. He gushes tis an honor to meet the hosts. Doug lowers his voice and informs Julie the man reminded him of his own bad side from years past ... Sarah and Maggie step away for a private chat. Konstantin hopes Xander's child is well. Xander solemnly states she is and questions whether it is thanks to Konstantin or no thanks to him! Doug and Julie watch and wait ... Maggie explains she invited Konstantin. Sarah is still grateful he saved Victoria and is happy to see her mother smiling ... Chad comes back downstairs and admits to Julie it was hard on the kids not having a proper goodbye with Stephanie. Julie insists they change that ... Stephanie is looking forward to watching ELF alone and wishes Everett a nice evening. He says the same and goes on his cordial way ... Chad now calls his ex to ask a favor ...
- Teresa and Brady bicker up a storm. Tate threatens to leave and blasts them for ruining his Christmas Eve. Brady agrees and apologizes. Teresa is also sorry. Brady implores the lad to stay and they promise to have Christmas Eve as a family right here tonight ... Chad greets Stephanie at Horton house with a twinkle in his eye. They both regret there was no proper goodbye with the children. She has gifts and Chad is grateful ... Xander and Sarah admire their sleeping baby. The talk turns to marvelous Maggie. Xander is not keen on Konstantin inserting himself into her life. Sarah believes Maggie can make her own decisions but Xander knows a badass Mediterranean man when he sees one ... Doug and Julie jokingly warn Konstantin there are many Hortons. Maggie proudly shows him the Horton angel and remembers Victor being at her side. She believes he would be happy Konstantin was with them tonight and he nods ...
- Brady and Teresa enjoy memories and Chinese takeout with Tate ... Konstantin grovels to Sarah he is sorry his past was to blame for the sweet baby being snatched. Sarah is grateful he got her back but they will not feel safe for a while. Xander solemnly states they will be keeping their eyes open ... Chad apologizes to Stephanie for the fact that he was not really ready to move on. She is sorry for his and the children's never-ending sorrow. He asks her to go upstairs and seems disappointed when she alludes to not staying. Meanwhile Everett has just arrived as Doug invited him when he saw him at the square ... Thomas and Charlotte happily enter the festive living room with Stephanie, who hugs them. Everett emerges and says Merry Christmas ... Chad suggests the children place their presents under the tree. Everett assures Chad he was invited and hopes it is alright. Chad assures him it is. Julie is impressed Steph came so fast for the kids ... Steph tells the kids who adore her that the best gift is being with them. They hope to see her every Christmas so she promises a party every year. They hug and Chad warmly watches ...
- Maggie updates Konstantin on the meaning of being a Horton. Xander suggests to Sarah he does not belong here. Sarah teases he belongs and they will never put his ornament in the cellar ... Tate complains to Brady that Holly is not into him and dumps the gift he got her in the trash. Teresa retrieves it for the next girl and gives him a pep talk. The subject of school comes up. Brady believes the boarding school would be better for his future. Tate worriedly wonders whether he has to return. Brady glances at Teresa. They conclude tis his decision to make. Tate states he is staying. Brady is happy he will be around ... Horton ornaments old and new are placed on the perfect Horton tree. Maggie gets emotional when she hangs Victor's and Sarah passes the special new one for Victoria to Xander. He hangs it and sighs at the sight of Sarah with their little bundle of joy ... Spoiled Tate has been opening his gifts. Teresa gives him a tablet. He calls this Christmas with his parents the best miracle ... Maggie thanks Julie for the wonderful time. Konstantin oozes his usual European charm ... Chad sees Steph to the door and she says she is here anytime if he needs help with the children. Everett emerges and offers to walk her home. Chad wishes him happy holidays and bids Stephanie a Merry Xmas. Then she leaves with Everett ... Sarah hands Xander the baby and he promises he will see her tomorrow ... At the cold square Konstantin gets in a Merry Christmas to Maggie in Greek and goes back to the Salem Inn. When she walks away his smile morphs into a sinister scowl ... Julie admires the twinkly tree with Doug and they agree Tom and Alice would be proud ...
- Flashback to baby Abby getting her first ornament hung in Tom Horton’s hospital room by Jen. Mickey was with Maggie and Alice was at her hubby’s side. She surprised him with glam Doug and Julie, who came home for the holidays after all. They announced their re-marriage in Switzerland and all rejoiced. Back to the now. Doug and Julie get teary eyed about the endless love and memories that will last forever. Merry Christmas and God bless us every one ...
