Wednesday, February 12, 2014 Episode 12,274 - Cowboy Rafe saunters into the police station and all applaud. Commissioner Roman does not mince words. What da hell are you doin here!! Rafe drawls he has been helping Hope with case files and missed the lousy coffee. Roman wants to know when he will be 100% and back on the job. Soon he hopes and meantime he offers to study any cold case file that could help him nail one Stefano DiMera! Roman grins. The game is afoot. He lists the past crimes the phoenix got away with despite the best efforts of the Salem P.D. Rafe is determined to nail him and it is personal! Roman points out daughter Sami is about to marry the sob's son and their children are in that house. He and mama Caroline are waiting for Sami to see what kind of man he really is when EJ screws up. They are counting on it ... - At DiMera mansion, Abigail the lovelorn repeats it hurts EJ wants Sami, etc etc. He takes a step closer and suggests she not allow this one mistake to define her. She removes her apron and gets upset about JJ facing the judge today. She fears he could be sent to prison! EJ assures her it will be okay. She gasps he has worked hard to turn his life around. More than ever her family believes her to be the honorable Horton and yet she is living a lie. They would be appalled by her actions! EJ notes to err is human. She is still a wonderful person, daughta and sista. She laments they know not what she is like. He sits by the fireplace and tells her not to be so hard on herself. She has her back turned to him, still worrying about what her brother would think. She now turns around and wonders what EJ's brother Chad would think. EJ gets intense. - Cheryl and Jordan are giggling at their club table. At the counter for his coffee, Lucas flashes back to Kate's story about the fake IDs and her plan to bring down Jordan. He sighs she will ruin things for him. He takes his coffee and is about to make his great escape but he has been spotted by Cheryl, who invites him to join them at their table. - At the pub, Nick denies any game. He and Kate were simply discussing his return to Mad World. Sami scoffs. Kate muses pal Percy will also be working there. Sami finds it odd that Kate would want to hire the questionable pair. Nick talks second chances and points out Sami has gotten many, He now drops a bombshell. Despite the fact that they tried to murder him ... Sami stops him right there. What did he say! Nick starts talking about the freedom of the mind to choose. Kate wants him to back up. Nick casually states oh, to the part about them trying to murder him? He smoothly suggests a change in venue. Sami decides on Will and Sonny's place as they are at the doctor with the baby. Nick politely asks if Gabi is alright with that. Silence, He cannot help but notice how Kate and Sami never let her get involved in the decisions! Exit the Salem 3. Nick airily tells the departing women not to start without him. He will be there soon. He now sends a text. - Replay of Eric's heartfelt declaration of love and wanting to spend the rest of his life with Nicole, who is surprised he actually loves her. He is all smiles. She gasps he cannot leave the Church. She cannot let him do this! She stands and so does he. She will always love him ... He assures her he has thought a great deal and wants to tell her what happened. She states she must tell him something too, something he does not yet know! Eric wants her to look at him and so she does. He breathes he realized God does not want him to serve as a priest. The scandal he caused hurt the Church. Therefore, he will do as the bishop advised and resign by the end of the day. Nicole cries he cannot! - Rafe sits across from Roman at his desk and shares his relief that Kate is out of that mausoleum. Stefano knows what he will do if he messes with either of them! Roman does a double take. Are he and Kate back together now? Rafe drawls they are friends only and had ended the affair before he was attacked. But Kate has been in his corner. Roman stares and points out one would expect them be together. Rafe explains he is now with someone else, someone who is true. Roman is still staring. - Jordan gets dismal when Lucas mentions her early appointment. That patient might not walk again. Cheryl insists she is still a healer and a darn good one! Lucas uses the work excuse and leaves. He will go over Cheryl's notes regarding that meeting they are having with the new client. Cheryl is a bundle of nerves over the presentation Jordan notes Lucas thinks she is great so no worries. Outside, Lucas sends a text to mama Kate to leave Jordan alone. She is a nice girl who deserves to be happy! - At the mention of his younger brother, EJ stands and snaps he does not want Chad to find out the mistake they made, as it would serve no purpose other than to hurt him. He pours himself a stiff drink and Abigail takes a deep breath, blinking away the tears. A mistake? He drawls not to torture herself. They made a mistake by acting on impulse and certain people would get hurt if they knew. She gasps a mistake because of Sami? If Sami were not in the picture, would he still call it a mistake or would they be together? - The Nick has arrived at the apartment. Gabi offers him coffee. Sami snaps it is no social call. Nick lectures her for speaking to Gabi with such disrespect. Sami is sorry and claims she is tense. She advises him to be honest. He sighs he was not dishonest. He had long assumed it was understood that they tried to murder him. And they knew he knew too, he was merely being polite. Sami argues blackmail is not polite. He calls the word ugly. Kate steps in and asks if he thinks he will get away with this. Sami insists they were trying to protect Gabi. Nick now brazenly accuses the pair of having their own agenda and almost ruining poor Gabi's life. - Nicole nervously flashes back to the evidence still within her reach, in the envelope. Decisions decisions! Eric realizes the timing is sudden. She calls it stunning, for something huge happened and he must know about it before making any important decision about his future. - Rafe comes into the club as Jordan and Cheryl discuss Arthur and how he is feeling about Jordan and Rafe. Cheryl soon leaves for her big presentation. Jordan smiles up at staring Rafe and asks about his visit to the station. He sits and pouts it was great. She asks if he is in pain. He drawls nope and he almost does not need the cane. She thinks he looks mad. He thinks he looks like he thinks she has not been straight with him! - Kate reasons she and Sami were not the one who hit Nick the notorious on his thick head with a rock. Nick accuses them of trying to throw Gabi under the bus. Gabi gasps she did do it. Nick sanctimoniously states she had every right. He knows it was not Gabi's idea to toss him into the roaring river and accuses Sami and Kate of taking over with their own sinister agenda. He suspects Sami could feel his pulse too! Sami loudly protests and he urges Gabi not to listen. Once upon a time she saved a little bird and he believes she also wanted to save him that night. Gabi gasps yes she did! Kate and Sami are dismayed. Nick the master of spin seems to be winning so far ... - Eric gasps perhaps Nicole does not feel the same way as he does. She reminds him she already professed her undying love. He takes her face in his hands, whispers he loves her and knows she loves him. They can have their happy ending. He gets close and she swoons as he asks for her answer. - Jordan thinks Rafe is questioning her honesty. The big guy grumbles he knows precious little about her. Now they have passed being friends and she is always on his mind! He has reason to suspect she is leading him on. She suspects he thinks that because she is not jumping in bed and hopes this is no ultimatum. Rafe can contain himself no longer and darkly demands to know if she is seeing another. - EJ smoothly states WOT IF is not a good game to play. He makes mention of the fact that he is engaged. Abigail proceeds to pity herself that he does not want to be with her. Johnny interrupts with the exciting news that Sydney likes the cupcake. EJ lifts up his son. Johnny thinks he should give the apron back but Abigail smiles it is his, says to keep on baking, and walks out. EJ tells her his thoughts will be of her brotha today. Now he gets back to his rowdy son, laughing. Abigail walks out and falls to pieces outside the DiMera door. - Sami flies at Gabi. Nick stands up for her and accuses Sami of wanting him dead, hence her real reason for not contacting the cops. Sami reminds Gabi she was actually thinking of her daughter Arianna. Kate echoes the sentiment. Gabi is overwhelmed. Sami accuses Nick of trying to confuse Gabi and call attention away from his own deplorable actions. Nick aggressively denies it, then ignores Sami's protests and decides to answer the knock at Sonny and Will and Gabi's door. There stands a familiar face. GREETINGS! Sami and Kate wish the birdwatcher would shut up and tell him so in unison. - As Eric seductively touches her flushed face. Nicole is mesmerized. She gasps happy endings, then pulls away, recalling the first time they met, the fact that she was always looking for someone just like him after. He is her perfect man! But alas their happily ever after is no more than a dream. Eric breathes the dream begins tomorrow when they are free and clear. She woefully wonders about the cloud he complained about. He explains it is the cloud over the church. Nicole now announces the time has come for her to have her say. - Lucas and Cheryl are with the potential client at the town square café. He shakes hands with Lucas and promises to have the paperwork sent over. They have a deal! He calls Cheryl a keeper and goes on his way. Lucas muses they make a great team. Her coming to Salem worked out way better than Kate could have ever imagined. Cheryl asks for clarification on that comment. Lucas thinks fast. - Macho Rafe knows about Arthur! Jordan confesses they live together, a twinkle in her eye. Rafe quips that explains a great deal and then curses. He had the right to know! She teases she wanted to balance things. Her feelings for Arthur are different and he has given up much. Like what? She gushes it was love at first sight, then the rogue went wild, and the relationship went south, until she had him neutered. Rafe gets it. Arthur is a pet! He takes it well. - Nick warns Sami and Kate to watch how they speak to his pal Percy who saved his life. He remembers as he tells the story of his struggle in the cold water, his inability to swim. And then came Percy, who held out a branch, drew him in, and told the almost drowned genius a word that would change his life forever. GREETINGS! Sami gets sarcastic and denies the charge that they tried to kill him. Nick is amused that is the best she can do. Sami smugly states they were nowhere near the river. He would never be able to prove otherwise! - Eric sighs Nicole sounds serious. She informs him it is and tells the tale of how she and Daniel tracked down the dastardly doctor Kristen used to destroy him. Eric takes it all in. - Nick calmly points out Sami's claim is simply not true, Percy at his side. Sami leers no one would believe the two of them over the three of them. Nick asks Gabi if she is going to keep lying for the two banshees. Gabi gulps. - Lucas covers by claiming he knew the search for the perfect recruit was over when he saw Cheryl’s portfolio. She gushes and blushes. - Rafe gets confirmation that Arthur is a cat and laughs in spite of himself. He points out the male sex masks its vulnerability by acting like a jerk. He overheard her happily talking about the mysterious Arthur, who sounded like a rival. Rafe admits he is in deep. Jordan whispers she is right there with him and they hold hands over the table like a couple of teenagers. - Abigail sits on a bench outside the pub and looks at a photo of her and brother JJ on her phone. If only he knew what she had done! She now continues to obsess over EJ in the shower, telling herself it is wrong but she cannot help herself. - EJ is staring out the window as Johnny impatiently asks when mommy will be home. He promises his son she will be home soon. Johnny scurries out, satisfied with the reply. EJ slams down his computer once alone and growls wotever she is busy doing it had better be important! - Sami orders Gabi to say nothing. Nick is a documented kidnapper and murderer. Kate calls him a backstabber and a user who should not be trusted, Nick reminds them what happened and points out his DNA will be everywhere in the woods. Sami quips not theirs! Nick now appeals to the still silent Gabi. He knows she knows this is wrong, just like what happened that fateful night. Kate reminds Gabi that she and Sami saved her from going to prison. Nick implores her not to be influenced by them anymore. Gabi blinks. Sami holds the door open and glares daggers at Nick and his dapper assistant. - Eric seeks something concrete. Did they actually find PROOF of his innocence, more than just the doctor? Nicole glances at the envelope nearby, her eyes flickering in torment ...
