Tuesday, February 4, 2014 Episode 12,268 - Sexy jazz music plays at the trendy club as EJ the businessman orders a scotch. T teases they could use an extra server today but EJ is no mood for jokes. He now gets a call from Samantha, who sighs she has to spend this night in Chicago, due to a distribution problem. EJ insists she come home to him and offers to send Cedric in her place. Sami starts to blame sister Kristen for the mess and EJ suggests they not make this worse. Apparently she has ignored Gabi's texts about Nick the notorious. Sami is already aware of the reappearance of Mr. Greetings. EJ snaps to stop calling him that and warns Nick is holding all the cards. They must await his next move! - Nick catches up with Abigail at the town square and talks coffee. She sweetly starts to stammer and he wonders whether she is avoiding him. She denies it. They sit and he repeats how she looked as if she had seen a ghost when she first saw him. He now alludes to what happened with Gabi. She asks what did happen with Gabi? Nick stares. He stammers she already knows that he arranged to get her a modeling job and stalked her so he could be with her and Ari. He believes it bothered his cousin. She sighs it did. He announces he is getting help and notes things would have been different if only he had been upfront. From now on he will strive to be direct and honest, just like Abigail is. He insincerely gushes she is his new role model. She diverts her gaze and laments she has made mistakes but he insists she is good as gold. She asks about him. He grins he has a lead on a job. They can spend more time together now that he is back! Abigail forces a demure smile and cringes. - JJ stares at the joint Rory is offering him at Horton house in broad daylight. He informs his stoner buddy that this is no longer his thing! Rory attempts to light it and JJ yells to stop. Rory tells dude he was just trying to help. JJ retorts the only thing that can help him right now is operation Theresa! - Brady convinces Theresa to drink with him. So he thinks. She puts the glass down and pouts. He suspects she does not trust him. - At the nurse's station, Jen listens as Maxine informs a caller that Dr. Jonas is not here and cancelled his surgeries. After the call, Jen yearns to know where he is! Maxine thinks perhaps he is visiting Parker and suggests Jen call. Jen touches her hair and breathes she deleted all his contact details. Maxine muses she knows his number by heart anyway but warns the child one cannot have it both ways. Jen soap stares. - Nicole walks through the snow and exclaims there is Chyka's hideout! Dan clamps his hand on her mouth and warns her to keep it down. She cannot contain her excitement. He takes out his binoculars and she vows he is going down today. Inside said cabin, "Charles Jacob" is making a reservation for a one way flight out of Salem. Outside Nicole is ready to rock and roll but Dan is more methodical and holds her back until the time is right. She is mad and determined to find the truth for Eric. - Sami haughtily states this is not a game, this is her life. She refers to the difficult distributor. EJ urges her to just come home. Sami accuses him of trying to tell her what to do, dictating everything about her life. He sighs he had assumed it was their life. She bitterly reminds him he had told her something had to change, which was an ultimatum. EJ patiently explains it was intended to start a conversation. Sami snaps he always wants things his way and they end the conversation, both feeling blue and let down. Sami sticks out her chin. - JJ spies Aunt Kayla's car pulling up and asks his friends to go out back before she sees them and starts lecturing. When the doorbell rings and JJ bids her enter, Kayla gets straight to the point. What is he doing with Theresa?! Roman saw them together. He explains she was dropping off something for Jen concerning work. Kayla doubts it. That girl always has an agenda. He plays innocent and insists he wants no part of her. Kayla senses he is withholding something. JJ humors her. Maybe she can help. - Theresa watches Brady enjoying his drink and he slurs he will not blow her cover. She calls him a train wreck and he toasts to that, then pours himself another. Theresa wipes her fingerprints from the glass she had touched and he laughs. She snaps what was he going to tell her about Daniel! Brady will talk on his own good time. He informs the insecure girl that Daniel must be attracted to her on some level as they were together that night and it is understandable, given her looks. However, Dan the man has it baaaaad for the fair Jen and wants no one else. He keeps drinking as Theresa insists she knows better how Dan thinks. Brady slurs he knows Dan better. Jen had her heart broken when the doc was with Theresa and he knows he will never do that to her again despite the fact that they are no longer a couple. - EJ is ready to cancel his lunch and go work out with his trainer at the corporate gym. T suggests he eat anyway. He drawls he lost his appetite and arrogantly walks out. - In Chicago, working girl Sami finds out the distribution deal has been accepted. Now happy, she decides she will head home and surprise EJ in person! - Jen gets a text and frowns. - Dan is not even sure Chyka is in the house. Nicole wants to storm on in but he suggests a better way. Inside, Chyka is royally miffed to learn his flight was delayed on account of increment weather. He removes the painting of a schooner from the wall and proceeds to open his wall safe. Outside, Dan tries to tells Nicole that while her intentions are noble, as she wants to clear Eric, there are logistic issues. They have no backup or training and they are out here isolated, unarmed. He suggests they call the cops for help and Nicole snaps he is giving up! He reminds her she is already in grave danger. Once they go in, they have reached the point of no return. Breaking in is dangerous and illegal and she already has a record. Nicole protests. Dan insists he will not let her risk her safety as well as her future. - Chyka shoves his money in his bag and puts back the painting of the schooner. - Abigail woefully enters the club and orders a big black coffee from T, who complains no one wants food today. Abigail now leaves a message for EJ on her phone. They need to talk ... T the gossip boy stares and pours the coffee. She notices and hastily adds they need to talk about press releases the board must approve for the hospital. T tells her she just missed EJ by 10 minutes. Abigail coyly asks where he went. To the swanky corporate gym to work out! - EJ angrily finishes getting changed into his workout wear and pauses to remember Sami hissing at him about what she considered an ultimatum. He is ready to work off some steam! - JJ mentions what Jack did to Kayla and calls it the worst thing she must have gone through, though she forgave him. She admits she managed with time. He wonders how and explains he is not good at forgiving people, then adds if he messed up one more time, does she think his mom would forgive him? Kayla gets worried. Has something happened? JJ sighs Justin was called away and cannot attend the hearing. He has decided to go ahead tomorrow and hopes it is not a mistake. He fears the judge could change his mind. Kayla notes one cannot predict but mama Jen loves her boy, her pride and joy. Nothing will ever change that. Family hug! She assures the troubled teen it will be over soon. - Theresa wants to believe Dan will get over boring Jen. She stands up in a huff, and Brady's drink gets knocked onto his watch. He muses the watch can be replaced and tosses it aside. She tells him he is lucky to have so many things, that must have been a $10,000 watch. He refers to her expensive purse. She snaps it s a knockoff. All her family ever gave her were lectures. Brady thinks stuff is only stuff. She gets miffed about the poor rich boy who has no idea what it is like to be without wealth and tells him to go to hell! She walks out and decides to do something about that check she has been carrying around in her knockoff designer purse. And so ... Theresa soon walks into the store where Rory's big brother works and shows the clerk her check. He requires two IDs. Rory's big brother the stock boy recognizes her and sends a text, then gets his phone ready. - Brady is now drinking all alone at the club. Jen walks in while assuring Adrienne on the phone that she got her message. She will let her know what JJ decides after they speak. She ends the call and Brady asks if all is well. She sits and sighs Justin cannot attend JJ's hearing tomorrow. He tries to assure her things will work out. Jen now notices he is drinking and he slurs he has officially left the program. Maggie overreacted. Jen points out she was just worried. Brady insists he is fine and so will JJ be. She thanks him. He kisses her like a friend and goes, leaving his drink behind. - Dan is still watching with his binoculars and Nicole wonders why he is worried about her as if she is some helpless female. Dan drawls he cares about her. They have been through a hell of a lot together and he will always care. Nicole is touched. Dan now has a Chyka sighting! He is indeed in there! - Now back in Salem, businesswoman on the go Sami passes Nick on her way into the pub and he wants to talk. She tells him to save it, she already heard what he claimed to Gabi and Kate and she is not going to buy it so there! Nick grins like a loon, getting off on the extreme reaction. - EJ has finished his workout and returns to the private changing room, removing his shirt. Now he removes the running shoes and shorts and turns on his shower. Abigail arrives outside the changing area and opens the door. EJ pauses at the shower and orders her to shut the door. She does as instructed, her eyes wide and hopeful. - JJ walks his Aunt Kayla to the door and thanks her for the support. She also intends to be there for him at the hearing. Meanwhile stay far away from Theresa the troublemaker! He agrees and she goes. Rory and Bev come running back with an update. The target is at the store! - At the store, Theresa pretends she forgot her driver's license. The sullen clerk steps away. Theresa sweetly asks the stock boy for help. He grins he will make an exception for her when she laments she might get in trouble from her boss and also needs those debit gift cards as requested. She coos will he do it for her? She fails to notice his iphone has been strategically placed in the front pocket of his shirt. - Dan remarks Chyka is alone and avoiding the window. He has decided Nicole will be his lookout and he heads off on his own. Nicole curses, unhappy about being left out of the action. For now. - Sami gets sarcastic about Nick changing. He reminds her that she has changed and reinvented herself more than once. Perhaps it will take time for him to prove himself to her. Sami suggests they lay their cards on the table. He feigns confusion. She leers two can play this game and he will not win! Nick starts to laugh and winks she can show her cards first though he certainly does not need them. She calls him nothing, he who betrayed Will. She will never trust him! He gathers she wants nothing to do with him but he has indeed changed so not giving him a chance will be her loss! He walks away. Sami grimaces. - EJ puts his towel around his waist. Abigail says she is so sorry for the interruption, but Nick said some things that were hard to take. Like wot? Like he knew she was honest and good. Why, she she felt like he could see right through her and it made her feel terrible. EJ assures the girl she is a good person. Abigail continues. She hates lying to the world but every time she says this is over, she is lying to herself. He solemnly states she should not be here. She gasps no one saw her and they get close and closer until they start to kiss all over again. - Brady is drowning his sorrows at Dan's place, telling himself he has no problem. The bottle is near empty. - Jen gets home, desperately seeking JJ but alas he is nowhere to be seen. - Rory's brother the stock boy gives Theresa her bag of goods and grins knowingly. She turns around, only to come face to face with JJ! - Dan makes a noise outside the cabin window, with a couple of sticks in hand. Chyka grabs his gun and demands to know who goes there! Nicole watches from a distance with the binoculars. She sees Chyka's face at the window as Dan conceals himself around the corner. - Disrobed Abigail and EJ kick the clothing aside and together they step into the shower, where they keep kissing. She closes the shower curtain. Outside ... Sami has reached the private changing area door, ready to surprise Mr. DiMera and thanks the unseen employee who confirmed he was here. Inside Abigail and EJ are kissing nekid in the shower and he lifts up the younger woman with a big grin. Meanwhile Sami reaches for the door handle, a smile on her unsuspecting face ....
