THIS TV EPISODE WAS TWEETED ONE HOUR AHEAD BY DAYSCAFE :) TROUBLE IN PARADISE Wednesday, January 29, 2014 Episode 12,264 - At the apartment, Gabi admits to Will that one knows nothing for certain with Nick, who claims to want to be friends. Will worries. It is true one has no idea what Nick really means and one might not even want to know! It was like that when he tried to keep his baby from him. He said one thing with a smile, then did the opposite. Gabi must attend to the crying baby in the other room. Once alone, Will vows he will not let Nick slither back into their lives. - Nick reminds Kate of the last time they were together and she cringes in the square, flashing back to leaving him in the river. The diva regains her composure, then pretends all she remembers is the fact that his virus destroyed her company files. He explains that virus really only destroyed his files but he does feel rather guilty and therefore wants to make it up to her with his new stuff. She turns him down and he solemnly states it is not a good idea. Kate calls that a threat. He innocently asks how he could threaten her. She impatiently states she could never rehire him after that virus and get her board of directors to approve. He threatens to make her life a living hell ... by approaching a rival company, costing her business millions. He dangerously whispers she does not want him to have to hurt her, does she? - Brady reaches for a drink at the well stocked Kiriakis bar but Maggie appears and she is not impressed. She is aware he has been drinking and it worries her, it does. She talks rehab. He calls her idea dumb. The redhead is exasperated. - Father Luis meets with Hope at the rectory. She laments the father of Chase has not been easy to deal with. Just then papa Aiden walks in and gets testy, Hope calls it a private conversation but he argues he has the right to be here too! He accuses Hope of not listening. She sarcastically asks what his idea of a solution would be. He tells sweetheart to put her daughter in public school or wait for the little hooligan to be expelled! Luis thinks he is out of line but Aiden is on the attack and blasts Hope's whole family, including the priest on the scandalous sex tape. Luis warns Aiden if he does not cease such attacks, his son will be the one who is expelled! Hope winks with a smile. - At the hospital, Theresa accuses JJ of following her. Jumpy JJ claims he is here to see Abigail and he is not stalking Theresa. Just then Abigail arrives and drops her things. Theresa leers they should ask her if it is true. - EJ toys with his glass as Sami enters in her cocktail dress. She wants to know whether he managed to convince Abigail to keep her mouth shut. He flashes back to getting hot and heavy with the girl in the dingy supply room and finishes his drink. Abigail, says he, is the least of her problems. The real problem is Nick! Sami quips maybe not. EJ cannot believe she bought his story about not remembering. That is all it was. A tall tale! - Bev is now at the town gate, leaving an anxious message for JJ, hoping Theresa did not notice her. She left that envelope in HR beech Anne's office as per his instructions and sure hopes Theresa will find it and get lost! Meanwhile, back at the hospital, Abigail covers for her brother and tells suspicious Theresa he was indeed meeting her today. Theresa cannot let it go. Abigail wonders why she is so interested. Anne steps up and asks if there is a problem. Theresa smirks all is just dandy and gets back to work. JJ and Abigail head home to talk for real, in private. - Brady sorts through the mail and Maggie reminds him of the 12 steps. She has two books so they can read the book of steps together. They begin with the first page. But Brady is bored and brazenly pours himself a drink. He raises his glass and defiantly drinks up. She sighs in dismay. - At Horton house, Abigail wonders what is brewing between her brother and Theresa the terrible. He, in turn, wonders why she is so frazzled. He suspects a guy and assumes she picked another one who makes her miserable just like Chad. She confirms it is a guy and he wants a name. Not a chance. - EJ stares at Samantha and realizes she actually believes Nick's story. They discuss. Sami thinks it is fortunate he even remembers his own name, given the heavy hit to the head, the subsequent near drowning. EJ deduces she is afraid of wot would happen if he did remember. She thinks EJ just wants her to need his help again. EJ sits at his desk and advises her not to underestimate Nick the notorious, else she could find herself in peril. - Nick announces he wants a job, much to Kate's surprise. He laughs to think it over and take her time cos he is sticking around. Exit smiling Nick. Kate wonders what the son of a bi*ch is really up to and her phone rings. - Abigail primly places the tea on the coffee table. She does not wish to discuss this guy who torments her. JJ deduces he dumped her. Abigail silently obsesses over the last time she saw EJ in that room, then brings up her brother's situation. He sighs he is determined to make sure Theresa does not cause any problems for his hearing tomorrow. It is all he thinks of! She wonders what the minx knows. JJ fibs he fears she would just try and cause trouble by making him look bad. He intends to neutralize her first. If she gets in trouble at the hospital and gets fired, then her probation is done. Abigail worries he has too much at risk right now and suggests he avoid Theresa at all costs. He humors her. Big sis proceeds to give him a pep talk and he plays along. Abigail hugs him and returns to work. - In her office, Anne and Theresa cackle as she informs her she suggested Theresa be involved in sensitivity training. Theresa prefers to talk Dan. She feels her sweet routine it is going well with the medicine man and soon Jen will be crushed. Anne is pleased and hands her some sheets. Once Theresa goes, Anne realizes she forgot an envelope with her name on it. - Aiden suddenly admits he has been overly protective since his son's mother died. He implores the priest not to kick him out. Luis agrees but only if he stops suggesting Hope's daughter be kicked out. In fact, he recommends a meeting with both the parents and kids. When he steps out, Hope makes an effort with the widower. She understands how hard it is when a parent is not around. Ciara has an absentee father. She wonders which day would be convenient for him. - Brady boldly accuses Maggie of projecting her own drinking problem onto him. His only addiction was coke. The redhead returns his glare. A DRUNK CAN’T HAVE AN OCCASIONAL DRINK AND BRADY YOU'RE A DRUNK. He snaps to butt out! She snaps so be it and turns away. Brady begs her to look at him and assures her he loves her, for she has been there for him through thick and thin. However, he cannot bear this pressure. Maggie cannot continue to be his sponsor without his cooperation. He claims he needs no sponsor anway so he is gone from the meetings effective immediately. He walks out and Maggie cries in frustration. - Nick casually sits at the club, where T the server recognizes him. He explains he is a friend of Gabi's and thought he had moved to New York. Nick waits for his beer and announces he is back. T acts pleasant enough but when he gets back to the bar, he sends a frantic text to Will that Gabi's psycho ex is at the club right now. Ominous music plays. The kind that tells you something or someone is going to explode one of these days. - EJ reminds Sami how Nick operates, from underground. Sami insists he went under the river. EJ quips he had to have popped up somewhere. Sami feels he would have gone to the police if his memory was intact. EJ impatiently knocks on the desk and now reminds her that she had ended their standoff and yet it seems to continue. She hyperventilates about Kristen trying to hurt her brother again. She wants him to find out who hurt her brother. EJ exclaims he would if he could! Sami now becomes distracted by a text from Will, who wants to meet. EJ stands up and dramatically declares something has got to give for they cannot continue this way. Sami's answer is to get her coat and walk out without a word, her black high heels clicking after her. - Bev and JJ confer at Horton house. He hopes the plan will go well but now his sister knows he is up to something, though Bev's name was not mentioned. He is mighty relieved Theresa did not see her but the risks remain high. Theresa could send him to jail in a heartbeat! - Theresa tries to talk to Abigail by the nurse's station. She thinks she is losing it cos of demanding boss lady Jen. Abigail quips she would look good no matter how lousy she was at her job compared to her! Theresa taunts her for her pent-up sexual frustration and slithers away. - Sami arrives at the apartment, having been summoned by Will. Kate comes in behind her. Will notes Gabi will explain cos something came up and he must take care of it! He puts on his jacket and leaves, slamming the door. Gabi now updates her partners in crime that Nick's request of her is that they be friends. Kate muses his request of her is that she give him a job. Sami sarcastically suggests an office with a river view. - Brady the boozer saunters into the trendy club. Bartender T takes his order for a scotch. Brady takes the heavy glass in his hand but does not drink. - Hope offers to get someone to cover for her at work. Aiden agrees to the time. Hope tries to be nice and suggests maybe things will get easier. But Aiden coldly wonders if they are done and excuses himself to return to his son. Hope puts on her coat and mutters what a creep. - Brady crosses paths with Will as he exits the club and Will enters. Will is intense. He saunters toward seated Nick, who claims it is good to see him. Will snaps Gabi said he wants to be friends. Nick pleasantly points out he has much to make up to him and Gabi. He wishes to atone for his mistakes. Will stares coldly. Nick reminds him of his bad prison experience and assures him he is working on being better. He hopes the fact that they are family counts for something. Will coldly warns him not to push the family card. Nick notes he will still prove himself to them all and gushes he is especially motivated! - Hope and Ciara are dining at the pub. Hope asks about her day at school. Ciara thinks it was not anything different than the usual. Hope puts salt on her daughter's food and explains she has spoken with Father Luis. Ciara hopes she is not in trouble. Hope now brings up Chase. Ciara wants ketchup and calls Chase mean. He says mean things. He always boasts about his dad, who he wants to be like when he grows up. Hope is starting to understand what the root of the problem is. - Brady returns to the house of Kiriakis and informs reading Maggie that he ordered a drink at Sonny's club form a bartender called T. He left that drink untouched and suggests she call T to confirm. Maggie is no fool. She thinks he merely did this to show her. Brady takes off again. - Bev fears exposure from Theresa the terrible. JJ assures her it was only a long shot. He doubts she will take the bait. Meanwhile Theresa finally finds the envelope and opens it. Inside is a check for Abigail. She sighs someone thought she was still Jen assistant and then gets to thinking ... - EJ gets an unexpected call from Abigail, who wants to talk. She is standing alone at the town square and is sorry she threatened him earlier. Lonely drinking EJ thinks that is sweet and muses it was not a threat that bothered him. He concedes this is a complicated situation. She adds she has decided not to tell Hope anything, He is most grateful. She knows he does not want to talk to her but he insists he is actually glad she called. They bid each other good night and Abigail is confused by his sudden warmth. What just happened? - Back at the mansion, EJ stares out the dark DiMera window. - Meanwhile Sami insists the Salem 3 not let Nick have any power over them, regardless of what he does or does not remember. Kate makes a face when she adds one would believe three upstanding citizens like themselves over him. Sami corrects that. Mostly upstanding and she only did some prison time. Still, they cannot give in to Nick! Kate and Gabi agree. The Salem Three feel they are a force to be reckoned with. - Nick holds his beer bottle and admits to Will it hit him hard when he saw them all at the church. He really messed up. He calls Will a lucky man, pays for the beer, puts on his black coat, and walks into the night. T asks Will how it went. Will is not sure. T thinks that one has a bad vibe, one cannot know what he is up to. Will solemnly states that is what worries him as dangerous drums play in the background. END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Dan and Nicole come up with a way to exonerate Eric. |
