Enchanted Doug pours out his heart to Holly, then suggests she forget what he said since she is with someone. Alas she cannot and here comes suspicious Tate. He wonders. Holly explains Doug was unaware of their plans. He apologizes he came to get the book for Julie and excuses himself in a hurry. Tate senses something. Holly wonders where he was. He was talking to the perfect couple for adopting the baby ... Chanel worries they might be let down if Mrs. Choi does not approve or worse yet, wants to look over their shoulder. She questions whether she and Johnny even have good Christian values ... - Back at the bistro Steph enjoys her burger and talks club chowder. She was raised in L.A. and the family frequented Magic Mountain, in contrast with Alex's lavish Euro vacations. He wonders how hard it was without her dad. She loves being with the whole family in Salem and has no regrets. Alex marvels it made her who she is and appreciates that sweet soul ... Suave Steve got Kayla a gift and she got him one too. They exchange envelopes and say wow ... Leo and Javi celebrate the score and get frisky ... Kayla and Steve got each other the same thing - 2 tickets for the Chicago Cubs opening day. They laugh and exchange I love yous. They now have two extra tickets. She suggests they invite Steph and Alex. Agreed and now he wants to celebrate ... Steph and Alex are eating a sundae together and he dabs the cream from her face. Then they smooch across the table ... Johnny reminds Chanel she was raised as a church goer which will count and they exchange I love yous ... Tate excitedly updates Holly on Johnny and Chanel's adoption idea. Then he could make Holly his priority ... Hopeless romantic Doug returns home with the late Doug's poetry book and remembers his admission of romantic feelings for Holly ... Back at the cabin Holly acts supportive. She and Tate wish one another a Happy Valentines Day and they embrace. But there is suddenly no smile on her face for the feelings have shifted!
