Thursday, February 6, 2014 Episode 12,270 - Jen opens her front door to Hope, whom she has summoned. JJ is MIA! Lawyer Justin contacted her about being unable to attend the hearing tomorrow and she is mega-anxious to find her son. Hope talks continuance. Jen agrees but she fears JJ could be a no-show and blow everything! She has a bad feeling. - By the town gate, JJ tells suspicious Abe that all is well. Theresa taunts that is not true and she would like to enlighten the cop connected Carver. She dares JJ to stick around. She now wonders whether being a Horton, JJ will be getting preferential treatment. Abraham calls the judge fair. She leers then people will have to tell Mr. Judge the accused is not as perfect as he seems. Abe quips no one is perfect, reminds her she has had her fair share of chances, being a Brady, and saunters away. JJ impatiently wonders whether they have a deal or not. Either she is with him or she is going down with him! Which one will it be?! - Abigail is at the club alone, flashing back to reacting indignantly that EJ failed to mention he has not been sleeping in fiancee Sami's bed. She had demanded an explanation but he refused to discuss. Maggie interrupts her obsessive thoughts. Abigail is sorry the Horton aunt was not at the baby's christening. The topic turns to Nick and Maggie smiles she is meeting him tomorrow. She now shares her worry about Brady, who has occupied her thoughts the most of late. - Brady the boozer staggers around Dan's place, knocks glass to the floor so it breaks, and then passes out on the couch. Dr. Dan rushes in and tries to revive him. He wishes he would wise up! Brady now wakes up and the glass and crystal bowl on the table are not broken, they are intact. He tells himself he has everything under control and elegantly walks out. - At the monastery, Eric admits to Tim that he has not come up with a solution to Nicole. He loves her and nothing will change that! - Meanwhile at the isolated cabin in the snow, Chyka panics about what drug he is to be given. Nicole taunts maybe a memory eraser or sexual stimulant or something that will make him buuuuurn inside. Dan quietly readies the needle. Chyka watches with dread, still tied tightly to a chair. He gasps Dan is breaking the law. Dan drawls to start talking cos unless he does, there will be no going back! - Hope is relieved Jen agrees with the idea of a continuance and settles on the sofa with her as the warm fireplace flickers behind her. Jen shares her worry about the delay, however. Both of her kids are on edge and tough to read, unlike Ciara. Hope sighs she is already there with her Ciara too despite her young age. - Maggie sits at a table with Abigail and wonders what she knows about Nick, what really happened. Abigail calls it a mystery. The redhead notes she is off her game too and asks what may have happened ... Abigail touches her hair and claims she is just concerned about JJ's sentencing tomorrow. She invites her to Horton house to cheer up the family. - JJ marches Theresa into the store and Rory's brother greets her. JJ assures her no paper trail was left. She snaps then they have a deal and wants the check back. JJ says no. He will hang onto it and make Abigail assume she misplaced it. Theresa gets shrill for she does not trust him. JJ wonders if she wants the whole world to hate her cos that is all she accomplishes! - At the town square, Brady runs into dapper Abe, who has something to deliver directly from papa John. He hands him an envelope and urges him to open it, at least as a favor to Abe. Brady stares darkly. - Eric turns around in his torment and stares at a holy statue. Brother Tim notes his love for this woman would not change no matter what. Eric confirms. He also confirms he still loves the church. He has loved both for a long time! Tim sighs and goes onto the next complicated question. What about Nicole's feelings for him? - Nicole has the gun on Chyka. As dangerous music plays, Dan drawls they only care about clearing Eric's good name, Nothing else matters! He urges him to do the right thing. A frown creases Chyka's intelligent brow. Nicole prematurely picks up the iphone and starts recording. - Hope sighs her angel has become a secret keeping bully! Jen assures her the girl is still a sweetheart. Hope realizes it is because Bo is not around. Poor little Ciara believes daddy no longer loves her as she is a bad girl or maybe mommy is keeping him away. Jen asks if she told Bo. Repeatedly! Hope suddenly realizes she must get going to her appointment with Father Luis and the father of the boy her baby has been bullying. Jen makes light of the conflict, encourages her, and after she goes, tries to reach JJ again. - Theresa accuses JJ of hating her. He reminds her he was real nice and accommodating once upon a time yet she treated him like an utter fool. He finally saw the light and realized she is the biggest loser! He reminds her his mom made them give her another chance. Without her she would be in jail! Theresa warns him to quit while he is ahead. JJ now reminds her he saved her sorry behind by sending for Daniel when she overdosed but then she twisted it around and made his mom think the pair were sleeping together. He is done with her brand of crazy! She tells him not to be so sure about that. - Belligerent Brady would rather not open the letter, as he still harbors deep-rooted anger toward his father. Abe insists. Brady complies and proceeds to read it out loud. Despite the fact that they are not Bradys, writes John, his son will always be his son and also a Brady. Brady reads the rest fast and furiously. John explains he wants a relationship with him, how much he means to him though the past year took its toll. Brady scoffs he has his answer. He tears the letter up and gives it to Abe to pass it on. Abe takes a deep breath. - At the rectory, Aiden reminds his seated son he has done nothing wrong. Hope arrives with Ciara and tells her daughter to say hello to Chase. The girl does. Hope now gets a text that Father Luis is delayed by 20 minutes. Aiden arrogantly ushers his son to wait with him outside, so they do not have to spend any time with "these people." Ciara snaps that is whys she hates him! Hope wants her to hush. - Tim would like to hear the story of Eric and Nicole. Eric gushes she was his first love and then when he came back as a priest, she helped him immensely He could see she loved him and he let her know after some time that he loved her too. Tim would rather discuss duplicitous Nicole, that infamous self-serving woman! - Chyka thinks Dan and Nicole are bluffing. That syringe likely contains a harmless saline solution, Dr. Dan solemnly puts the needle to his neck. Chyka starts to sweat despite his outward bravado. - Theresa leers she thought JJ was trouble and dumb but in a good way. He is still a jerk but smarter than she thought, that is all. She flounces off in her fury and and JJ sighs finally he is free of her! So he thinks. - Back at the house of Horton, Maggie informs Jen that her daughter Abigail seems to have something that weighs heavy on her mind. Jen already knows and asks the redhead about Brady. Maggie laments he is spiraling out of control and no one can save him! - Brady in black is drinking at Dan's place again. Hurricane Theresa storms in and blames him for the stupid thing she did with that check, though she remains vague. She has to plot her revenge! - JJ has returned home to jumpy Jen. He calmly assures her from this moment on, it will be smooth sailing. No more worries! Mother and son embrace. - Eric emotionally defends Nicole the changed woman. Tim notes she has lied about loving him for a long time, as per Father Matt. Eric concedes she probably did not want to be sent away from the rectory. Tim talks the pattern of lying and asks him if he truly wishes to sacrifice his priestly position for a woman who lies to get what she wants, perhaps on a daily basis ... - Nicole stops Dan, pointing out he could lose his medical license. She offers to do the deed. The medicine man solemnly states he must do this right, it is not something a civilian should undertake. She whispers he is stubborn. He drawls so is she. She adds she will never forget him for it and steps back. Dan now injects the prisoner in the neck as he protests. Nicole watches and waits. - Father Luis is sitting in a circle with Aiden, Hope, and the two kids.Luis notes Ciara has been teasing Chase but the boy is not blameless, as he recently ripped off her uniform emblem. The lad has been having anger issues. Ciara reminds him she did not tell on him at the time. Chase states he acted because the girls were all laughing at him. The priest points out they both should apologize. And so they do. Father Luis praises them both and takes them to the chapel for a chat. - JJ puts away his phone and informs mama Jen he was out thinking. He concludes he is good and ready for the hearing and would rather not wait. Abigail and Maggie appear and he tells the gang he feels all will go well tomorrow. - Theresa will not share the name of the jerk who played her. Brady can relate cos he was played twice by the same wicked woman and he was also played by his family. He was a big sucker and chuckles he found a solution, holding up his glass of hard liquor. Whatever gets you through the night. He and Theresa laugh as they exchange cheesy sayings. Brady keeps drinking. - Back at Horton house, JJ pretends to find Abigail's check for hospital supplies in a drawer. She lost it days ago and cannot believe he found it! She has been so scatterbrained of late. JJ makes light of the mistake. Everything has a solution. She pouts not everything, then wonders what he is not telling her. He grins things are looking up so just be happy. - Eric intends to enlighten Tim the disbeliever about Nicole. He accused her of being the woman in the hotel room and said cruel things that broke her heart. When he begged her for forgiveness, she readily gave it. She is a different woman now. He adds he loves his friends and family but he loves Nicole above anyone except ... Tim the monk finishes the sentence for him. "God?" Eric gasps yes, his eyes filled with tears. - Nicole notes the truth serum must be taking effect. Dan asks groggy Chyka his name. He says he already knows it, as well as his address. Nicole crouches down and tells him to come clean about what he did to Eric. - Abigail complains to mama Jen that she is just as incompetent as that Theresa. What if someone had stolen and cashed the check! JJ nervously excuses himself for a glass of water. Jen gushes that did not happen and people make mistakes. Abigail touches her hair. Jen reminds her she can confide anything to her and promises not to be judgmental. Abigail nods sure. Jen now smiles there is bake sale and they have to help Maggie in the kitchen. Abigail accompanies her, though she is clearly no longer content with the complacent Horton life. - Hope tries to be sympathetic parent-to-parent with suited stuffy Aiden, who remarks she has no idea how he feels. She points out they are both parents. Aiden snaps if she wants to be nice, then she should keep her daughter away from his son and walks out. The priest comes back and wonders what happened. Hope sighs he is an even bigger jerk than she thought. - Theresa smiles it has been a blast trading clichés and tells a bemused Brady that he is forgiven. Unlike a certain someone! Now she is off. - Dan administers another dose of truth serum, determined to get the potion doctor talking. Chyka vows he will not incriminate himself. Dan tells Nicole to wait. Chyka hangs his head and she assumes he is passed out, then threatens to shoot him. - Tim has been convinced that trusting Nicole and her love might be the right thing for Eric to do. But he needs to make his decision before the church decides for him! The time has come to pray and ponder. - Brady the boozer tells himself to eat, drink and be merry for tomorrow we shall die. He takes yet another drink to numb the pain of his empty existence. - Back at Horton house, the Horton women rally around JJ. No doubt he will get off with community service. That is the general feeling. - Meanwhile Theresa the terrible tells herself she will get revenge on him and mommy dearest sooner than he thinks. Trouble is on its way! - Eric suggests Brother Tim the monk has missed something. He will be defrocked as he cannot prove his innocence so he has no church choice to make. Tim chides him for his human arrogance. God's will works in mysterious ways and a miracle could be taking place right at this very moment ... - Chyka the captive stirs and Dan demands his name. Jacob Karl Chyka, born in Budapest, Hungary 1979. Dan takes Nicole aside. The truth serum was a success and now he will talk! But out in the dark trees, evil lurks. Ricardo is on the phone with his boss Stefano DiMera. The rogue doctor has company at the cabin. Should he eliminate them all? Inside, Nicole starts recording. Dan asks if Chyka knows a woman by the name of Kristen DiMera. Chyka replies without hesitation. OH YES! Dan and Nicole smile triumphantly, unaware that evil has plans of its own ...!
