E admits since the coma he has had dizzy spells and could use a protein bar. Chad helps him up and calls out to the kids they are going ... Nicole states she and EJ must stay in Salem as he works to rid Salem of the dealers. Paulina and Abe are here should she need anything. Nicole appreciates it ... At the park Jada complains to Rafe about a security guard searching her purse as a store owner refused to believe she had left her badge. They even accused her of lifting a lipstick she had bought weeks ago!! Thank heaven she was recognized by others who had shown up. Rafe gives his sweetheart a supportive hug ... - Inside the pub Chanel updates Johnny on Paulina's upcoming appointment. She is so afraid and swears him to secrecy about it. He states he loves her and kisses her ... Sloan wonders what the subject of Leo's column is. Not her this time, but unless she starts paying it could happen! After his taunt and tata he walks off. Sloan exclaims they had a deal and he gave his word! Here comes Nicole, who wants to know what Leo gave his word about. Sloan sighs in exasperation ... - Back at the office Everett munches his energy bar and assures Chad he is better. They discuss the podcast and Chad warns him not to make a big deal of Paulina's possible cold ... In her office Paulina admits to Abe she is worried about her voice ... Rafe and Jada sit at the pub. She marvels about a woman of color becoming a detective for a metro police force, which was not possible back in the days of protest. Johnny comes with the menus. Jada wants something special. Here comes Chanel with the last donuts. Jada just loves them ... Investigative Everett wonders whether Chad uncovered any DiMera involvement on the case. Chad changes the subject and here comes Leo with his new late article. He excitedly sends it to both his bosses ... Sloan snaps Leo was her client. She claims her life could not be better and asks after Holly. Nicole states soon she might be getting treatment in a famous hospital in Italy. Sloan is relieved to hear she wants to join her and Nicole notices ... Leo waits with bated breath. Chad and Everett are mega impressed with his story ... Sloan insists she is just happy about Holly getting treatment. Nicole says thank you. Sloan lies she has become religious. Nicole hears she and Eric have invited John and Marlena over for dinner tonight. She is anxious about impressing Marlena so Nicole suggests a big glass of wine in advance ... Abe and positive Paulina sit down for the podcast. She feels perfectly prepared ... - Chanel enlightens Johnny on the fact that profiling is not a thing of the past. They have come a long way but the road ahead to an even better world is longer ... Sloan has two bottles of wine ready already. Nicole reminds her Marlena is a woman who has had her own problems like with daughter Sami. She suggests she ask her for advice and Sloan is grateful - but not enough to give back her baby ... Hoarse Paulina updates worried Abe about getting her test results tomorrow. He wishes to accompany her ... - Businesswoman Chanel remembers when daddy lost his job and they lost their health insurance. Mayhe he would have made it if things had been different ... Johnny is sympathetic. Chanel feels fortunate for her now but Johnny believes he is really the lucky one to have her ... Rafe recounts to Jada how a clerk once gave him a hard time after seeing the name on his license was Hernandez ... Jada waves to Chanel to come over and they talk about strange hair touching. Johnny joins them. Jada remembers a girl randomly wanting to touch her hair at school. Once home her mom explained how to stand up for herself. Now she wants the full breakfast menu! Johnny gets going to fulfill her request. Rafe teases the good natured DiMera to get to work ... Sloan appreciates Nicole's suggestions. Unsuspecting Nicole feels she and Sloan could have been friends in another lifetime ... but appreciates her generosity. Sloan sighs she has not been generous ... Everett wants to publish Leo's great piece but Chad worries about the fallout. Everrett points out the right thing to do is to publish it and the three guys share a group hug ... Back at the pub Jada admits her mother was not happy when she got engaged to a white Jewish guy but he disappeared .... - Paulina thanks Abe for his endless support. He is grateful she helped him with his recovery and wants to be here. She is ready to go live with her message about this important day and quotes James Baldwin. Abe finishes the quote with her as her voice falters ... Nicole believes Sloan was very understanding when she left her off the hook for taking her son. Sloan admits the day after she saw her lunching with Eric and Holly. It bothered her but now she is glad Eric had time with Holly. She knows he will always love the girl and gets going ... Leo is over the moon but wants the rest of the day off and suggests Xander is not really working at home. Chad suggests he help pick up the trash at the park as they did. Tis his civic duty ... Jada enjoyed the catch up with Chanel, Rafe and Johnny. Johnny admits Rafe was his idol when he was a lad. He has been having a dry spell with the filming and wants to do something that makes a difference. Chanel mentions Paulina's podcast. They decide to tune in ... On the air Paulina suggests they all love one another and strive to make their world a better place, where they can raise their voices in unison. She and Abe clasp hands.
