Here comes Chanel ... Fake Rafe Arnold must think fast when Jada wonders why he changed what he was wearing before ... EJ drags unconscious Rafe down to the DiMera dungeon via the secret entrance ... Chanel invites Joy to join her and Johnny for a friends party at the DiMera mansion. Joy wants Alex to come too. Alex agrees but then rolls his eyes ... Gabi suggests she and JJ crash some party together. Johnny steps up and invites them both to his and Chanel's mansion bash ... Fake Rafe claims he changed cos he spilled coffee on himself. Jada has never seen these clothes. He lies he bought them at the mall after spilling the coffee. She buys it and he asks about her big news. She admits she got EJ fired as D.A. ... - EJ comes back and finds Belle waiting for him. She wonders what he was doing down in the DiMera tunnels ... Chanel looks forward to seeing Alex and Joy at her and Johnny's party and flounces off. Joy and Alex are stressed about it already ... Johnny tells Gabi he misses her at the house and also invites Ari. Alas she is with the dads for New Years. Johnny still hopes she and JJ will attend and walks away. JJ senses her hesitation and she states the DiMera mansion is haunted ... Steph left a message for Phil about needing to attend the DiMera mansion party in case the other Lady Whistleblower made an appearance. She asks him to attend with her. He reminds her that EJ loathes him. She would loooooove having him as her date ... Fake Rafe wonders how EJ reacted to the firing news and snorts as he laughs. She now tells him who is replacing EJ ... EJ claims he was overseeing construction workers and admits to Belle he was just sacked. That's why she came ... - Phil agrees to be Steph's DiMera mansion date and she is delighted. He will pick her up when texted and gives her a kiss on the cheek ... Alex and Joy continue to talk about the secret they are keeping that Joy slept with Chanel's hubby ... Gabi explains to JJ the mansion is haunted by her memories of Stefan and others. He suggests they go elsewhere. She decides to face her demons at DiMera mansion and stick it to EJ ... Johnny overhears fake Rafe calling EJ an oaf. Jada is surprised to discover that despite their differences Rafe has been doing P.I. work for his father. Johnny decides they should attend his party. Fake Rafe loves a party and accepts. After Johnny goes Jada gets mad he accepted an invitation to the house of the guy she just got fired! - Belle is about to tell EJ she is new D.A. when Chanel interrupts to tell EJ about her and Johnny's New Year's Eve party. He sighs he already dismissed the staff. No problem since Roman will be catering. Chanel now wants to go down to the wine cellar now to pick up ... EJ stops her in a panic and Belle notices ... Glam Gabi is dressed to kill when JJ arrives. He says wow and she wows him right back. She cannot wait to make EJ squirm ... EJ claims the construction down in the tunnels is unsafe. Belle reminds him he was there and he claims he got a talking to. However he will arrange for the champagne. Chanel sweetly invites Belle as well. She can borrow one of her dresses. Once they are alone again EJ tries to make amends with Belle. He suggests they are both single and should be one another's New Year's date. Belle is bemused. He quips not to tell Samantha ... - Fake Rafe assures Jada if she hates the mansion they can make their great escape at midnight ... Steph opens the door to dashing Phil in her golden dress. Cinderella finally finds her designer shoes and they are on their way. Alex sees them in the hall and unhappily wishes them a happy new year. He admits Phil said they were progressing. Turns out they are attending the same party. Alex explains he must pick up Joy and heads off. Steph's face falls ... Johnny is surprised when his wife in a towel tells him that she invited Joy. He makes all the right moves and she agrees to shower again - with him ... Fake Rafe goes ahead at the mansion and informs waiting Jada he will check it out and get her champagne if all is above board. Phil and Steph arrive ... Anxious EJ has hung a homemade DO NOT DISTURB sign on the secret DiMera door that leads to the wine cellar and secret tunnels galore. Fake Rafe enters. EJ hates hearing he brought Commissioner Hunter to the party. Jada enters with Phil and Steph. EJ asks Rafe to help him pour the champagne. He then orders Arnold to go back to Argentina. Real Rafe is locked in the secret room. Gabi arrives and date JJ is not far behind. ... Belle now appears in one of Chanel's glittery numbers. EJ admires the view and gushes she looks great ... - Johnny and Chanel open the front door to Alex and Joy. Chanel graciously greets them but Johnny gets tense .... Belle admits to Jada she has not yet had a chance to tell EJ that Paulina just gave her his D.A. job ... Meanwhile the guests mingle and fake Rafe stuffs his face. EJ is a nervous wreck ... Alex goes to get Joy a glass of champagne when Nancy calls. She points out she is at a party. Here comes Johnny, who wants to talk to her alone. They head upstairs. Alex come back with champagne for two. Chanel is now desperately searching for Johnny ... The countdown is about to begin ... Alex spills champagne on Steph's dress ... Sultry Gabi tells JJ that at midnight she will blast EJ. They have both had a rough time and he is happy to start a new year with her ... Phil and Belle toast to better days ... Gabi starts the countdown ... Happy New Year! Alex watches Philip getting to kiss the girl. Everyone has someone to kiss but not EJ, who downs another drink ... Upstairs Joy and Johnny raises their voices. She gasps if Chanel knew what had happened between them ... Drums play and there stands betrayed Chanel. This time she has heard every damning word!
