Aunt Adrienne announces they have unfinished business. Abigail lets her know she is not interested, especially if she means EJ! - Rafe informs Lucas that Jordan has left for an early work call as Lucas slides back next to Cheryl at their table. Lucas suddenly steps away again and makes a phone call. Rafe chuckles what a great date. Cheryl giggles Lucas has lots of work responsibilities. Rafe offers to leave so Lucas and Cheryl can at least have their privacy. Cheryl insists he stay. Meanwhile Lucas is on the phone with Kate to inform her that Jordan has flown the coop! Just then Kate hears Jordan telling Arthur she is hooooome! Kate puts the box back where she found it as Jordan teases her unseen cat she is coming into the bedroom to find him! Kate is soon seen hiding under the bed as Jordan checks her mail and wonders where her baby is. She drops an envelope. Close call. Kate is desperate to prevent herself from sneezing. - As Father Eric prays far away, a gun goes off. Eric sits up with a start, having also experienced something. At the cabin, the picture of the boat behind Nicole has been shot! Dan the man continues to struggle with rowdy Ricardo the DiMera thug. Back at the monastery, Eric stares at a picture of Jesus on the wall and touches his collar. Back at the cabin, Dan and the DiMera killer pound each other. Nicole grabs the fallen gun but steers clear of the two fighters. Eric turns to see Brother Tim the monk. He has had an epiphany! At that very moment, Dan finds the strength to overpower Ricardo and renders him unconscious with a blow. He is out of breath and Nicole gives him the gun. The macho man stops and wonders whether their enemy was not alone. He would definitely have had backup! - Johnny races into daddy EJ's arms at the town square. Suited EJ is sorry he missed his game. Sami thinks they are cute and assures the tyke daddy will be there for him next time. He had work to do. EJ flashes back to his shower steam with Abigail and then notes they have much to celebrate. Sami smiles. She is conservatively dressed, and with her casual ponytail and smart glasses seems to feel comfortable. Perhaps she is too comfortable. - Lucas rejoins the gang at the table and now Cheryl gets a call from her mom. The girl in the hot pink dress steps away. Rafe is mighty glad Jordan suggested this get together. He has been wanting to talk to Lucas about mama Kate! He notes they were friends, then more, and wonders whether she is bothered by Jordan despite her words. He is concerned and cares cos Kate is one of a kind. Lucas agrees she sure is and grimaces. - Jordan asks the elusive Arthur if he is hiding under the bed and reaches under with a hand. Kate freezes. - Back at the pub, Adrienne primly sits down and insists she will be brief. It was none of her business to tell Abigail's mother she saw her with EJ. However, when Sami was on trial, that man threatened her! Abigail's face falls. - Sami wants to take Johnny to the pub for ice cream. EJ laughs and proceeds to race him there, oblivious to what he is running into. - Eric emotionally whispers to the monk that he has been arrogant and selfish. He failed to think of how the Church has suffered because of him. Tim understands for he was traumatized. Eric gasps but the good people at the church were affected by the cruelty of the press. He is so ashamed! - Dan searches the sleeping thug's pockets and gets his car keys. He drawls he will go out the back way and orders nervous Nicole to stay in the shadows. He leaves her with Chyka's gun and takes the gun that was brought by Stefano's henchman, in case he wakes up. "WAKE UP," slurs drugged Chyka. Dan quips if he wakes up, Nicole should shoot! And then he goes. - Kate cringes as Jordan crouches down to look for the cat. But Arthur the feline faithfully appears and a disaster is averted. - Abigail touches her hair. Adrienne now explains she knows EJ loves Sami, which was why he lashed out at her. She cannot fault him for defending the woman he loves. She starts to go now that she has had her say. Abigail gasps she can stay and touches her hair again. She recalls that EJ had high praise for Jack's book. Adrienne now assures her lawyer Justin feels badly about being out of town but the man he recommended for JJ is excellent ... Johnny comes racing in with a greeting for Abigail, who wonders where the boy's parents are. Enter EJ and Sami. Abigail stares at the couple and the smile fades from her face. - Disheveled Dan returns with news that he checked the car. It seems the thug came alone. Nicole updates him on the bad guy's buzzing cell phone. Dan takes a look and remarks there are text messages from someone by the name of Bruno, asking where he is. This is not good! Nicole advises him to answer. Dan drawls she possesses both beauty and brains. He texts he needs some time. Then it rings again. This time it is the phone so Dan lets it go to voice mail. Now another text arrives. Bruno the persistent is coming! Dan deduces the phone is being tracked and announces they must leave. But Nicole refuses to go without the proof she needs to clear the priest who has her heart. - At the pub, as Adrienne admires pictures of the baby from Sami and gushes over Abigail the perfect godmother, Johnny asks Abigail where oh where she has been. EJ patiently and quietly explains Abigail has work. Johnny eats more ice cream. Sami sweetly states he misses her. Abigail misses him too. Sami the good mother now happily reminds her son they have to go to the market for supplies for the cupcake making tomorrow. Sami assumes EJ will be helping him as she has a morning meeting. EJ stammers it would be a disaster with him. Adrienne pipes in that Abigail makes good cupcakes. Abigail emphatically states she cannot help. NO. - Cheryl gets back to the guys and gushes her mom was happy to hear about Jordan as well. She always liked her. Rafe drawls what is there not to like! Cheryl the romantic prods the big guy to call his sweetheart and say goodnight. - Rafe calls Jordan as Kate listens under the bed. Jordan reposes on the bed and admits she is not yet asleep. She had a great time and felt badly about having to leave early. Rafe drawls there will be more together times. She gushes and blushes she is looking forward to it. All of a sudden, Lucas receives a frantic text message from Kate under the bed. GET JORDAN TO COME BACK NOW! Lucas hastily excuses himself as Rafe continues to chat with his lady love. Kate gets a text reply from Lucas, asking what is happening. Jordan decides to go feed the cat. Kate cannot gives Lucas an answer. Lucas texts he knows not how to summon Jordan so Kate threatens to ruin his chances with Cheryl, then covers her mouth so she will not sneeze from the cat fur. - Dan decides he should take the DiMera thug away in his car and leave them with the phone that Bruno the beast is tracking. He will leave them at a train station 50 miles north and catch the train back to Salem. It is an easy enough plan. He solemnly warns Nicole not to stay long, just long enough to record more answers from Chyka. And if she cannot get any? He encourages her she can and urges her to make haste. He checks Chyka , who is still semi-conscious, and warns Nicole the clock is ticking! She helps him carry the body of Ricardo out to the car as Chyka's heavy head hangs in his drugged stupor. Nicole comes back and proceeds to film the doctor with the phone. Where is his documentation? Chyka sighs and gives her a message. THE BOAT IS LEAKING. - Lucas returns to his table and Rafe starts to stand with his cane. Lucas goes after him and insists the night is young.Rafe starts to put on his coat. Lucas pretends to want to help him and purposely trips him. Rafe goes down! Lucas apologizes profusely. Rafe chuckles he is fine but Lucas insists Cheryl contact Jordan the expert to come back just in case. Jordan gets the text and is on her way! Cat allergic Kate coves her mouth with a hand, still stuck under the bed. Exit Jordan. Kate sneezes loudly and tells Arthur to get lost. - Johnny buries his face in his arm, feeling the rejection. Sami explains to her sad son that Abigail has work to do but she knows she would love to help if she could. Abigail suggests another time. Adrienne, however, recalls she stated she has tomorrow off. Abigail lies she forgot. Adrienne gushes then she can help. Sami smiles it would be a huge favor. EJ tries to talk Samantha out of it. But Johnny grins and hopes she will come. Abigail agrees she will be there to help Johnny and EJ with the cupcakes tomorrow. Johnny throws his arms around her. EJ stares darkly. - Jordan comes running into the club. The now seated Rafe insists he is fine, Jordan checks him out and is satisfied. She teases they must have wanted her to come back and Lucas must have been an accomplice. Clueless Rafe chuckles they are busted. - Nicole knows not what Chyka means and calls him a fool. Where is the proof? He hangs his head. She likens the situation to the Superbowl. The Hungarian says 34 75 15. Nicole decides he needs more drugs and opens Dr. Dan's backpack. Chyka observes her with blurred vision. The picture of the ship covering his wall safe is just above her. She wonders which bottle from the backpack contains the truth serum. There are three to choose from. Chyka stares as she readies the syringe. - Rafe has decided to walk his lady home and bids Lucas and Cheryl a good night. Cheryl gushes they are good together. Lucas gasps they are indeed, then claims he must head to the office for an unexpected overseas call. Cheryl assures him she can find her way home, He says to take care and walks out while pulling on his coat, distracted. Cheryl blinks. - Adrienne now informs EJ that Abigail enlightened her on his kind words about late brother Jack's book. She gets choked up and thanks him. He politely says you are very welcome. Exit Adrienne the emotional one. Sami is at the counter with Johnny and he wants daddy to come watch him play his game. EJ will be there shortly. But first he sits at Abigail's table and quietly demands to know wot that was all about. Abigail anxiously explains Adrienne approves of their friendship, that's all. She watches Sami with her energetic son and promises to make an excuse tomorrow. EJ notes that would raise questions so she should come. He now gets back to impatient Johnny and admires him playing his game along with Samantha, the mother and his fiancee, leaving Abigail sitting alone. - Lucas meets mama Kate at the park. She sniffles and complains about Jordan's inconvenient cat. He is stunned to learn she was there but she makes light if it, reminding him he said he did not want any details of her secret mission. He is further exasperated he had to trip Rafe. She sneezes and gets upset about the trip. Is Rafe alright?! Fine. Kate now purrs she has incriminating pictures but Lucas is not interested. She can keep her damn pictures! - Tim tells Eric it is evident he has been thinking. Father Eric announces he finally knows where he is going. - Nicole insists Chyka must give her what she needs. He suddenly sits up and lunges, wrestling the needle from her. She shoves him onto the couch. Chyka bounces back, hits her on the head and grabs what he can, driving off before she can stop him. Chyka has escaped! Nicole cries Noooooo! - Sami thanks Abigail one more time for agreeing to help Johnny. She is sympathetic that being with EJ might make her unhappy as she might be reminded of Chad but EJ is different from the other DiMeras and she will enjoy his company. Sami smiles EJ is kind and sweet and loving with her and the kids. She gushes she is glad Johnny will be spending quality time with someone she likes and trusts as much as her. She hugs Abigail and Abigail hugs her back. Then she goes. Alone. - Diva Kate will not be deterred and boasts of the fake IDs she found in Jordan's room Now she has Lucas' undivided attention. He points out she will be accused of breaking and entering if she calls attention to herself. Besides, people change their names all the time. Kate insists her P.I. will investigate and find something sinister. Of that she is certain. Lucas lectures her for not being happy for Rafe and obsessing. She states she would not mind anyone but Jordan for Rafe. Lucas questions that. He also refuses to be dragged down as collateral damage and storms off. But Kate is not done. She calls Ortiz with his next assignment. - Jordan and Rafe stroll through the town square hand-in-hand and discuss Lucas and Cheryl, the new couple in the making. Rafe thinks nice guy Lucas deserves a nice girl. He drawls he already has one and kisses her in the moonlight. - Eric makes the sign of the cross and stands up. Brother Timothy steps out of the shadows. Eric announces the time has come for him to go for he now knows his path. The monk shakes hands with Eric the priest for the last time. - Nicole is out of sorts from the hit to her head and laments she let him get away. In addition, the cell phone is gone! She notices the picture of the ship on the wall and touches the bullet hole, realizing there is metal underneath. She removes the picture and tries to remember the numbers Chyka spoke before making his great escape. The combination! Those numbers open the safe. Nicole now removes all the files on Eric and the drug cocktails and smiles. There is a God! She raises her eyes to the heavens, holding the proof that could clear the good name of the man she loves ... END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Eric bears news for Nicole. EJ and Abigail are forced to spend time together. |
