Time to sneak a peek inside... Marie remembers how Liz shot her. Liz reminds her she assumed she was an intruder. More bad blood is remembered until Maggie screams to stop ... Belle is teary after listening to friends and Lovers. Marlena assures her she is doing the right thing giving Shawn a little space. Belle will for sure attend today's memorial ... - Julie comes down to Lucas, Shawn, Jen and Ciara going through the baby mementos in the box. Julie is over the moon more family has come home. She opens a box with an expensive diamond necklace that belonged to Alice. Alas now they must get to the church on time to say farewell to Doug. Steven stays behind for a moment and takes a last long look at the necklace that sneaky Alice hid all these years ... - Maggie demands a truce from the divas. They agree to get along for Doug and shake on it. Here come Marlena and Belle. Once outside the church Belle is approached by Shawn who seems happy to see her. Julie thanks all the guests for coming. Marlena tells her the priest is ready. She looks at the picture of smiling Doug and takes a deep breath. The father warmly welcomes all as they take their seats. So many sad faces. Shawn is asked to read scripture. He reads My father’s house has many rooms from the book of John. Next up is Ciara, who reads a poem Doug loved. The sad faces are all authentic and we all mourn with them ... - Julie gets a helping hand from Eli and Shawn. She delivers an emotional eulogy about Doug the orphan boy who became a fighter pilot. Then came other accomplishments including music and being the mayor. The tears flow and they are all real. Julie lists his favorite things and his many gifts. There is so much to remember from his talent to his kind and generous spirit. To know him was to love him ... The priest closes the poignant service by summoning Liz to lead them in a song he loved. Liz sings I'll be loving you always and the gang join in. Earlier days of couple in love Doug and Julie are shown as the beautiful music ends. Julie mingles afterward with Marie and Liz. Elegant Abe and Paulina tell her the service was wonderful. Steve and Kayla assures her they are always here. Jen offers to walk to the cemetery with sad Julie. Julie will be there soon and stays behind for a moment with Doug's framed photo. Then she gathers her strength and goes on her glam way. Always ... - Belle and Marlena return home. Marlena marvels at Julie's beautiful eulogy for the legendary Doug. Belle sensed Shawn did not really want to speak to her and is still giving him space. Paulina discusses the sermon and eulogy with Abe, how wonderfully Julie did. Lani and Eli return and they all toast in memory of Doug. At the pub, Roman, Jack, Steve and Kayla drink to wonderful Doug who made them all better just cos they knew him ... It is dark by the time Jen returns to Horton house, followed by a solemn Lucas, Ciara and Marie. Marie asks after the mysterious time capsule. Ciara decides to show her Alice's beautiful necklace. Alas it is gone from the box ... Meanwhile Steven sits at Alice's plaque and teases her for sneakily hiding her diamond necklace at Horton house. He might have been tempted if he was not a changed man but is he really ...?! - Julie weeps alone at Doug's grave, surrounded by the red roses he loved, and wonders what she is supposed to do now.
