Thursday, January 30, 2014 Episode 12,265 - Jennifer the jogger in white stops for a breather at the town square, where she catches a glimpse of Theresa and Dan her former man walking arm in arm. She blinks and realizes they are merely a happy couple who happen to resemble them. - Nicole is elegant in her fuzzy beige sweater when Dr. Dan bursts into the apartment with exciting news. They can help Eric and the medicine man knows how! - Far away at the retreat, Eric prays all alone, surrounded by candles. Brother Timothy appears in a monkish robe and Eric introduces himself. Timothy has been assigned to the fallen father and they have much to discuss. - At Horton house, JJ is with Bev and Rory, whom he considers his only real friends. Rory is pumped to be included in the Theresa scheme and learns JJ wants him to make sure Theresa takes the bait! Rory asks his dude buddy if the risk is worth it. Bev confirms Theresa the terrible is up to no good and she wants to send him to jail. JJ thinks this is his last chance. - At the hospital, working girl Theresa gets her mail from Amy and asks how people hand out the wrong mail. Amy admits the basement mail people are hardly functional. Theresa gets confirmation a check could even fall out and get shoved in the wrong envelope. She thinks she hit pay dirt! The boss is out and she orders a certain someone on the phone to come see her later. Now she heads out for an important meeting she does not want to miss. - Rafe is seated at the club and T stops his cane from falling to the floor. Frustrated Rafe thanks him and drawls he cannot wait to be rid of the thing. T thinks he is doing great and asks after Gabi, now that Nick is in town. Rafe is shocked that the Fallon is back! - In dream world, Gabi is blindfolded as Nick leads her to the roaring river, promising a surprise. He grins they are friends, no need to stress, and she removes the blindfold. He marvels how serene and secluded they are here down by the river. Tis the ideal spot to picnic. She nervously notes it is cold. Nick ominously agrees. In fact, the water might even be as cold as the night she pushed him in! He now shoves her in and she screams. He apologizes and pretends to reach for her as she flails, only to laugh wickedly and shove her back down to drown. Gabi wakes up with a start in her bed. T'was just another nightmare. - At the pub, Julie asks Nick if Gabi is receptive to him now. He replies Gabi will be surprised at how much he has changed if she gives him a second chance! Julie puts cream in her coffee and advises Nick not to push the girl. Nick slurps his coffee and insists Gabi will be the one to decide the nature of their relationship. - Dan rummages through his backpack and proudly produces the printout list of doctors who had access to the designer drugs used on Eric. Nicole asks if they should give it to the cops. No need to tip anyone off that the hunt is on! It will be high risk, though. Is she in? Of course! And the station has all kinds of ways to conduct research under the radar. Only problem is she might not be employed there anymore! Time to do some damage control. She intends to smooth over her spat with Miles. She will do it for Eric! Dan muses when God closes one door, Nicole finds a way to bust it down! She laughs. He goes to change into his street clothes and they agree to meet up at the TV station. But on her way out, Nicole runs into Theresa the terrible. Dan appears, fully dressed, and she sweetly reminds him of their breakfast meeting. Dan informs Nicole he will catch up with her later and she waltzes out, after giving Theresa a look and snapping how nice too meet her. Dan suggests the pub but Theresa wants to stay at his place. Dan sighs. - Gabi comes out in her pink sweater and finds a note from Will that he and Sonny have taken Ari out for breakfast. Knock knock! Tis Rafe She opens her door and hugs him tight, filled with fear Rafe is intense and less than pleased that Nick is back in town. He calls his cane an excellent weapon. She assures big brother she is fine. Rafe suspects history will repeat itself and Nick will try and worm his way into her good graces again, under the pretense of friendship. Gabi does not get how he knows Nick wants to be friends. Rafe admits he managed to pry it out of T and now gets an update. He worries he could stalk his sister despite his so-called change. Gabi notes he is getting professional help but Rafe knows that one was a loon even before he went to the slammer. Gabi assures him she is not going to get romantically involved with him. Rafe has his doubts and vows to make sure Nick stays out of her life forever! - Dr. Chyka relaxes at the hideout cabin and sighs finally, rest for the wicked! - Jen comes in from jogging, less that pleased to find JJ with his stoner pals. She kicks them out and expresses her shock and dismay that nothing has changed with JJ! - Far away at the retreat, Brother Tim hopes that Eric slept well in their somewhat Spartan place. He wonders why Eric has come to question his vows. Why now? Eric sits opposite him and stares. - Miles and Nicole meet at the club and he cracks jokes amid talk of drinks. She offers up an apology, and hastily reasons he needs her more than she needs him. She could always go to the competition! - Daniel informs Theresa he only can spare a few minutes. There is a matter he and Nicole must attend to. Theresa pretends to be sorry if she upset her. She wonders whether they are romantically involved. Dan would rather they stick to the topic at hand. He adds he and Nicole are friends as he has no time at present for a relationship. Theresa slithers into his space and purrs she can relate for she has to know someone very well before taking the relationship plunge. She flirts how much he has helped her. If only there was a way she could thank him! She now brings up calling him when Brady was in bad shape. It felt good to give back. Dan peers at her. She coos they were a good team. Dan the man now decides the time has come to set the record straight. - Jen angrily warns JJ if he cannot convince the judge he has changed, he could go to jail! He exclaims that is all he can think about! He is desperate not to go to jail and end up like cousin Nick. Jen accuses him of putting himself in jeopardy with those two troublemakers! JJ insists his friends stand by him. Besides, they do not do drugs in his presence. Jen scoffs. He assures her he knows only too well what is at stake here. - Julie laments to Nick that she was glamorously cruising around while poor him suffered at the hands of that man. Nick tells it like it is, no longer in denial. The man raped him and he was ashamed. Now he knows it was not his fault. It was brutal and unprovoked. She is sorry she reminded him. Nick explains he is coping. One is not supposed to bury bad memories. One must keep them at the forefront at all times. Julie is proud of his apparent progress. Nick the loon grins. - Gabi takes her brother's hand and implores him not to interfere. Nick only wants to be friends. Rafe is increasingly suspicious and questions her defense of the one who already harassed her. He senses his sister is keeping something from him. Gabi flashes back to bashing the big rock on Nick the attacker's head down by the river and her eyes flicker. She admittedly does not want to anger Nick and now that she has gotten him to be alright with what she did to him ... Rafe stands up in exasperation. What SHE did to him? She pretends to be referring to turning him down for New York. She sighs she would rather forget Nick anyway and begs her brother to let it go. Rafe mutters he will protect her and the baby and make sure she does not have to worry about that one ever again! Gabi gasps in agreement and they embrace. - Dan steps away and praises Theresa for helping Brady and also taking charge of her life. He adds they are both not at a place where they need a relationship and alludes to the fact that they will never be. She gets closer and mentions that fateful night. It is so unclear how he came to be there and what happened ... Ring ring! Tis HR Anne so Dan insists she answer. He points out the boss would not approve of her being here. Theresa still hopes they can talk soon for things remain unclear. Dan sees her to the door and ushers her out. Theresa pauses in the hall, and tells herself it went well. She is in no hurry. - JJ is sulking at home. Jen the jogger breathes it will be alright. He sighs it is just one more day. She suggests he get to school. He just wishes he could do something to take back everything he did to Daniel. Jen notes one cannot change what one did, only what one does ... - Far away at the retreat, Eric confesses that these days he is questioning his vocation. Tim talks about his feelings for another woman. Does he feel forsaking his vows would be the solution or would it be too easy? He will probably feel he is a priest forever. Eric is torn. Tim now wants his side of the Kristen DiMera story. - Meanwhile Dan and Nicole are at her computer at Titan TV, the place where ip addresses are untraceable and information station is the name of the game! Nicole muses she is the one with all the ratings. She has managed to remove another name from the list for one doc is in prison. Dan does not want to give Eric false hope. Nicole now informs him he is on a spiritual retreat. - Tim points out to a stunned Eric that thus far, he has not produced any evidence. Eric stands up and gasps does he not know who Kristen DiMera is! Tim suggests the video showed how willing he was and the parishioners saw too. Eric loses his cool. - Dan asks if Eric is alright. Nicole mutters about when they were alone, then suddenly finds something BIG online. LOOK! - Theresa bumps into Jen at the hospital and helps pick up her files. So much for her daughter employee! She now spies the new ad for the hospital Valentines celebration and smiles how time flies. Jen grabs it back. Theresa taunts she knows who HER date will be and flounces off. Ring ring! Tis Liam calling. Jen gushes she was thinking about him too even though that is not entirely true. - Gabi glumly enters the club and T stammers he spoke to her brother. She already knows and understands. T finds it is freaky Nick is back and wonders why. Gabi suggests they postpone their gettogether. He wonders if she is getting back with Nick. Negative. She just needs a little time and hopes he understands. T assures her he does. - Tall Nick is walking through the town square, his footsteps fast and purposeful. Rafe is in hot pursuit with his cane and calls out his name. Nick stops after the town gate, turns around, and says it is good to see him up and around. Rafe grimaces. Wait until he is done with him! - Tim the Irishman explains he merely wants Eric to come to terms with his conscience and what he believes, what is deep in his heart. Is he sure his devotion to his vows is absolute? It sounds like that is no longer the case. Eric considers. - Dan watches with bated breath as Nicole enhances the photograph she found. Tis none other than Dr, Chyka and they recognize him. Nicole gasps that is the one who tried to kill her and Eric! Meanwhile, back at the cabin Chyka drinks fine brandy as the fireplace warms the cozy room. He peers at his computer and is furious to find an article about Eric and Nicole surviving their attack. Two witnesses are on the loose! - Bev joins JJ and Rory outside the pub with ominous news. JJ's judge just gave shoplifting Cole the maximum sentence to make an example of him. Rory notes he did give JJ a second chance. JJ panics but if his plan blows up, then Theresa will send his second chance straight to hell! - Theresa sits with the seedy guy she has working in her office and when the card comes out of the printer, she is elated. Tis a fake medical staff ID with her photo but bearing the name Abigail Devereaux. Theresa the terrible plans to cash that check! - Nick assumes Rafe is wondering why he is in Salem. Rafe gets sarcastic about his latest change. He knows it all from before and will never be a believer. Nick calmly asks what he wants. Nothing. He growls not to have any contact with his sister or the baby. Is that clear! Nick notes that is up to Gabi and turns to go. Rafe exclaims he is not finished and reaches to grab him, only to fall onto the ground after his cane. Nick pauses and glances around ... END Ahead on Days of Our Lives Dan and Nicole come face to face with Chyka! Jordan shows up in time to help Rafe. |
