Solemn Stefan ends a call with Clyde and is sorry to tell Ava that the bad batch of pills came from them. Clyde wants them off the street now. Ava sighs how ... Tate assures EJ he was trying to protect Holly. EJ insists he is like his drug using parents and blames him for Holly being close to death. Upset about Nicole's suffering, he vows to bring Tate down ... - John suavely asks doc her resolution. His is a lifetime resolve to never let the sun go down without telling the woman he loves how much he loves and appreciates her. Marlena is moved and marvels she did something right. John tries calling Brady, worried he was gone so long. Here come Teresa and Tate. John and Marlena are horrified to hear about Holly and stunned to hear Brady supposedly supplied the drugs because that does not sound like him ... Rafe hauls Brady to his office and warns him EJ is out for blood. He can see he is trying to protect Tate and really had no drugs ... Ava ends a call with contact Dom, whom she now owes a favor for getting as much product off the street as possible. Stefan worries what he will want in return ... Here comes Tripp, who wants a word alone. Stefan steps outside. Tripp seeks assurance his former mob princess mother had nothing to do with the drugs that have hit Salem with a vengeance ... John wants the whole story and they hear Holly took pills laced with opioids. Teresa tells them Brady confessed. John takes off to the station. Marlena offers anxious Tate warm milk and he accepts. She steps into the kitchen and Teresa assures him all will work out. He is mad she wants his dad to take the rap cos he already has a record! Marlena returns with the milk. Tate heads to bed instead. So he says ... - Ava is caught off guard by Tripp’s suspicions. He notes she needed a job and was hired by Gill, whom she offed. She reminds him it was self-defense. Tripp senses something strange with Stefan buying the bistro and Ava breaking up with Harris cos he was a cop … Brady insists he is guilty. Rafe warns his prints will not be on that bag, which will mean his confession would make Tate appear more guilty. He has not officially taken his statement so tis not too late. Brady still wants to sacrifice himself for his son cos EJ is out for blood ... At the nurse’s station EJ gets stressed and hyperventilates. Then he storms off ... Teresa tells Marlena she did not imagine Brady would relapse and is certain he would not have given Holly drugs. Now she asks to keep her posted cos she has to get to Alex. First she will check on Tate ... Ava claims she ditched Harris as he cheated. Tripp remains suspicious and can sense her nervousness. She swears she is done with the Vitalis. He wonders then why did she want him to leave Salem. He asks her to let him know if she is in trouble ... Stefan is standing out back when raging bull EJ confronts and blames him for Holly ... Teresa gasps to Marlena that Tate has left ... John shows up at the station and tells Rafe to wait with the questioning until he gets Brady a lawyer. Rafe returns to Brady and asks who he got the drugs from. Brady claims he cannot recall. Rafe gets no answer when he asks if a drug tox would be positive since Brady is trying to save his son just as John now wants to save him ...
