Tuesday, February 11, 2014 Episode 12,273 - Will is ready to confide in Marlena as they eat and drink at the club and he bears good news. He stammers and pauses and Marlena teases alas he is saying nothing. Will now happily blurts out Sonny asked him to marry him. Marlena has tears in her eyes and smiles Oh Will! - Crafty Kate is on the phone with her man Ortiz at the pub. The diva demands he investigate the photos she sent him of those fake IDs no matter what! She gets her coffee ready and in flounces colorful Julie, smiling she owes her an apology about Nick. Kate observes her with suspicion in her cat eyes. - At the apartment, Gabi is remembering Nick holding the baby. Sonny notes that they will need to eventually wake up Ari for her doctor's appointment. He asks Gabi what is the matter as she stares into space. He reminds her there need be no secrets. Gabi is decidedly glum. He offers to lend an ear. Gabi sighs it is crazy but maybe just maybe Nick is a good guy now! Sonny is floored. - Nick is at the square all by his lonesome, eating frozen yogurt. He feels like the man of the hour, having gotten spiffied up, his hair slicked back. He spies Abigail alone with her coffee and her thoughts as she obsesses over EJ and the shower. Nick approaches and asks if she is alright. It seems to be a loaded question. Pause. The girl stammers she is fine. And him? He is on his way to Kate and Mad World. They have made up. Abigail is surprised but wishes him well. He grins thaaaaaanks, tells her to take care, and goes on his gangly way. - At the mansion, EJ is working at his computer as Sami yells to Johnny it is cupcake time! She is dressed for success in her stylish geometric red, black and white dress. EJ wishes she could stay and at least show Abigail the kitchen, then laments it is still hard to talk to Samantha at the other end of the corridor. However, he understands she has much on her mind with Eric. She gasps when Eric is back from the monastery, she intends to talk to him about ... EJ wonders about them? He does not seem to agree she should share their personal matters with Eric. Sami sits across him at the chess set now and emotionally explains she will tell Eric how much she loves EJ and how sure she is that he would have stopped what Kristen did had he been aware of it. EJ doubts he will be interested. Sami is hopeful. EJ wonders who she really wants to convince to move forward. Eric or herself? - Nicole finishes her caffeinated soft drink and enters Dan’s apartment, thrilled about what she got in the backpack. She is stunned to find Brady there looking out of sorts and demands to know what he is doing. Fully dressed Brady drawls he came to get away from his prying people and starts to take his leave. First Nicole borrows his phone to send a text to Dan. She is back and where is he?! Dan replies via text that he is on his way. Brady puts his dark coat on and is curious. Nicole gushes she and Daniel have something amazing in store for Eric! - Meanwhile Eric is welcomed back to the church by Father Luis. Father Eric grins he came back from the retreat early for he had no more reason to remain! The priest pleasantly sits and smiles he is at peace. He now knows God's plan and what he has to do ... - Kate wonders. Julie gushes she means Kate is so generous letting Nick work for her again! Kate stares. Julie regrets she ever blamed her for his departure from Salem. Kate flashes back to herself and Gabi and Sami dumping him in the river. Julie sweetly notes there must have been others involved in Nick's departure, not only one person so she should not have blamed her! Kate coldly asks if Nick happened to share the real reason she decided to have him back. - Marlena jumps up, embraces Will and exclaims she is so happy for him! When is the wedding? Will admits he has not yet said yes. Marlena is sorry, she had presumed ... Will sits back down with her and explains he is sure. It is just that things in his life have been complicated and he would not wish to hurt Sonny. Marlena now learns that Sonny is aware of those complications and proposed regardless. She reminds Will how much he loves him. Will sighs he loves him too. Marlena wonders what the real problem is, in that case. She knows there is more to this. Will does not deny it. - Sonny snaps Nick the notorious has not changed! He is livid to learn that Gabi actually let him get close to the baby at the pub. She reminds him he could expose them and she hit him with the rock. And what if he remembers? Sonny knows he remembers. And he has much to lose as he tried to assault her! Gabi suggests Nick forgiving them would be a good thing, though. - Julie admits to Kate that Nick had boasted he had something in his possession that could be damaging to Kate if he took it elsewhere. Kate does not deny it. Julie the bubbly buttinsky muses this time she will be keeping an eye on him too and waltzes out, pleased with herself. Kate curses Nick under her breath. - Belligerent Brady flat out refuses to listen to anything about Eric, cos it reminds him of Kristen. He leaves in a handsome huff. Nicole admires the envelope with the evidence that will clear Eric's name. - Eric and Father Luis shake hands. - Sami whispers she knows this impasse has to stop. EJ thanks her. He understands she loves her brotha. He believes wot Kristen did to him was unconscionable . She sniffles and thanks him for the sentiment, then vows to make Eric see the light. EJ wants to know what she believes. She believes in EJ and Sami forever! Ding dong! Sami now goes to open the door as hiccup Harold is evidently in the wine cellar. Tis young Abigail, wearing a ponytail, wide-eyed, pretty in pink, bearing a muffin pan as well as Horton aprons. Sami thanks her profusely, assures her EJ is here, and makes for her meeting. The girl in pink sighs it is her pleasure to help and walks into the living room. She and EJ exchange a long look. - The blonde in the white suit informs Will that he had said he felt he was asking too much of Sonny to care for Ari and give up his freedom once upon a time. Will remembers and he also remembers she pointed out he could not decide for Sonny, who was with him by choice. Marlena notes Sonny is still with him. The institution of marriage is BIG. Things can go wrong with a marriage but they can also be oh so right! She smiles Will should go for it if he stops trying to control things and it still looks good to him. Will grins and appears to relax. - Sonny argues Nick is nothing but a creep so gullible Gabi must not let him back in her life! She laments he already is in her life and maybe she is trying to be positive about. Would it not be better to give him the benefit of the double and believe in him changing as he claimed? Sonny rolls his eyes. - Slick Nick joins Kate at the pub. He declares the time has come to settle things between them, a glint in his wicked eye. Kate waits for his next move. - Johnny bounces in and Abigail asks if he is prepared to come and create the cupcakes. Johnny is pumped. EJ smiles it sounds wonderful and casually adds he has his own work to do. Johnny insists the teacher said a parent had to help. The mini Stefano will not take no for an answer. Daddy must come to the kitchen too! EJ glances at Abigail and agrees They walk him to the kitchen, each holding one of his hands. - Nicole has the evidence laid out on Dan's leather sofa and goes through everything in her treasure trove. Included is Chyka's journal documenting when and where Kristen demanded his help. And there are the telling drug notes. So many papers so little time! She reads his printout of an email about the plan from an anonymous account which must have been Kristen. Chyka the meticulous European even had a photo of himself meeting Kristen at the park, with her demands as she had told them to him scribbled on the back for posterity. Nicole is completely confident team Eric will be able to bury Kristen the she devil and exonerate him at the same time! - Will assures Marlena she will be the first person in the world to know WHEN he says yes. Marlena is elated. He thanks her for listening. She insists he call her anytime. Julie pops up and gushes about the beautiful christening. Marlena agrees. Julie notes she was gone when Nick arrived and she is happy he is better and seeing someone. Marlena asks if he is in fact seeing a bone fide professional. She and Will exchange a glance when Julie boasts he is better than ever and meeting with Kate as they speak, to get his job back! - Kate expresses her doubts about Nick's assistant. He gushes Percy is great and things are finally going his way. Kate feels the two salaries he is demanding are exorbitant. Creepy music plays as Nick calmly reminds cornered Kate that this is actually an investment in HER future! - Sonny strongly suggests Gabi not make the mistake of trusting Nick. When she mentions letting him hold the baby, he scolds her for her lack in judgment. This is what must happen ... Gabi steps away when Ari cries in the other room. Sonny frantically sends Sami a text that there is an emergency at the apartment now! Businesswoman Sami is walking though the town square, spies the text, and calls work that she will be a little late for the meeting. - After the cupcakes, Johnny is back in the living room with daddy and Abigail, whom the lad calls awesome. He asks whether daddy knew how awesome she was. EJ smiles yes, he knows. - Father Luis approaches Brady at the town square and asks how he is. Brady replies he is better and is about to keep walking. Luis points out his brother Eric has been though much and is back. Has he spoken with him? - At Dan's apartment, Nicole has all her information ready. She puts the papers back in the envelope and wonders where Daniel is. She requires his scientific expertise. Knock knock! She assumes Daniel forgot his key but opens the door to Eric and he is not wearing a collar but a casual blue shirt! She whispers he is back. He whispers he just got home. - Johnny wants to take the perfect cupcakes and show sister Sydney. Papa EJ lets him take one to share with her and reminds his son to say thank you. Johnny calls the baker the best, hugs her, and runs off clutching the cupcake. Abigail is clearly uncomfortable when EJ tenderly brushes some flour from her frazzled face. She stammers she should clean up the kitchen and go but he invites her to stay a while longer. - Marlena cannot comprehend what would possess Kate to hire Nick! - Nick does a perfect imitation of Percy’s trademark GREETINGS to Kate at their pub table. She is not interested. He slurps his coffee and taunts they get along swimmingly. Kate pouts. - At the apartment, Sonny is relieved to open the door to Sami, who is there for the emergency. Gabi is mad. Sonny snaps she was not listening like she never does about Nick. Sami is furious to find out Gabi let him hold the baby. Gabi feared he could retaliate. They bicker and Sonny answers his phone to Will, who hears the arguing. Sonny makes light of it and promises to be there with Arianna soon when Will asks him to come by with her. Will now updates him on Kate hiring Nick. Sonny is exasperated, says out loud that Kate hired Nick, causing Sami and Gabi to stop and stare in horror. Sonny is still holding the phone. Will sighs she caved. - Nicole and Eric hug uncomfortably and she asks him in. He removes his coat and explains he assumed she would be here. She replies she has much to share. So does he! Their eyes lock. - The girl in the pretty apron starts to make her excuse but EJ wants her to stay so that they may discuss an important matter. She breathes okay. He shuts the living room doors and explains that he and Samantha are working hard to fix things. She accepts that and wonders where exactly it leaves her. She must be a complication now, a distraction! Silence. She starts to leave in a huff and he politely asks her to wait. - Sami doubts Kate the great and powerful really needed to give into Nick. What gives? She tells Sonny to take the baby to Will, then ushers Gabi out the door for their own showdown with Nick. - Nick ominously reminds Kate that she met Percy that fateful night as he was bird watching down by the river. He certainly hopes they have an agreement regarding Mad World. All he requires is a handshake, no papers, no lawyers. He extends his hand and Kate glares at it. - Luis realizes there have been problems but Brady and Eric are brothers. Brady bellows his brother bedded his beloved fiancee and then their porn movie was played in church! - Nicole worriedly assumes the Church has spoken. Eric sits her down, sweetly takes her hands in his, and smiles that is not the case. He has seen the light and has something he now wishes to say to her. He continues with stars in his eyes. - EJ politely assures Abigail that she is not a complication or anything negative. She scoffs she knows what he wanted to say and bitterly claims she gets it. He wants her to feel good about herself on her way out. But this is how SHE feels! She feels she is only a problem for him and he wants Sami and it hurts her like hell! EJ stares. - Nick urges Kate to shake his hand, lawyers be damned. Their deal is binding regardless. Sami and Gabi show up and Sami announces the game stops now! Nick the loooooon scrunches up his face. - Luis sympathetically states Eric is still Brady's brother. Brady could not care less and storms off, consumed with rage. - Eric is holding both of Nicole's slim hands on the couch and whispers he has asked to be released from his vows. Nicole tries to interrupt with news of the proof she found but is silenced when he dramatically declares he is in love with her and wants to spend the rest of his life with her!
