Stefan is less elated ... Marlena arrives and confirms Everett's CT indicated trauma to the brain. The blonde seeks his story ... Ava demands to know why Stefan is so dire. He flashes back to firing on Harris, who saw him before he collapsed and tries to cover but Ava does not buy his excuses ... Alas Harris closed his eyes after seeing Rafe but reopens them when Medicine woman Kayla speaks. He recognizes her and she thanks God the good detective is back. He wonders what happened and has clearly forgotten the shooting. For now ... Ava is impatient. Stefan says to text him and starts to go - until Rafe stops him ... Tripp tenderly holds Wendy's hands. She thanks him for talking her down and he vows to always be with her ... - Everett and Steph give Marlena the whole story about what sounds like his double-identity - and how Jada proved he was Everett and Robert though he does not remember being Robert Stein or even knowing of him. Marlena asks about the reason Steph and Everett stopped seeing each other in Seattle. He was in an accident and wound up in a coma but when he woke up he came to Salem to find her. He has no memory of being Bobby or knowing Jada. Steph wonders how he can remember her but not his ex-wife. Marlena suggests dissociative or traumatic amnesia could result from PTSD like the accident. Steph and Everett are stunned to hear his brain may have turned off his memory of being Rob Stein. Everett acts upset about maybe being the mean sounding Bobby Stein ... Tripp suggests they talk and asks Wendy about her childhood. She lived in Hong Kong and also India, where her best friend was Samir. When she asks about his childhood Tripp suggests they not go there now since tis too sad. She asks for a funny med school story and gets a few. Then she tenderly tells her hero she loves him ... - Rafe informs excited Ava and anxious Stefan that Harris' eyes are open. The man is awake. He insists they stay but when Kayla comes out to announce the patient is talking he goes back in his room. Harris hopes they got Clyde. Not yet. Harris wonders what went down. Rafe agrees to tell him the short version while grateful Ava and stressed Stefan watch and wait outside the window ... Wendy is frightened. Tripp is more mad than anything and reasons they will soon be rescued. At least he is stuck in this airport beer tank with her. She smiles ... Marlena sweetly suggests they gather more information before guessing. Everett agrees to sign a release allowing her access to his Seattle med records for both Everett and Stein. She steps away. Everett wants confused Steph to know he does not remember Stein and says he loves her. She tersely tells him to wait for the doctor's verdict. He talks brain tumor so she snaps the CT scan would have found it. He does not want to be alone and she agrees to stay by his side ... Stefan and Ava can see Rafe speaking to Harris in the room. Harris is surprised when Rafe states he was shot at the bistro loading dock. What he needs to know is who he was meeting and who shot him ... - Everett hastily signs the release forms and Marlena asks about old friends and family members. He had a reporter friend and an editor in Seattle. She suggests he contact them and drop by to make an appointment with her as well. When she hands him her card he solemnly realizes she is a psychiatrist. She is and will also seek input from a neurologist. He wonders if people ever remember what the brain deletes. She cannot say but there is always hope. Everett looks like he would rather forget ... Tripp tells Wendy the science of how your smile can make you happier and assures her his folks must be searching for them. She decides they are smart and can find a way out for themselves. They start to strategize and Tripp morphs into MacGyver mode ... Harris sees Ava watching through the window and Stephan turning away. Ava has been worried and Rafe has ordered Stefan to stay. Meanwhile Stefan is sweating and wants to split. Ava senses something and he whispers Clyde made him ... Then Rafe emerges and he shuts his mouth ... - Marlena the mind expert runs into Kayla and is happy to hear that Harris woke up. They discuss the curious Everett case and Kayla wonders what her opinion is. She needs to do more research. But they both agree it does not seem to be a case of memory loss. Kayla is concerned he could be faking ... Steph solemnly states she as well as Jada deserve answers. Everett now gets a call from the cops, who have summoned him to the station ... Officer Goldman comes back with her gun and a grin, ordering Tripp to record the written message for his mom - or she will shoot Wendy... Intense Harris watches Rafe with Ava and Stefan, who now hear Harris forgot who shot him. He could not confirm Xander either.
